So welcome to the mindfulness check-in guided meditation.

Begin by taking a posture that is both relaxed and alert.

Either sitting in a chair on the floor lying down.

Whatever works best for you.

Settling in.

Just taking a few moments and reviewing your day.

How's this day going?

Feeling the body sitting.

Seeing if we can just allow the past to be in the past.

As we aim our attention to the present time,

Breath,

Body awareness.

Breathing in.

Know that you're breathing in.

Breathing out.

Know that you're breathing out.

Relaxing into each new breath.

Observing what arises in the heart and the mind.

And allowing whatever arises to stay for a time and pass away.

As all things do.

Relax.

Observe.

And allow each breath,

Each moment.

Of course the mind will wander off.

It's not a problem.

It's just what minds do.

Think.

Plan.

Remember.

Recognizing when the attention wanders off.

And with a sense of friendliness or kindness with the mind aiming the attention back.

Present time.

This sitting breathing body.

Again and again.

Aiming the attention here.

Now.

And sustaining that attention for as long as possible.

Recognizing the thoughts and feelings move through our experience.

Pausing throughout the day.

Allowing the sound of the bell to ring through you.

Leaving you feeling relaxed and alert.

I love Jason’s voice, his familiar—like a friend—delivery, and most of all, I like all the long pauses. So many guided meditations have the guide talking the whole time. I appreciate the silence here. Thank you, Jason!
