Connecting To Your Intuition
This guided meditation will help you connect more deeply to your intuition by slowing down, diving deep within, and connecting to the sensations in your body. You will go from surface-level brain activity to deep calm and clarity

Hi everyone and welcome to this meditation on connecting to your intuition.
So just take a moment to arrive here and find a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down.
Just take a moment to listen to what your body needs.
There are no rules.
There's no perfect way to do this meditation.
All you need to do is to listen to what your body is asking you.
Is it asking you to lie down?
Is it asking you to sit up?
Is it asking you to be outside?
So just take a couple of breaths here and tune in to see what your body is asking of you.
And as you find your comfortable position,
Just start to find the flow with your breath as if you were trying to catch a wave surfing.
Just follow the inhale when it wants to come in and then follow the exhale when it's naturally ready to go out.
And just keep following the flow of your breath for a couple of minutes without forcing anything so that this whole experience to begin feels very organic and very natural and completely effortless.
Start to bring your awareness to the sound of your breath and slowly,
If it feels comfortable,
Start to expand your inhale.
So just let your inhale take up a little bit more space when the breath goes in and try to start to extend your exhale as the breath comes out.
So when your inhale comes in,
It's taking up more space in your body.
And as your exhale comes out,
It's becoming longer and longer.
And just take a couple more breaths like that.
So as you continue breathing with an expanded inhale and an extended exhale without forcing anything but just using the space that's available in your body right now,
I want you to start to pay attention to your physical body a little bit more.
Now our intuition feels like something that's very not concrete.
It feels like something that is not tangible,
That it's hard to put our finger on.
But our intuition actually speaks to us directly through our body,
Through physical sensations in our body.
So it's by listening to our body that we're actually going to hear our intuition.
So as you keep breathing,
Just start to pay attention to your physical body.
And in order to pay attention to our physical body and actually feel what is happening,
We need to slow down our internal rhythm.
So as you take each new breath,
Try to slow down the rhythm of your breathing.
And again,
If anything becomes forceful,
Just relax your breath,
Come back to natural breathing again.
And our nervous system has two parts to it,
The sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system.
The sympathetic nervous system is our stress response.
And we spend most of our day in our stress response.
When we're in our stress response,
Our internal rhythm is faster.
And it's much more difficult to feel the sensations in our body.
The parasympathetic nervous system is our relaxation response.
And when that part of our nervous system is activated,
Our internal rhythm slows down.
And that is when we can truly feel what's happening in our body.
It's when we can truly hear the messages that our body is sending us.
And those messages that our body is sending us is directly related to our intuition.
So know that it takes time to move from the sympathetic nervous system into the parasympathetic nervous system.
And this is why when you start to do some breath work or some meditation or some yoga,
It takes some time to feel your body relax.
It takes some time for your breath to become easier.
So just give yourself some grace and some space to let your internal rhythm slow down as you continue to breathe.
Nice,
Expansive.
Inhales.
Long,
Extended exhales.
And if you can,
In order to help activate the parasympathetic nervous system,
You want to make your exhale longer than your inhale.
So if you can,
You can inhale and count up to four if it's comfortable.
And then as you exhale,
You can count to six.
And just pay attention to how it feels in your body as you do those breaths.
If there's space and it feels comfortable,
You can make your inhale up to four and your exhale to eight,
Making it twice as long as your inhale.
And as you begin to connect more and more to your physical body,
You're going to start to receive information in different kinds of ways.
So everyone receives intuitive information very differently.
Some people get really strong physical sensations.
Other people might hear information coming in.
Some might get an intuitive nudge to take an action to do something.
Other people will feel an emotion through their physical body.
Some people will get images and visuals.
And so let your intuition speak to you in the most natural way without forcing anything.
And this becomes something that you need to practice consistently so that your body gets used to settling into a new pattern of slowing down.
The more often you slow down,
The easier it's going to be for your intuition to speak to you.
So learning to connect your intuition is not a one stop shop.
It is a daily practice of connecting and reconnecting.
It's a daily and regular practice of slowing down,
Of tuning in.
Just like you wake up and brush your teeth every morning,
And just like you brush your teeth before going to bed every night.
Meaning that you want to become part of your daily routine.
And so the path to connecting to your intuition is through slowing down and getting still.
And the path to slowing down and getting still is through your breath,
Through slowing down the physical sensations of your body.
So that you are less in the sympathetic response,
Which is the stress response,
Which brings us into brain chemistry.
A lot of thinking,
A lot of confusion,
A lot of foggy brain.
And into the parasympathetic response,
Which is where we find stillness,
Which is where we go deep within.
And where we can truly hear the guidance from our intuition.
So I want you to take a couple more deep breaths here.
As you start to scan your body,
Beginning from your head,
And just noticing if you're feeling any kind of sensations in your head.
Sometimes it can be tightness or tension.
And then moving down through your face and neck.
Not trying to figure anything out,
But just paying attention.
Paying attention to your throat,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your tummy.
Paying attention to your hips and thighs.
Moving down to your knees and calves,
Ankles and toes.
And you might not receive any specific clear information right now.
But this is just a practice of training your body to slow down,
To go deep,
And to give your intuition the opportunity to speak to you.
When you're in brain chemistry and you're struggling to make a decision and you're confused and you're feeling foggy brain.
That's not intuition,
That's brain chemistry.
That's overactivity in the mind.
Intention is something that is very clean,
Very clear.
And we rarely doubt it,
We rarely question it.
It's almost as clear as when you're hungry and you know you want to eat.
But in a different way.
So we're going to take one more really expansive inhale,
Creating space in your body.
And one nice long exhale as you let go and relax into your posture,
Into this moment.
And keep coming back to this practice of slowing down,
Even if you can't stop for an actual meditation in your favorite place.
You can do this at your desk when you're at work,
You can do this in the car driving with your eyes open,
Just really expansive breaths,
Slowing down,
Tuning in,
Listening,
Connecting to your intuition as a practice of deep,
Deep,
Deep listening.
As if you're going deep to the bottom of the ocean where everything was very still and very quiet.
And so when you're in that depth of the ocean and everything is very still and very quiet,
The slightest movement,
You will see and feel when you slow down and go deep,
You're going to hear and feel your intuition very quickly,
Very easily.
When you're ready,
You can open up your eyes,
Move back into your day.
And I encourage you to come back to this kind of practice as often as you can.
