Welcome to this five-minute re-centering mindfulness meditation,
Designed to help you de-stress and find inner calm.
First,
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Allow yourself to settle in this space,
Feeling supported and at ease.
Gently close your eyes and begin to take deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you breathe,
Try not to worry about the sounds of your breath or any noises around you.
Imagine yourself as a rock in the middle of a stream.
Let the sounds and distractions flow over you,
Leaving you untouched and serene.
Now,
Bring your focus to your breath.
Think about any stress or negativity that has affected your day so far.
With each exhalation,
Visualize releasing this stress.
Breathe in and observe how you feel.
Breathe out and let the tension ease away from your mind.
Continue breathing deeply.
As you do,
Visualize that clear stream of water gently flowing over you,
Washing away any remaining stress or tension.
Feel the soothing cleansing effect as the water flows,
Leaving you refreshed and calm.
With your next few breaths,
Begin to visualize how you want the rest of your day to unfold.
Envisage achieving your goals and the feelings of success and satisfaction that come with them.
Allow your mind to create a vivid mental image of this positive outcome and let it fill you with a sense of anticipation and confidence.
Now,
Allow yourself to slowly start to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Whether you're sitting,
Lying down or even standing,
Feel the surface beneath you,
The air on your skin,
The gentle rhythm of your breath.
Whenever you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time to re-center and de-stress.
Remember,
You can return to this feeling of calm and focus anytime you need throughout the day.
Thank you for joining me in this five-minute journey of mindfulness and relaxation.
May the rest of your day be peaceful and fulfilling.
