Hello and welcome to this lucid dream initiation or flying.
This meditation will help you relax the whole body,
Preparing you to sleep deeply and take off on a beautiful lucid dream into the sky.
So prepare yourself by laying down,
Getting comfortable and take your time to find a position that makes you feel snug and held.
Maybe you have a pillow between or under your knees and you may wish to be covered in a cozy blanket.
Please stay nice and warm.
Let's take a nice deep breath.
Inhaling all the way into the belly.
Exhaling,
Letting go.
Breathing nice,
Long inhales all the way into the abdomen.
Exhaling with a gentle,
Relaxing sigh.
Inhaling and softening the pelvis,
The buttocks,
The hips,
The soles of the feet.
Exhaling,
Letting go.
Inhaling all the way into the belly and exhaling,
Softening into the bed,
Feeling the support,
Feeling held.
We'll begin with some simple somatic exercises to invite the body to rest even deeper for the journey ahead.
Moving methodically around your body,
I will ask you to contract the muscles to squeeze a particular part of your body and hold it for a short moment before relaxing completely.
Beginning with your feet,
Squeeze both of your feet,
Contracting the muscles really nice and tight.
Keep squeezing,
Hold,
Hold,
Hold and on your next exhale,
Relax them completely.
Moving up to contract your calf muscles now.
Squeezing,
Contracting the calves nice and tight and letting go with your next out breath.
Squeezing your thighs now,
Contracting the thigh muscles as tight as you can.
Holding,
Holding and with your next exhale,
Let go.
Relaxing the muscles completely.
Now squeezing your buttocks around your hips and your pelvis,
Squeezing,
Squeezing,
Holding and releasing,
Softening,
Contracting the abdomen and the torso now,
Really tight,
Squeezing the belly,
The abdomen,
Squeezing,
That's it.
Squeezing,
Holding and letting go with your next exhale.
Moving your awareness up to your chest,
Squeeze the muscles in the chest,
Contracting the muscles there nice and tight.
Squeezing,
Holding and letting go.
Relaxing up to the top of the back and the shoulders,
Contracting and squeezing the muscles here,
Shoulders nice and tight.
Holding and letting go,
Relaxing the shoulders and the top of the back.
Now the neck and the back of the head,
Squeezing the neck,
Squeezing the back of the head,
Holding,
Squeezing and letting go.
Now squeezing all the muscles in the face,
Scrunching up the face,
Squeezing nice and tight.
Holding and letting go.
Now squeezing all of the muscles in the whole body,
Squeezing the whole body,
Squeezing,
Contracting,
Holding and letting go.
Releasing,
Relaxing,
Softening.
Breathing nice,
Slow,
Refreshing breaths.
All the way into the belly.
As you breathe into the belly,
Opening the ribs with your breath and filling out the upper chest.
Exhaling with slow,
Long,
Soft out breaths.
Healing the muscles around your shoulders,
Relax further.
Let your body be heavy,
Let your body be held and supported.
The neck softening,
Forehead relaxing,
Eye sockets softening.
Continuing to breathe deep,
Refreshing breaths all the way into the lower belly.
Gently,
Slowly exhale.
Notice any subtle shifts as your muscles relax in your pelvis,
Your hips,
Your legs,
The bottoms of your feet and all of your toes.
Whenever your mind wanders,
Simply bring your awareness to your breath.
Allow your thoughts to drift all the way through and away.
Taking this sacred time for yourself to rest,
To go within.
This is your time now,
Nothing to be done,
Nothing to worry about.
Softening,
Opening and going deeper with gentle curiosity.
Notice the sensations of the body.
Is there any tension you can let go of?
Your next exhale,
Softening your jaw,
Relax the soles of the feet,
The muscles in the back,
Relaxing the forehead,
Letting go and surrendering with each long.
For this journey,
I invite you to have the following intention.
I am flying,
I am free.
I am grateful to be me.
I am flying,
I am free.
I am grateful to be me.
I am flying,
I am free.
I am grateful to be me.
Inviting you to repeat this affirmation three times silently within your heart.
Let your cells resonate with the affirmation.
I am flying,
I am free.
I am grateful to be me.
As your awareness rests with your breath,
With no need to control it,
Through rhythm of the gentle breath,
Breath breathing you as you relax into the simplicity of being breathed.
Notice how your body spreads and softens like an ice cream melting.
Feel how within this body of water,
There is a rhythm,
There is waves of respiration,
Ebbing and flowing.
Feel how awareness of the tide of your breathing can deepen awareness,
The flow of all of life.
