Hi,
My name's Jeremy.
Welcome to this guided meditation where we're going to help support and harmonize our lung function energy.
This practice is most comfortable to do when you're laying down or reclining in a chair.
So find a comfortable place to lay down,
Maybe crawl into bed.
It's a great practice to do right before you go to sleep.
Maybe grab some pillows to rest under your arms.
We're going to be resting our hands on a couple of energy lock areas that are connected to our lung function meridian.
So once you've found a nice place to relax or recline or lay down,
Bring your right hand over to your left chest.
Just below,
Directly below your left eye,
Where your collarbone and sternum come together,
Just beneath your collarbone to the left of your sternum,
About directly down from your left eye,
Feel around and you may find a little tender spot.
And if you do,
Stay connected with this tender spot.
If you don't feel anything sensitive,
Simply just rest your fingers or the palm of your hand right there where your clavicle and collarbone come together.
And then with your left hand,
Look for the bottom of your left ribcage,
Also directly down from your left eye.
Feel around at the bottom of your ribcage and you will likely find a little tender spot.
And if you do,
Stay connected with this.
If you don't feel anything sensitive,
Simply rest the palm of your hand or fingertips right there at the bottom of your ribcage.
And without effort,
We're not pressing,
We're simply jumper cabling or the life energy that animates us and makes us alive flowing through our left and right hands are acting as positive and negative jumper cables of life energy connected to these terminals related to the lung function meridian.
You can close your eyes,
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your toes and legs,
Relax your forehead,
Relax your jaw,
Keep your lips together,
But your teeth apart.
We're going to be breathing in and out through our nose.
And just simply begin to notice your breath rise and fall.
The lung function is a fire element and we can help increase or strengthen this fire by feeding air.
So we're going to deepen our breath and we're going to focus on exhaling completely and emptying our lungs.
There's no need to count or pause between breaths.
Just whatever your exhale is,
When you get to the bottom of your exhale,
Blow out just a little bit more,
Emptying your lungs completely,
And then receive a complete full fresh breath.
Exhaling completely and receiving deeply.
You can also bring your awareness to the pulse in your hands as you continue with your deep breathing.
You may notice one or both of the pulses beating.
Maybe you feel one but not the other,
Or maybe you feel them both but they're out of rhythm.
And so we're going to simply hold these areas until the pulses beat in rhythm with each other.
If you're not feeling a pulse,
That's also okay.
You can just simply leave your hands there as jumper cables.
Just as the moon influences our hormones and biological cycles,
The astrological constellations have an influence on our major organ energies.
And Aries is directly related to the lung function energy.
Aries means to arise.
It's about initiation and inspiration.
And the lungs are inspiring.
They're being inspired.
Every exhale,
Emptying completely,
Relaxing just a little bit deeper,
And every inhale,
Filling your lungs with fresh abundant breath,
Listening for the pulses to beat in rhythm with each other.
It may take a few minutes,
Or five minutes,
Or ten minutes.
If you are experiencing lung difficulties in your right lung,
Or maybe you have something physical that has manifested in your right lung,
You can simply reverse the hands to the right side of the body and help more specifically the right lung function meridian.
So you would bring your left hand to your right chest near the collarbone and sternum,
And your right hand will be at the bottom of your ribcage on the right,
Directly below your right eye.
Find the little tender spots,
If you can,
And simply connect with them with intentional touch.
Breathing deeply,
Exhaling completely.
If you're experiencing chronic lung projects,
Like asthma or COPD,
You want to practice this meditation every day,
If not twice a day.
And see how the cumulative effects build up over time.
It's very simple,
Yet very powerful.
Breathing deeply,
Exhaling completely,
And just listening to the pulse without judgment,
Without effort,
With compassion.
You now have a simple practice that you can employ almost anywhere,
At any time,
To help strengthen and harmonize your lung function.
Thank you for joining me for this meditation practice.
Namaste.
