Hello and welcome to the gratitude meditation.
My name is Yelena Fu.
Before we begin,
Let's prepare for the meditation today.
Make yourself comfortable sitting or lying down.
Make sure your back is straight,
Shoulders relaxed.
Release the tension from your jaw and face.
And you may close your eyes.
Think back to the moment in your life when you felt gratitude.
Either you are grateful to life,
To a certain person,
To a certain situation,
Whatever comes to mind.
Bring that feeling of gratitude into your heart and chest.
Feel your heart and chest expand and send gratitude to your whole body.
Feel the gratitude flowing through your whole system.
Can you feel it in your smile,
In your fingertips,
In the soles of your feet?
Bring now that gratitude to your breath.
You are here today.
You are alive.
Be thankful for each breath you are taking.
Send that gratitude to your body in all its perfection and imperfection.
In all its comfort,
Discomfort and even pain,
It's this body that supports you in this life.
This body helps you to see and smell and taste and hug and kiss and run.
Send the energy of gratitude to your own skills,
Accomplishments,
Success,
Growth,
And also to some challenges,
Difficulties and problems as they are the ones that bring valuable lessons and help you grow.
Send gratitude to people who support you,
Care for you,
Love you,
Understand you,
And also to those who maybe hurt you,
Disappointed you,
Who frustrate you.
Send gratitude to this very life as it unfolds,
To all the good and all the bad that this life brings.
Send gratitude to each moment you are here,
Alive,
Well,
Breathing,
Living,
Learning,
Growing.
For the next one minute,
Keep sending gratitude as you wish.
