Begin by lying down on your back.

Your legs lay along and your arms resting at your sides.

Palms up.

Allowing your body sink into the earth,

Allowing it to support you.

Now press your head into the ground just enough to shift your shoulder blades inward and allow your heart to open up just a little bit more.

And take a couple of nice deep breaths here,

Feeling your body getting heavy,

Sinking a little bit more into the earth with each breath.

Deep breath in through your nose and a big sigh out of your mouth.

And again,

Deep breath in,

Fill your lungs even more than you did before.

And exhale and feel that release as your breath falls out of your body.

Big breath in,

Even more,

And a big sigh out.

And on your next inhale,

You're going to fill your lungs all the way up.

And when you feel that you're full,

Sip a little bit more,

Really expanding your lungs and hold for five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Big exhale,

Really allowing your body to release and sink a little bit more into the earth.

And we're going to start our breathing with an open mouth inhale,

Breathe into your lower belly and then again into your heart and exhale.

Continue breathing like this,

A continuous breath with no stopping.

Allowing your breath to go in your body in places maybe you haven't felt it before and allowing it to cleanse your body with each breath.

Letting your belly rise and your heart rise and letting it all go with each breath.

Giving yourself permission to let go and just breathe.

And begin to start feeling more connected to your heart,

More connected to yourself.

Allowing your mind to quiet and your heart to open up.

You may start feeling a little tingly in your head or in your arms.

Begin to breathe in a little bit deeper,

Just a little bit more.

Really allowing that breath to fill your belly and fill your heart,

Getting into places it's not.

When we begin doing the work,

The beginning is always the hard part.

It gets easier as we go along.

Give yourself some space to allow this breath to really nourish you and allow it to cleanse your body of the grief it's been holding on to.

You may be feeling some resistance.

I promise it gets easier.

Just keep breathing.

Keeping your breath nice and active,

No stopping.

You may notice some sensations in your body.

Maybe you're even feeling lightheaded a little.

Just keep breathing.

Begin to ask your heart,

What is it holding on to?

What lesson do I need to learn from this grief or this sadness?

Where do you feel that in your body?

Just keep breathing.

You may notice that some tears are coming up.

Your feelings are coming up,

Emotions.

Give yourself permission to release.

Give yourself permission to really feel into what your heart is telling you and allow your breath to release it.

Oftentimes we don't realize all the stuck emotion that we have in our bodies,

Especially when we're dealing with grief and sadness and loss.

It's so important to release that from ourselves on a cellular level to allow ourselves to heal and learn from our grief because holding on to it,

It only creates illness and more sadness.

Breathing your breath is a tool to release that.

It's the most powerful way that you can connect with yourself again.

Breathing as the emotions come up,

Letting yourself feel them and letting go.

Keep breathing.

You're doing great.

Begin to tune into your body just a little bit more.

Use anywhere your body feels tight or tense.

Maybe you can begin to locate the stuck energy from grief,

Buried wounds or old beliefs that your body is hanging on to.

Bringing your attention there and keep breathing.

Using your breath to move through your body and releasing your grief.

If you are feeling really stuck and emotional,

A really powerful tool is to let out a big yell.

Grab a pillow if you need to and put it over your face and just let it out.

A big yell or a roar or a scream,

Whatever feels present for you and allowing that blockage,

That energy,

The grief that you're holding on to be released.

And then coming back to your breath.

Noticing your breath is even deeper now.

Getting even more into your belly and more into your heart and really allowing to release and let go.

You may have some sadness or emotions coming up,

Allowing your breath to heal you.

To be your guide,

To soothe you.

Your breath is the most powerful tool to heal and it's all yours.

The power is all within you.

It's always been there.

Your body doesn't know what to do with that energy,

With that grief,

With the sadness.

So it acts as if it's still happening.

And by allowing your breath to heal,

You're letting your body know you're ready to let go.

If it feels good to you,

Say out loud,

I'm ready to let go of this grief.

I'm ready to listen to my heart.

I'm ready to allow my breath to heal me.

By letting go,

We release stuck emotion,

Old beliefs and buried wounds.

And we keep with us all the lessons and love learned from this grieving.

We begin to bring in balance and harmony into our soul.

Several more minutes of breathing.

You can start to ask yourself what needs to surface.

Can your heart really speaking to you?

When we release emotions from our body,

Grief and sadness,

New ones are available for us to bring in.

Ask your heart,

How do you really want to feel love,

Trust,

Sacred,

Heard,

Free?

Allow yourself to feel any truth that wants to surface.

Maybe you can feel into any beliefs or old wounds that are really holding you back and breathe into it and let it go.

You deserve to live a sacred and beautiful life.

We're just about there.

You're doing a wonderful job.

If there is any heaviness still there,

Begin to bring in a moment of bliss.

Let yourself smile.

Feeling your heart glow with rejuvenating energy.

You can let out a little giggle or maybe some laughter,

Presencing your heart with that joy and letting go of anything that still may be heavy.

In these last couple of breaths,

Begin to connect with that part of you that brought you here today.

The part of you that was ready to let go of this grief,

These old emotions and wounds that no longer serve you.

Acknowledge yourself for listening to this audio,

For taking the time to feel safe and allowing your breath to heal you.

Feeling that the truth is within you,

The healing is within you.

You got this.

Begin to come back to your natural breath,

Breathing through your nose.

Maybe give your body a little shake before we go into meditation.

You can shake your legs and your arms.

Begin to settle in now and get comfortable.

If you're a little cold,

Maybe you want to grab a blanket or a pillow for under your head.

Sinking into the earth and allowing it to support you as we go deep into meditation.

Bring your hands to your heart.

Really feeling its wisdom and power as it beats beneath your chest.

What has your heart been trying to tell you?

Really listen for the next several minutes.

Come back to feeling your heartbeat and knowing that it's always there to guide you when you need balance or healing or answers.

Everything you need is all in you.

Right here,

Right now.

Begin to wake up your body by wiggling your fingers and toes.

Nodding your head yes and no.

Bringing your arms over your head for a big body stretch.

I invite you in the next couple minutes to take out your journal and write down any thoughts that came up for you during your breath work or anything your heart had to say.

Feeling is a beautiful way of releasing all the emotions and thoughts in our head and getting them down on paper allows them to be heard.

Thank you for allowing me to guide you in your breath today.

I am in deep gratitude of your journey and it's an honor to be of service.

Sat Mam.

Iโ€™ve come back to this meditation numerous times over the past year or so. I found it originally as some grief around loss resurfaced but I have found that it works wonders around any big stuck emotions, thought grief is usually hidden in there on some level. This meditation finds a way to resurface even when I donโ€™t realize that I need it. Thank you for a beautiful practice.
