Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
This is a mantra that connects us into trust.
And by inviting ourselves into the practice of trust,
We start to feel more liberation within our lives.
Sanskrit word for liberation is moksha.
The first sound,
The first word within this mantra om,
Is the sacred primal sound of the universe.
The second word within this mantra,
Namo,
Means spiritual surrender,
To trust.
Om Namo Bhagavate,
Bhagavate,
He or she who is divine and blessed.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Vasudevaya represents the god Krishna.
Vasu is light.
Vasudevaya also represents the god Brahman,
Who is known as the creator.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Mantras are sounds or words that are sacred,
That bring us into another layer of practice,
Another layer of meditation,
And an invitation to drop in.
Mantras help us to perhaps even shift negative habits or beliefs and bring us more into a place of light,
Bringing us more into a place of truth.
The more that we can step into these practices that bring us into trust,
We start to connect deeper into our soul.
The word for soul is atman or purusha.
And the more we can start to connect with our soul,
We can start to bring our essence into fullness,
Connecting us into full embodiment.
In this audio,
I would love to bring you into the practice of this mantra together.
I invite you just to find a comfortable seat in a space that is peaceful for you,
A space perhaps that allows clarity or intuition to arise and drops you a little bit more into feeling safe.
As you take your seat,
Take in a few deep breaths,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And as you take a deep breath,
Take in a few deep breaths,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let's begin with call and response.
So you'll hear me say the first two words and then if you would like,
You can repeat.
And then I'll say the next two words and you can repeat.
And we'll just do that a few times together.
You're more than welcome to close your eyes softly or just keep a soft gaze,
A soft jishti.
You can rest your hands on your legs,
Palms facing up,
Palms facing down.
Or if you'd like to bring your hands to prayer hands,
Gently pressing your thumbs into your chest just to create a little bit of that lift,
A little bit of that expansion within the heart.
So here we go.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya Om Namo.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya Om Namo.
And just drop in for a moment.
Connecting into your breathing body,
Nothing to change,
Nothing to fix.
And just feeling the vibration,
The essence of those words,
Those sounds.
Now we'll do the mantra together.
Take your time whenever you would like to join and remember Sanskrit is a new language perhaps.
So it's just like learning a new yoga posture,
Trying something new.
It takes time and it takes practice.
So first let's just take in a deep inhalation and a deep exhalation.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Two more.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Om Namo.
Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
Just slowly start to drop into just feeling,
Noticing,
Noticing if there is vibration,
Texture,
Energy.
So this mantra is calling on the energy,
The practice,
The skill of trust.
