In this time of giving thanks,

Let us pause together.

You can let your eyes rest and come into simple stillness and quiet.

Allowing yourself a moment to relax as you are here and now.

A moment of space.

Invite yourself to let go and let be.

Choose to soften in the places you hold or contract in your body and your mind.

For this moment,

Loosen up the tight grip on anything you may be clinging to.

You don't have to work hard to be right here in this present moment.

Let go of controlling,

Guiding,

Organizing,

Of worrying and planning.

Put down any striving.

For this moment,

Let fall away the need to defend,

To prove,

To protect,

To fight.

Instead,

Let yourself receive this moment of life right here as it is.

Feel yourself breathing.

Receiving this inhale,

You are alive.

Releasing on this exhale,

You don't have to hold on.

Trusting in this process of receiving and letting go,

You can gently say,

I am alive.

I don't have to hold on.

I am alive.

I don't have to hold on.

Not grasping,

Not striving,

Not rushing,

Not fearful.

We can open and receive everything.

Feel life's true abundance.

The gifts are all around.

The gift of our senses,

Of seeing,

Hearing,

Smelling,

Tasting,

Touching,

And moving.

The abundance is ours to receive.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Feel the gifts of being here on this earth that provides for us.

It's minerals and plants and trees.

It's water.

The gifts of sunlight and rain,

Blue skies and clouds,

Mountains and forests,

Oceans,

Rivers,

And lakes.

The insects,

The animals,

And all that comes together to generate more life.

Not grasping,

Not striving,

Not rushing,

Not fearful.

We can open and receive everything.

The gifts our fellow humans helped to make possible.

Our food,

Clothing,

Shelter,

Health,

Education.

These gifts brought about by our ancestors,

Family,

Friends,

Neighbors,

Our colleagues,

Employers,

Our teachers.

People we will never know.

People who challenge us.

People who provide for us.

People who protect us and help us to heal.

All these people who,

Just like us,

Seek to be happy and to avoid suffering.

All these people who make our being here possible.

We're not separate from any of them.

We're all connected.

We all belong.

And we get to experience all of this.

The ups and downs.

And everything in between.

Present,

We recognize the gift is already here.

Now.

The gift is already here.

Right now.

We can let go of trying to get somewhere else.

We can receive and feel the joy that comes in return.

May we go through this day experiencing it as the gift it is.

May we enjoy saying silently and outwardly,

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I am enough.

This moment is enough.

This life is enough.

I am full of the richness of this living.

What gratitude.

What joy.

Wonderful! Such a lovely list of attributes of our lives to which, as we attend to them, enrich our passing through the years allotted to us. Thank you. 🙏
