Today's meditation is calling on the goddess Shakti.

You could also say the energy Shakti.

Shakti represents our power or perhaps empowerment.

The energy of Shakti moves through us all.

It's within everything connecting into the wind,

Into the air,

Connecting into fire,

The majestic mountains,

Connecting into snow and into rain,

Connecting into anger,

Into joy,

Into bliss,

To ecstasy.

It's also the invitation to call on the power of feminine energy.

We all have feminine energy,

Men and women.

The invitation right now within our world is to find that balance of masculine energy,

Sometimes known as Shiva,

And also finding the feminine energy to interweave with the masculine energy,

Shakti.

Shakti is also an invitation,

Which is living in the present moment.

If we're living in the present moment,

If we're dropping into feeling and noticing,

Seeing,

Smelling,

Tasting,

This is where we can find more empowerment within ourselves individually and worldly.

When we can drop into the present moment,

Which is not always easy,

We are also connecting into full embodiment and embracing the energy that is moving through us,

Shakti,

The essence,

The bhavana.

When we feel more grounded with recognizing Shakti,

The energy that is flowing through us and beyond us,

Then we drop into trusting what is truly showing up for us within our lives.

As you start to come into a comfortable seat,

I would love to bring you into the Shakti Mudra.

You'll see the mudra on the screen,

But bring your hands into prayer hands and then gently pull your hands just slightly apart.

You're going to bring the pinkies together,

The ring fingers together,

And they'll make a little bit of a triangle.

Then fold your thumbs in and you'll wrap the middle finger and the pointer finger around the thumbs.

Then slowly and sweetly just bringing your hands,

Your Shakti Mudra into your heart space and into your chest.

As you lengthen your spine and lift your heart up into the sky,

Gently start to drop into a few deep breaths.

Just breathing in and breathing out.

Gently.

Relax.

And your breath is already Shakti.

So that Shakti is flowing through you.

As you keep this Mudra,

We're going to move through all of the senses so that we can drop into the present moment and perhaps feel where Shakti lives.

I invite you to just drop into your energy right now.

Just noticing any sensation that is rising up for you.

This is the invitation into feeling.

Noticing textures that are touching your skin.

Perhaps noticing texture below the sit bones connecting into the earth and the support of the space that's holding you right now within this journey.

And again,

Just allowing your breath to flow in and flow out.

And then I slowly want to bring you into sight.

And even though your eyes are gently closed,

I just want you to notice the light and the shadows within the space.

Perhaps how it shifts and how it changes or even perhaps how it stays the same.

Noticing any colors perhaps that are moving within the energy and within the space.

And again,

Just lengthening the spine,

Lifting your heart,

Staying connected into the Shakti mudra and gently lifting your heart,

Your chest into that mudra.

And let's drop into smell.

Just noticing the smells perhaps within the space.

Maybe they're faint.

Maybe they're strong.

Maybe it's a familiar smell or perhaps even unknown.

And then slowly just dropping into taste.

Testing life right now.

What wave are you riding,

Surfing,

Jumping into in this wild human experience?

How does it taste?

How would you even describe that?

Perhaps the taste within your mouth.

And again,

Just connecting into all the senses to drop us in into this moment.

Drawing us into the energy of Shakti.

Slowly start to draw your breath into the depth of your heart space,

Into that vastness of air.

And just noticing what is rising up with the heart space and beyond.

And can you feel beyond the labels,

Beyond the emotions,

Dropping into sensation,

Dropping into Shakti.

And then slowly.

Let's make one sound together.

The sound is ha,

H-A,

Ha,

Which is the bija mantra of the heart,

The sound of the heart,

The unstruck cord.

So connecting into a deep inhalation.

Inhaling.

Exhale.

Ha.

And let's do one more of those deep inhalation.

Exhale.

Ha.

And slowly releasing your hands to your upper thighs,

To your knees.

And just maybe even whispering to yourself,

Shakti,

Shakti,

Shakti.
