Permission to pause.
Find a comfortable seat.
Allow your eyes to gently close or rest with a soft gaze.
Begin by taking a deep inhale through the nose and let it out through the mouth with a sigh.
Again inhale through the nose filling the body with the breath.
And exhale through the mouth,
Releasing deeply.
One more deep cleansing breath.
As you settle into this moment,
Allow yourself to let everything that came before it and everything that will come after to fall away.
In this moment,
Take note of the quality and temperature of the air around you and on your face.
Notice if your breath is deep or shallow,
Fast or slow,
Or something in between.
Sink in deeper by letting go of anything that might be distracting you from the preciousness of the present.
What do you notice about your body in this moment?
Notice where you feel any tension or constriction.
Breathe into that area,
Allowing it to soften.
Thank your body now for being a vessel which gives you the ability to experience this world.
What are you grateful for about your body?
Now shift your attention to your mind.
What is the quality of your thoughts?
Are they fast or slow,
Empty or full?
Take this moment to appreciate the mind for doing its beautiful work of problem solving,
Figuring things out,
And discerning what makes sense for you.
What are you grateful for about your mind?
Now shifting your attention to your heart,
What feelings are present there?
Notice how open you are to the current emotion that you are experiencing.
Breathe even more deeply,
Allowing it to soften and be exactly as it is.
Now thank your heart for being of service,
For letting you feel the richness of being human.
Your joy may show you what lights you up.
Your sadness may show you what you care for deeply.
Your anger may reveal something worth protecting.
Your frustration may show you where you want to pause.
Your tiredness may illuminate where you need to be replenished.
Allow it all.
Feel the connection between the body,
The mind,
And the heart,
Experiencing them as one.
Hold all these parts of you together in the space of your awareness.
The physicality of the body,
The intelligence of the mind,
And the emotional landscape of the heart.
From this still place,
What feeling do you want to bring into the next part of your day?
Feel it now and imagine yourself embodying it.
What would it be like to walk in the world this way?
And when ready,
Gently come back to the room.
Flutter the eyes back open and move slowly and intentionally.
Coming back to this moment and back into your day,
Bringing this feeling to life.
