Welcome to day 8 of Soul Sustenance.
To forgive is to let go and to surrender to life as it is right now.
Let's explore the process of letting go.
Letting go is our ability to release everything that is not right or healthy for the soul.
It means not carrying the baggage of the past into the present and the future.
It is about dropping the burden of our ignorance,
Pain from past experiences,
Attachments,
Expectations,
Ill habits,
Limiting or wrong belief systems,
Negative impressions and people's opinions.
By letting go of our old ways,
We welcome new ways of thinking,
Behaving,
Being and becoming.
Meditation and connecting with God strengthens the ability to let go.
Being aware that I am a soul and not a body or role makes it easy to live with people and possess things but not get attached to them or fear of losing them.
We play the role of a trustee so no one and nothing belongs to us.
We understand that people come into our life to live together in harmony and things in possessions are to be used with gratitude and care.
We need to let go of our wrong thoughts,
Beliefs and impressions.
When we recognize the damage they cause,
We can finish them.
If we do not let go of the pain of our past experiences with people,
Our present experiences with them will get colored by the unpleasant past.
So we interact with them each time perceiving them through the filter of their earlier behavior.
Holding on to unpleasant emotions of past situations deepens emotional wounds.
Letting go is like dropping a baggage of negative energies that had become stronger and heavier each day weighing us down.
By letting go of it,
We travel light,
Caring only what is useful.
So take a deep breath into your abdomen and let it go.
As we begin our meditation today,
Let's switch off consciousness to the body by letting go.
Focus your attention on the feet and as if there is a switch there,
Turn it off.
Now switch off connection to the legs.
Switch the abdomen region off.
Now turn off the awareness to the entire back and chest.
Switch off the connection to the shoulder and neck.
Switch all connections to the nose,
Ears and eyes.
Turn them off.
As you remain seated in the throne of the forehead.
You begin to see the light that you are.
Both bright and light.
Weightless.
Free from any burdens.
Free from any pain.
You see the pure you.
A loving,
Kind,
Compassionate,
Merciful being.
For a while,
You enter into the space of total tranquility and become immersed in the ocean of love.
This is the space of total purity.
You experience rays of supreme love filtering into your pure essence.
Allow this experience to continue.
You understand that pain is not your natural nature.
You begin to realize that others around you too are originally pure,
Loving,
Kind and peaceful.
Just like you.
The waves of the supreme love continues to pour into your soul.
We have all become separated from this natural spiritual state.
As we lost ourselves in the physical plane.
Playing our parts on the world drama stage.
We forgot.
We forgot our true identity and began to think we were something else.
This created a distance from our real self,
The soul.
This created a distance between each other.
We became trapped in the illusion of pain,
Hurt,
Guilt,
Sorrow,
Etc.
Now I understand it's all an illusion that I have been holding on to.
I let it go.
I release it.
It begins to dissolve.
The real I is pure,
Blissful,
Kind and joyful.
I stay in this pure awareness for a little while longer.
Slowly I begin to switch on the switches to all the parts within the body.
And become conscious of my physical space.
Yet feeling light and free from within.
Use this meditation whenever you feel the pain inside you begin to grow.
And release and let it go.
Om Shanti.
