Begin by making yourself very comfortable.

Breathe in.

As you exhale,

Find your place of comfort.

Breathing deeply,

Muscles relax.

Allowing your breath to be just as it is.

We get stuck sometimes.

In fear.

Overwhelmed.

It's easy to forget.

The strength that we have.

The wisdom.

Inside.

Within our hearts.

Within each breath.

Feel that power.

Know.

Focus on your breath.

The feeling.

Of air.

Flowing in through your nose.

Out through your mouth.

Notice the feeling of your weight in the chair or the bed.

Your whole body is heavy.

The muscles around your eyes are letting go.

The muscles of your mouth are relaxing.

Your neck is releasing tension.

You have the power to choose where you focus your attention.

If thoughts arise,

That's okay.

Greet them with your breath.

Feel the relaxation in your body.

This feeling is the power of your focus.

Being anxious.

Forgetting to breathe.

Reacting to life is normal.

Anxiety.

Is the body-mind doing exactly what it was designed to do?

Alerting you to danger.

To perceived threat.

We can be triggered by thoughts.

By a memory.

By a feeling.

The body responds the same.

Whether the threat is real or imagined.

What if that thought wasn't true?

What would it feel like to believe a different thought?

Say these words with me.

I am strong and powerful.

The healing process has begun.

I am strong and powerful.

Each breath becomes an opportunity.

Feel these new beliefs and thoughts in your body.

Within the quiet of your breath,

Your slow exhale creates a new relationship with anxiety.

It's okay to sleep.

If your mind-body desires activity,

It's okay to rise back slowly to the sensory world.

This is magic. I’ve been struggling with insomnia and I was in the middle of the meditation thinking I don’t think I’m ever going to sleep. And the next thing I knew, I was jumping awake from falling asleep. I don’t even remember which part that happened at.

I discovered Jim just a few days ago & have been listening to some of his meditations. I absolutely love his voice and the flow of the meditation with the music (specifically the flute) in the background. Just beautiful!
