Give the body permission to relax,

To really relax.

Let go of any stress,

Any tightness,

Any knots in the muscles and scan the organism to see if there are any areas in which there is still some contraction and allow it to let go.

Take a few deep breaths and breathe out any stress that you feel.

Now with the in-breath,

Breathe in peace,

Serenity,

And as you relax and let go of any tension,

The breathing will naturally slow down.

In fact,

The whole metabolism of the body will slow down and you can observe it,

You can feel it.

The heartbeat will slow down and the respiration will get shallower and there'll be more space in between one out-breath and the next in-breath and the body will gradually go deeper and deeper into a state of serenity as if it is going into deep sleep,

But while you remain alert and aware and present,

But without thinking.

And as the body gets more and more relaxed,

It will even disappear.

There will be a sense of bodiless presence when there is no tension or stress left in the body.

But notice in particular if there's any knot in the stomach,

In the gut,

And give that a deeper level of permission to release.

Or if there's tension in the shoulders,

Allow it to slide off and be eliminated.

Or it might be in the forehead,

If the brow is wrinkled,

If there is some sense of thought that is burdening you.

Or it might be in the hands,

Allow the hands to open and be at peace.

Might be in the chest,

It might be around the heart,

Let that relax.

If there's anywhere from toes to the scalp,

To all the muscles of the face and of the eyes,

Let them all relax as if the body is going into very deep,

Restful sleep,

While you remain alert and aware and present,

But without thought,

Simply enjoying the serenity of being at peace in the body.

And you'll notice as the breathing slows down and the heart rate,

The brain waves will also shift into alpha,

Perhaps even theta or delta,

And that will result in very slow movements of thought until the mind also flatlines and there is a presence that is uninterrupted by emotions or memories or any kind of thinking process,

Until you are in a state of pure beingness.

And as the mind comes to a full stop in silence,

The awareness will enter a very deep state of presence,

Presence to the self.

And in the state of pure presence,

You'll feel the vibrational frequency rise and you may become aware of very deep inner energy,

Power,

Luminosity.

But don't strive or search,

Simply be aware of the core of your presence,

The observing intelligence,

And simply be as you are,

As you are in deep sleep,

Yet while awake in that state,

In a very natural way,

The presence will become disentangled from any body identification and return to your natural state that is formless,

Non-local,

Free,

Empty of thought yet filled with luminous power that carries a kind of quiet joy,

The innate happiness,

The bliss of the real.

And as you enjoy this state,

Know that it is always present,

Even when obscured by thought or by action of the body or by the attention externalizing,

This deepest inward presence is always who you are and always what knows,

This knowing that is being,

Is the real that you can abide in no matter what the state of consciousness the body moves into.

And always,

You are able to stay in touch with this source of power that supports your real being and brings vital energy to the body and brilliance to the mind and love abiding in the awareness of your being,

Even after we come back into activity and externalized awareness through the senses,

But remain abiding in the innermost compartment of your consciousness so that you can be always in peace and your heart can always remain open and filled with divine love,

Compassion,

And strength.

And so let's now gradually again become aware of the body,

Of the physical space that you're in,

Of the waking mind,

And yet remaining conscious in the depths of your being,

Of who you are.
