Hello,

I am Jennifer Bregula,

And in this talk on navigating life's crossroads,

Embracing change,

Empowerment,

And authenticity,

I'd like to share some guiding principles that support you if you're seeking personal growth and as a lead-in to a more fulfilling life.

This is a talk about releasing fear,

Embracing choice,

And designing your path so you can unlock what has remained hidden up until this point,

To reset,

And to actually thrive.

So I'd like to start us off with a simple brain gym exercise,

And this resets and rebalances your left and right brain.

So it takes a little longer to explain it than to actually do it,

And it starts with placing your right hand over the top of your head,

Your crown,

And a couple of options here.

You can use your other hand to place over your belly,

Your solar plexus,

And you can even add on a silent affirmation if you choose to,

Once you get used to practicing this exercise.

And we're going to breathe in for five,

And then exhale for five,

Starting now.

Breathing in,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

Hold,

And release,

5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

And then switch.

So now your left hand is over the top of your head,

Your crown,

And again,

If you choose to,

Your right hand would be over your solar plexus at your belly,

And you can add on a silent affirmation if you choose to.

So inhaling again for five,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

Hold,

And then release,

5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

And relax,

Honoring that space between breaths and noticing how you feel.

Sometimes people report feeling a softening,

A settling,

And it's like a subtle landing,

Arriving here in this moment.

And as we talk about resetting your life and being able to embrace change and empowerment and really come into your own,

It's important to release what's been created out of fear,

Obligation,

And guilt.

These are powerful motivators that often drive our behavior,

Our actions,

And even become habits.

And it's really nice to be able to reflect on what are our real motivations and intentions behind what we do.

And recognizing when we are moving from that place of fear,

Obligation,

Or guilt,

And you notice the F-O-G,

That's fog,

And it really creates this dense energy,

It's heavy,

It presents everything as obscure,

And it's really hard to see our path,

We kind of just feel our way around or move out of habit.

And so recognizing what has been created out of fear,

Obligation,

And guilt,

And be willing to release that and realize that you do have the power to actually choose how you want to be in this world.

So what truly motivates you,

Inspires you,

Can become your intentions,

Your guiding force of how you want to direct your time,

Energy,

And attention so that you feel more alive,

More clear,

More confident on your path,

And really know why you're headed in the direction that you are.

And then to exit any situation that doesn't have your best interests at heart.

And these are areas in your life that pertain to your career,

Your business,

Relationships,

Even old hobbies that may no longer interest you.

You know,

What are you interested in now?

What's important for you now?

And where can you honor yourself more?

And as you think about those beneficial interactions,

Then it supports beneficial interactions in the way that you interact with the world,

With your work,

And with others in your life.

And also to embrace the unknown,

You know,

We often want change and yet fear at the same time.

So actually embracing the unknown,

Being open to experience new life potentials,

Ways of being that you may have neglected,

Abandoned,

Or haven't yet experienced.

There is so much of life that is yet to be discovered.

And there may be so many aspects of yourself that is waiting to be revealed,

And to have their expression out into the world in your relationships,

And new discoveries,

Experiencing new things,

And maybe even a new career,

Or following a calling if you've always felt driven to a higher purpose.

You may also be sensing that there is this higher calling,

Something that you're being pulled toward,

That has yet to be born inside of you.

So being open to experience those new life potentials,

And actually embracing the unknown.

And as you start to do that,

You find yourself there's this freeing up of energy,

And you become even more inspired and motivated to try more new things and expand,

Expand,

Expand into a whole new way of being,

And to surrender to the process.

This is where you get to just allow life to unfold in the way that it's teaching you,

And that it's happening for you,

Not to you.

So really surrender to the process,

And this cultivates trust and strengthens your faith.

And when you think about faith,

That's another acronym for finding answers in the heart.

So this is where you really tune in.

And quite often,

We tune in all the time through all of our senses.

Some of us more than others can really absorb everything like a sponge.

And there's so much stimulation that's going on right now,

That is invading our hearing and our taste and our feeling and our emotions.

And we're losing that sense of touch,

Actually,

Too,

Unless you're surrounded by people all the time.

There's so much screen time now where we see people and we interact with them and we're talking with them,

But we're not really touching and feeling and hugging each other and having that full body experience about being in presence with another being.

So bringing that in more again,

And it could be tactile,

You know,

Soft textures,

Or moving your body or hands through water.

It could be,

You know,

Taking a bath or a shower and really feeling how the water lands on you and brushes off or laying in the grass or hugging a tree,

You know,

Bringing touch back into your life,

Petting your pets.

You can maybe think of some other things where you can reintroduce sensory experiences in a more beneficial way.

I find going for walks in nature really helps me to restore my senses and especially having some quiet time,

Really important,

Especially when you're an empath like me.

