Welcome to your evening coffee meditation.
Just as your morning coffee wakes you up physically,
This evening ritual is designed to wake up your karma,
To bring awareness to the good that you've done today and nourish it through reflection.
Every action plants a karmic seed in your subconscious.
Your life grows from those seeds,
And reflection is how you water them.
Before we begin,
Find a comfortable position where your body feels supported and at ease.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And exhale.
Let the noise of the day fade.
This practice was inspired by Geshe Michael Roach,
A former Tibetan monk who studied Buddhist wisdom for over 20 years before becoming a successful entrepreneur.
He credited his achievements to teachings from the Diamond Cutter Sutra,
An ancient text believed to have been spoken by the Buddha.
One of his most powerful lessons is what he calls the coffee meditation.
It's simple.
It's grounding.
Tonight,
You'll look back over your day and notice the good you did.
Moments of patience,
Compassion,
Generosity,
Or presence.
It could include a person you've chosen to help,
Or anyone you touched with kindness today.
You'll honor those moments,
Replay them in your mind,
And feel genuine appreciation for the impact you made.
That feeling,
That warmth in your chest,
Is the water.
That's what grows more good in your life.
There's no right or wrong way to do this.
Relax your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And exhale.
As you move through the silence,
Reflect on the good you did today.
Morning,
Afternoon,
And evening.
See those moments clearly.
Feel the goodness in them,
And let that feeling expand.
I'll keep time.
Welcome back.
This practice may feel simple,
But it's deeply transformative.
Every time you reflect in this way,
You strengthen your awareness,
Your compassion,
And your alignment.
You're doing more good than you realize.
Good night.
