There are times in life, when people leave or we may have to leave people, places, etc. This may trigger abandonment and/or aloneness feelings. This is a guided meditation to allow ourselves to come home to tend to these feelings in order to recognize how it is okay to feel these feelings. The latter part of the meditation is then stepping into your truths and tapping into the part of you that can see your love, strength, and safety within the internal and external world.

Alright everyone,

Let's go ahead and get settled within this space and place and allow ourselves to just come back,

Come back,

Come back,

Come back to the here and now.

Let's come back into our bodies,

Out of the mind,

Out of the stories,

Into this present moment.

Let's simply allow ourselves to just be here,

Right here,

Right now.

Let's allow ourselves to come home to this body,

To this mind,

In order to hold space for the subconscious,

Unconscious parts of self that may feel alone,

That may feel abandoned,

That may feel like they've hit this rock bottom,

Internally,

Mentally.

We're coming home to this feeling and holding space for these feelings in order to process,

In order to feel,

To heal,

To recognize your truths.

We're allowing yourself to just be with these sensations regardless where it is.

It is safe to feel,

It is safe to feel even if it is pressure in the chest or throat or stomach.

Wherever it is,

It is okay.

We're holding space,

Holding space,

Holding space,

Holding space for these feelings,

For this story of aloneness,

This story believes that I myself am not enough and I'm alone within this world,

This part of self that feels helpless.

Holding space,

Holding space,

Holding space in this safe environment.

It is safe to feel,

It is safe to be,

It is safe to just be right here.

We are okay,

It's just a feeling,

Just a thought,

Just a story,

Nothing more than just a feeling,

Just a thought,

Just a story.

Holding space,

Holding space,

Holding space for that which we have run away from,

Repressed,

Rejected for so long.

We're holding space and observing these feelings,

These thoughts,

Observing,

Observing,

Observing,

Observing,

Observing,

Observing in order to step into the truth,

The truth,

Truth,

Truth.

We are observing in order to recognize that we are not that which is impermanent,

We are not that which is impermanent,

We are not that which is impermanent,

Which are simply these feelings that are fleeting,

That arise and pass,

That arise and pass,

That arise and pass.

These stories of aloneness,

They will arise and they will simply pass as well.

They are not self,

Not I,

Not me,

Nobody,

They are simply thoughts.

Thinking is simply thinking,

Thinking,

Thinking,

Feeling is simply feeling,

Feeling,

Feeling.

We are holding space in order to feel,

To heal,

In order to see the reality as it is.

We're holding space,

Holding space,

Holding space in order to transcend into your truth,

To step into your truth of who you really are beyond the external world,

Who you really are beyond these feelings and thinking.

It is okay to feel,

It is okay to have these feelings of aloneness,

It is a part of life,

The suffering,

These thoughts,

But what we are doing is being aware,

Being mindful because we can still have these feelings,

Yet be free from them,

Knowing that they are simply feelings and thinking,

It just is.

This is what we are doing within this moment.

We're holding space to allow the charge to simply pass.

There is the feeling and the thinking which is what is,

But what we have control over is our reaction to what is.

This reaction to what is is what keeps us in this hole spiraling down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down for days and hours or for however long,

But this reaction to what is is what we can truly change by finding peace and equanimity with what is,

Knowing that feelings are just feelings,

Thinking is just thinking and that this moment shall pass,

This moment shall pass,

But it is okay to feel this way especially if things are going on within this external world,

But we are learning and we are growing to hold space,

To come home,

To love,

To compassion for ourselves knowing that it is simply the inner child that is feeling hurt,

But we can come back home and tend to its needs,

Tend to its needs in a lovingly way,

Tend to its needs with your care which is more than enough.

Whatever is going on within the external world and the internal world,

Whatever darkness that is going on,

This is just allowing us to truly come home,

Back to ourselves,

Back to our truth,

Back to knowing that we are love,

That we are never alone,

Alone yet never alone within this world,

We have amazing support systems,

We have amazing friends,

We have amazing people around us,

We have amazing nature around us,

We have amazing nutrients around us,

Oxygen,

Air,

Just everything,

There is so much abundance within this world,

But when we are in a state of shutdown we cannot see the world in a safe way,

But this is a reminder that you are safe within your body,

You are safe within this external world,

You are safe within this space and place,

You are safe,

We are safe,

Your inner child is safe just as it is,

We are giving it that love,

That nurture that it didn't perceive in the past,

We are coming home,

Coming home,

Coming home to knowing that we are love,

Knowing that we are supported within this universe,

That the world is supporting us as well,

That we have ourselves to support ourselves,

That we actually have so much within this space and place,

So much,

So much,

So much abundance,

Let's step outside of the aloneness frame and step into the abundant frame of seeing how much gratitude we can feel for this space and place,

For this darkness that is bringing us back to our love and light,

That is bringing us back to our truths,

Bringing us back to seeing the reality as it is,

Seeing from a place of love,

Remembering that we are love,

Remembering that all is well,

Even in dark moments,

All is well,

We are safe,

We are safe,

We are safe,

You are safe,

You are safe,

You are safe,

I am safe,

I am safe,

I am safe,

We are safe,

I am safe,

You are safe,

Eternally,

Alone yet never alone,

Alone yet never alone,

You are okay my dear,

Come back,

Come back,

Come back.

This was so soothing and comforting when feeling caught up in waves of sadness and melancholia. Thank you for the opportunity to acknowledge the emotions and let them pass.

that was unbelievable, one of the best meditations I have encountered in the three years I have been using the IT for myself and my psychotherapy patients. consonant with the understanding of developmental trauma that underlies ifs, emdr, and other approaches, but more than that so incredibly creative! thank you for investing so much in this meditation, for your use of repetition and pacing which transcends mere words, though your words too are exquisitely chosen. what a gift it was today to listen to it, the gift of myself ๐Ÿ’š
