Hello precious souls,
This is Janice Marie.
Thank you for being here today.
Sometimes we get caught up in thinking that there's no way to feel better.
Sometimes physical and or emotional pain can grip us into feeling paralyzed.
We do have the power to make positive changes to help ourselves.
Taking a step,
No matter how small,
Can help us dig out of the hopelessness and helplessness that we feel.
We can feel more in control and more empowered.
Taking one small step at a time can promote positive changes in feelings,
Thoughts,
And physical well-being.
Get into whatever position that feels good to you to receive these affirmations and reframes.
You can do whatever you need to do.
You can have this playing in the background.
You don't have to follow every word.
Our subconscious is good at picking up what we need.
The more you listen or visualize affirmations,
The better you will feel.
As you know,
The time to feel better is now.
So get into whatever position that works for you.
And now before we begin,
Let's take one big cleansing breath.
Today,
I will do one activity that I enjoy.
Today,
I can move comfortably and easily.
Today,
I will move my body in whatever way feels good to me.
Movement feels delicious.
Today,
I will find five things I like about myself.
Today,
I will go outdoors.
Being outdoors gives me a change of perspective.
Today,
I'll observe with curiosity and not judgment.
Today,
I will slow down my breathing and breathe into my belly.
Breathing slower and more deeply will signal my nervous system to calm down.
Today,
I will set goals for myself.
Goals create greater purpose,
Greater focus,
And increased productivity,
And a higher level of motivation.
Today,
If I'm in a situation where I'm physically constrained,
I will move whatever body part I can to its fullest.
Today,
If I'm in a position where movement is not possible,
I will actively use my mind to create something beautiful.
Today,
I will dress in colors that make me feel good.
Colors can transform my mood.
Today,
I will make a plan to take one step towards something I've been avoiding.
Taking this action will help me reduce stress,
Action release anxiety.
Today,
I will take small steps to reach for something that I have been dreaming about.
Dreaming is freeing.
Today,
I will do something colorful.
Having color in my life increases my physical and mental well-being.
Today,
I will make a plan to reach for something I have been denying myself.
Today,
I will work out in a way that I enjoy.
Exercise is empowering.
Today,
I will take one active step towards self-care.
Taking care of myself helps me to take care of others.
Today,
I will make an appointment to take a day for me,
Whatever that means to me.
It can be going to a spa,
It could be getting a massage,
A facial,
A mani-pedi.
It could be going to the gym,
Going for a hike,
Digging in the garden,
Going to the beach,
Or learning something new that interests me.
Today,
I will walk in nature.
I will find a comfortable spot and use my five senses to observe the beauty around me.
Nature is better than medication.
Nature is better than medicine.
Today,
I will use my mind creatively.
Today,
I will move my body joyfully.
Movement is invigorating.
Today,
My body and I are best friends.
Today,
I will put delicious,
Healthy foods in my body.
My body and I are best friends.
Today,
I will name 10 things that I am grateful for.
Today,
I will reach out to somebody who needs help.
Helping others feels good.
Today,
My body and I are best friends.
Today,
I will put delicious,
Healthy foods in my body.
My body and I are best friends.
Today,
I will name 10 things that I am grateful for.
Today,
I will reach out to somebody who needs help.
Helping others feels good.
Today,
I will seek out people who support me and bring me joy.
Today,
I will ask for help for a problem that I am having.
A problem shared is a problem cut in half.
Today,
I will practice gratitude for what my body is able to do.
Gratitude is grounded.
Today,
I will practice gratitude for how my body keeps me alive.
Today,
I will detach from social media for one hour.
Today,
I will practice the joy of missing out.
Today,
I will be around animals.
Animals are comforting.
Today,
I will reach out to a friend or a loved one.
Today,
I will watch something that makes me laugh.
Today,
I will smile often because it feels good.
Smiling changes the chemistry in the brain and makes me feel good.
Today,
I will think of one self-care activity that I've been procrastinating doing and make a plan towards achieving it.
Self-care builds a solid foundation.
Today,
I will sing or hum a song.
Today,
I will listen or play music.
Today,
I will practice catching negative thoughts,
Challenging the validity of these thoughts and change them to be more positive and balanced thoughts.
Negative thinking produces more stress hormones,
Which can increase discomfort.
Today,
I will address getting enough sleep.
Rest is important for my mental and physical well-being.
This is the end of our practice today.
Again,
Thank you for being with me.
I'm honored that you chose to be with me today on this journey.
And remember,
The time to feel better is now.
Namaste.