So soothing your senses is something I'd really like for you to consider as a new self-care,

Soul-care practice.

And then to also engage in your creativity,

This could be dancing,

Creating a business or a project idea,

Exploring the different ideas you have.

It could be artwork,

Painting.

It could be gentle movement.

It could be redecorating a room.

Think of some ideas that you can start to engage your creativity again.

And you don't have to be an artist or a creative person to be able to do that.

We all have a creative sense about us.

And so what would you like to create?

Where can you explore doing something a little different to really engage your right brain?

That's another way to rebalance.

And then evolve into a higher consciousness model of living.

This is where you get to move beyond all the feelings of not enough,

Which self-care practices tend to perpetuate,

You know,

That we're always needing to improve or not get enough of sleep or the right foods or exercise and all of those things that are very important and foundational.

But it kind of perpetuates that idea that we're not enough.

And so if we move beyond that into our growth zone activities,

So ways we can expand,

Live life more fully,

Really start to engage in the things we love to do or haven't made time yet to explore or haven't explored in a really long time that we used to love doing.

So creating some space for that and making conscious choices around that to zoom out a bit and see the bigger picture,

How you actually want to be living your life,

To give time to reflection and dreaming.

So moving into and evolving into a higher consciousness model of living allows you to elevate and engage in life even more.

It really takes some time for yourself,

You know,

We allow our appointment calendars to fill up with everybody's else's,

Everyone else's needs or everybody else's expectations.

And we often put ourself on the back burner,

You know,

So why not,

If you have a Calendly or some other appointment booking system,

Book yourself into one of those appointments.

And then maybe even make a list of how you might like to spend that time,

Could be doing nothing,

It could be going for a walk.

If you need to repair something that's been neglected or make an appointment with a health practitioner or a healing practitioner,

Or to go for a massage or a spa treatment or whatever it might be,

Taking time to smell the roses even or do a little bit of gardening,

Connect to the earth,

Just taking time for yourself,

Putting it in your planner,

Scheduling that in for yourself,

Or even just giving yourself a few moments to really connect,

Connect with who you are and yourself,

And even reflect on who are you when you're by yourself.

Hmm,

That's an interesting one.

And then tend to what you've been putting off.

So this,

When we keep putting things off or do things or not do things because we're holding ourselves back from it,

It drains a lot of energy.

And we can become anxious and depressed,

Anxious because we're not getting to the things that we want to or breaking promises to ourselves that we have to tend to all of these fears,

Obligation and guilt kind of activities and tasks.

Or there may be repairs that haven't been done or like I mentioned earlier about appointments that need to be made.

Whatever it is that you've been putting off,

Make a point of getting to it every day,

Do something,

Think about what's the next safe step I can take to move this forward and then do that,

Because that really builds momentum,

Restores your focus and puts you on a path that you can confidently move into because it empowers you,

Knowing that you were able to accomplish that,

That you were able to get there,

And it frees up so much energy.

And in fact,

My motto is to free your spirit to direct the life that you're meant to live.

And that spirit is that energy that you feel inspired by.

So really taking inspired action and feeling the freedom of being on purpose,

Intentional and making conscious choices as you increase your awareness of what it is that best serves you and your interests and supports the way of life in the way that you want to be living.

So I hope these tips and strategies have helped inspire some ways that you can reset your life and start to navigate life's crossroads in terms of what's serving you and what isn't and where is that motivation and intention coming from so that you can practice discernment and then to feel more confident about embracing change and being curious about what else is possible.

Because again,

That will empower you and it's a way of staying true to yourself.

And when you keep what's true in front of you,

You won't get lost that way.

You won't get stuck in the fog where everything's obscure and things become more clear,

More focused and more aligned with who you truly are.

So I'd love to hear how this is going for you.

You might want to listen to it a few more times and really capture the essence of what's being conveyed here and how it might inspire you moving forward.

Every moment is an entry point into your future.

So how do you want to live from this point?

Take care.

Super Jennifer!!! Awesome work as always! And I’m cheering you on as well! I recently did make ginormous breakthroughs with finally starting to share a draft of my book which has been years (and really a lifetime) in the making. Also I reconnected just like you say in this talk with an old activity I used to enjoy (and still do!) which is drawing in pen and ink. I even framed my latest drawing and it has a matte as well! Plus I made a breakthrough with getting old songs mastered which is a technical process that improves their audio quality to bring them up to date and ready to share!!! And I started charging for my work!!! A miracle breakthrough! And I applied to have a solo show at a gallery!!! Thanks for your miracle teachings!!! Kindness Jon I will listen again for sure!!! Blessings!!! (time passes) Wow Jennifer! This is amazing and so in line with what is happening in my life. I had visions of me leading workshops and allowing all of my own hopes and dreams to flow lovingly into the world!!! Higher level model of conscioussness living indeed (((((((heart)))))))))
