Hello and welcome to this meditation.

I'm Jelena.

Today I'm going to guide you into the emptiness.

Emptiness doesn't equal nothingness as the name empty might suggest.

It's just the opposite.

Emptiness means endless possibilities.

Emptiness is the source of life.

It's the space where everything arises and dissolves into.

Emptiness defies description.

It is something that we have to sense,

That we have to experientially come to.

Most people have had those experiences without having the words or knowledge to explain.

And today we are going to practice to sink into the emptiness,

Which means we are going to release the control,

Allow our fears to dissolve,

Let go of self and everything that oneself carries like conditioning,

Traumas,

Views of the world,

Beliefs.

In the emptiness,

Plus and minus exist together in unity.

Everything and nothing are there at the same time.

Everything is and isn't at the same time.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable position for the meditation.

Straighten your back,

Relax your shoulders,

Soften your face and close your eyes.

Bring your attention to the present moment.

Notice the position of your body,

Space around you.

Notice your thoughts.

Are they scattered or in the present moment?

Bring all of your senses to the present moment as well.

What do you see?

Hear?

Smell?

Taste?

Touch?

Start observing your breath now.

Notice the ebb and flow of your breath.

And notice those gaps between the inhale and exhale.

Notice that empty space before you take the next breath.

Notice the fluidity of your breath,

How easily it moves through.

Notice the emptiness in your body that allows your breath to flow through.

Notice the flow of your breath.

Pay attention now to the blood running through your veins,

Heart pumping,

Blood circulating.

Notice that empty space in your body that allows your blood to flow.

Notice that empty space that allows the heart to pump.

Notice,

Or simply sense,

All the other empty spaces in your body,

Your organs,

Your cells,

And your tissues.

Bring your attention to the thoughts now.

Sometimes when we try to observe our thoughts,

It's like they go into hiding and then there's that moment of emptiness.

Sometimes the thoughts are slow and we can easily notice where one thought ends and another begins and we can feel the space in between.

Sometimes thoughts are flooding and those spaces in between are small.

But how about the space in which all the thoughts appear?

Notice that vast emptiness.

Where do the thoughts come from?

Where do they appear?

Where do they go to?

And if you drop all the thoughts,

What stays?

Feel that lightness and easiness and spaciousness of your mind.

Let go of opinions,

Beliefs,

Sensations,

Feelings.

All of that appears in the vastness of your mind.

Think into that vastness,

Into that space of possibilities.

Gently now,

Notice your body again.

Feel the space around you,

Beneath you.

Notice where you're sitting.

Feel your feet on the ground,

Hands in your lap.

Gently wiggle your toes,

Your fingers.

Stretch a little bit,

That feels comfortable.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Namaste.