Just as day closes into night,
And night closes into day.
Winter flows into summer,
Summer into winter.
The transitional spaces of autumn and spring relaxing into this natural rhythm of your breath.
Begin to count back from 10 to zero,
Counting on each exhalation,
Counting 10,
Nine,
And with each count and breath,
Allowing yourself to shed a layer,
To drop down a layer,
To go deeper.
Wherever you are now,
Bringing your awareness to the hollow space of your throat as I guide you to areas of the body,
Just rest your awareness here.
No need to move,
Bringing your awareness wherever I direct you.
Bringing your awareness to the tongue,
Jaw,
Sensations in the gums,
The teeth,
Lips,
Entire mouth,
Cheeks,
Cheekbones,
Ears,
Earlobes,
Nose,
And the tip of the nose,
Both nostrils,
Both eyeballs,
And the eye sockets,
Those eyelids,
Full of sensation and awareness.
Your eyebrows,
The space between the eyebrows,
Temples,
Forehead,
Top of the head,
Back of the skull,
Back of the neck,
Noticing the sensation in the whole head as one.
Feel the sensations in both shoulders,
Both upper arms,
Both elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists,
Arms of the hands,
Backs of the hands,
Thumbs,
Index fingers,
Third fingers,
Fourth fingers,
Pinky fingers,
Feeling the spaces between the fingers with your awareness,
The tips of the fingers,
Now feeling the chest and the upper back,
The ribcage,
The middle back,
Lower back,
Pelvis,
And the buttocks,
The hips,
Sensation in the thighs,
Knees,
And space just underneath the knee,
Lower legs,
Ankles,
Heels,
Soles of the feet,
Tops of the feet,
Big toes,
Second toes,
Third toes,
Four toes,
And the little toes,
Feeling the spaces between the toes,
The tips of the toes,
Now feeling the whole body at once,
The whole body,
Each individual sensation,
Melting into a mass of sensation,
Awareness of the whole body at once,
Letting awareness sink even deeper,
Feel the skin,
Go beneath the skin,
Feeling the insulating tissues,
The warm substances,
And deeper still to feel the muscles,
Letting the muscles give up the command of the body,
Permitting them to rest,
And deeper still into the bones,
And the layers inside the bones,
So the bones themselves could sigh a little bit themselves,
And deeper still to feel the soft organs,
Heart beat slowing down,
All the organs committed to rest,
Feeling the fluids and waterways in the body,
And the cells humming,
Pulsing,
And glowing,
You go deeper still and feel the energy,
The meridians behind or underneath these sensations,
Now bring your attention to a sensation of heaviness,
Welcoming the sensation of heaviness in all the parts of your body,
And bring your attention now to the sensation of lightness,
Weightlessness in your body,
Going back and forth,
Returning to the sensation of heaviness,
Feeling the effect of gravity,
Heavy,
Relaxing into heaviness,
Go back to the sensation now of weightlessness,
Lightness,
Give yourself up to lightness,
Dissolving into weightlessness,
Back to the sensation of heaviness,
Arms and legs and body heavy and sinking,
Head and torso heavy and sinking,
Back to the sensation of lightness,
Arms and legs floating,
Weightless,
Head and torso floating,
So light,
Now feeling both heavy and light,
And light simultaneously,
Now thinking,
Feeling heavy and light at once,
Heaviness and lightness dissolving into each other,
Noticing your direct experience of the body now,
Allowing yourself to rest in a state of being,
Letting go of time and space,
And identity,
Notice what remains,
Let yourself float,
Remember your affirmation,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me,
Think of a special place,
A beautiful place,
And begin now to fly there,
Sense the exhilaration and the freedom as you fly,
Pleasant breeze,
Limitless,
Seamless,
Flying to this special place,
Overflowing with radiance,
A warming glow as you fly through the sky,
Nostalgic remembering you've done this many times before,
Enjoy the sights as you fly gracefully,
Like a bird riding warm thermals,
Peacefully gliding and trusting the way,
With an inner knowing there is something intriguing to learn at your destination,
Something just for you,
Staying present with the love in your heart,
Journey onwards beyond my voice,
To a place of meaning,
With wisdom to share,
Enjoy a effortless flight as you sleep,
Radiant,
Flying,
Exhilarating,
Body asleep,
Mind awake,
Body asleep,
Mind awake,
Body asleep,
Mind awake,
Body asleep,
Mind awake,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me,
I am flying,
I am free,
I am grateful to be me.
