Welcome to today's meditation,
Your midday reset and recharge.
The focus of this meditation is to recenter and find calm during your busy day.
So this is a quick restorative practice to help you take a break from your day and reconnect with your breath and body.
This meditation is designed to provide a mental and emotional reset so that you can have a calming pause and reduce stress so you can recharge your energy and get back to the day.
To start this meditation,
Get into a comfortable seated position,
Feet planted on the ground,
Sitting up nice and straight,
And just start to notice your breath.
You don't need to change the way you're breathing,
Just notice your natural breath.
What is the natural rhythm?
And notice how you're feeling.
Just take a moment to check in.
There's no right or wrong here.
Notice any emotions that might be present.
Notice any physical discomforts or tension.
And just take a moment to tune in without judgment,
Without trying to fix or change.
Just acknowledge this is where you're at right now.
This is how you're feeling right now.
And that's okay.
Start to allow your breath to deepen,
Taking some big inhales through the nose and with each exhale just allow any tension from the day to soften.
Continuing this deep breathing,
Inhale.
You might even squeeze your shoulders up by your ears and just tighten everything up for a moment.
And then exhale,
Release it all,
Let it all go.
Let's do that a couple more times.
Inhale,
Just bring everything in,
Tighten everything up,
Squeeze your muscles,
Squeeze your shoulders up.
And then exhale,
Let everything drop and let go.
One more time,
Big deep breath in through the nose,
Tightening all those muscles,
Bringing your shoulders up by the ears.
And then exhale,
Drop and let it all go.
Take this moment to reset.
Let go of any busyness.
Just bring yourself back here to the present moment.
Notice the feeling of your breath,
The expansion and the collapse of the lungs and the belly with each inhale and each exhale.
Notice the sensations in your body.
Notice the weight of your clothing against your skin.
Notice any smells or sounds in the room.
Notice any lingering taste in your mouth.
Just notice and acknowledge,
Connecting with all of your senses,
Allowing yourself to just be.
This completes our meditation.
