Hi everyone,
Welcome to today's meditation and welcoming you into the full moon.
So the moon is powerful the day before,
The day of the full moon,
And the day after.
So if you can do this meditation sometime today,
Just to bring your energy into the connection of the full moon's energy.
Start to connect to your breath.
So breathing in and breathing out.
Your body is the journey and it is where you begin.
It is your connection to the physical world,
Your foundation,
The home of your dance.
You are the place from which all action and understanding will arise and to which it will return.
You are the testing ground of truth.
You are the ground on which all things rest.
You are the earth from which all things grow.
You are here,
You are solid,
You are alive.
You are the point from which all things begin.
Take a moment just to feel your body.
Noticing sensitivity,
Sensations,
Noticing your skin,
Even noticing the muscles,
The bones.
And as you connect to your physical body,
No judgment,
No translation.
Are you tired?
Are you awake?
Do you feel clear?
Do you feel cloudy?
Do you feel joyful?
Do you feel frustrated?
All these questions are just opportunities to connect a little bit more into the vehicle of our body.
Maybe even feeling your heart beating.
Noticing the moisture within your mouth.
Perhaps feeling the food in your belly.
Noticing the cloth on your skin,
Your clothing.
What does it feel like?
And just start to return back to the breath.
So breathing in and breathing out.
Start to notice even the space that you are occupying.
What does the energy in that space feel like?
What is the scent?
What is the lighting?
Can you feel the lighting even with your eyes softly closed?
Allowing all the features in your face to soften.
Inviting the skull to relax.
So the front of the brain and the back of the brain.
Noticing where your mind is.
What room is your mind in?
What thoughts are attached to that room?
And then not judging,
Not translating,
But bringing it back into the breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And then how do you feel beyond the physical body?
How do you feel beyond the flesh?
Your energy,
Your essence?
Has the energy of the full moon pulled you out of feeling balanced the past few days?
Or has it really not affected you at all?
And again,
Just connecting into the breath.
Sitting tall,
Lifting the heart.
And then I just want you to start to visualize the light of the moon,
The glow of the moon.
And is it somewhere within your physical body?
Somewhere internally?
Maybe it's even right at the entranceway of one of the chakras.
Maybe it's hovering over you.
Maybe it's just really nowhere.
Maybe you're just visualizing this beautiful,
Bright full moon.
And I just want you to breathe into that visualization.
So moving your inhalation into the fullness of the full moon.
And then pouring the exhalation all the way back out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Music Part of the beauty of the moon is all of the phases of the moon.
Half moon,
Full moon,
Crescent moon.
And we also have all of these phases that we move through.
So maybe even thinking about where are you within your own moonlight?
Where are you within a phase of your life?
A transition?
Maybe a big transition?
We're always in transition.
And if you could perhaps even describe it with one feeling,
One word,
What would that be?
What does it feel like in your bones?
What does it feel like energetically?
And maybe bringing your feeling into that phase.
Or maybe it is that feeling.
Whether it's a challenging phase that you're in or a joyful phase that you're in.
So I'm just visualizing the moonlight.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Music You're going to take your fingers and you're going to interlace them so your palms are facing you.
So your palms are facing your heart and your chest.
So go ahead and interlace your fingers and then you're just going to bring the palms of your hands across your chest.
And as you sit tall or even if you're lying down you can also do this.
Lift your heart into the palms of your hands and this mudra represents trust.
So trusting whatever phase of life you are in to be curious,
To feel,
To notice,
To explore,
To breathe into it.
To connect to the light of that phase just as we bow into respect within the light of the moon.
Take in a few deep breaths here.
Breathing in and breathing out.
