How To Have An Intuitively-Led Business
In episode 41 of the Biz Alchemy podcast, Jacquelyn explores the challenges many women face in creating an intuitively-led business when we exist in a mentally-focused society. She shares her business journey as an example of how you can shift away from the mental business paradigm into the intuitively-led business paradigm in which women blossom.

Let's talk today about having an intuitively led business.
Now,
Really,
Let's get down to it.
I could say that every single one of my podcast episodes is about having an intuitively led business.
I mean,
The new business paradigm is all about being in business and harnessing the power of your intuition to guide your decisions in business.
So,
You could actually go back and listen to every single episode that I've created and they're all helping you to integrate your intuition as an important part of your business paradigm.
But every woman that I speak with,
That I connect with,
As a client,
As a part of my tribe,
They all crave an intuitively led business,
But so many just don't feel confident enough in their intuitive abilities to let go of the tried and tested mind-led model.
And these are even women whose intuition is a main part of their gifts.
It's one of the main gifts that they're offering in their services.
So,
Women who are coaching or psychic,
Sharing those beautiful,
Wise gifts of the female.
And yet,
When it comes to business,
It's almost like there's no translation across of that intuitive knowing.
And this is because we are raised as true worshippers of the mind.
Our society and our education system values our mental capability above all else.
So,
It's not surprising that when we establish a business,
We turn to the mind and its capacity to draw on every piece of available data to create our business pathway.
And how do we do this?
Well,
We get on social media and we devour it.
We look,
Oh my gosh,
There's another coach to follow,
Oh,
And another,
And another,
And oh,
Look,
That channel,
Let me get on that YouTube channel and subscribe and let's consume these ways of doing things.
Oh,
There's another course.
Oh,
Great.
Oh,
Look,
Another challenge,
Another webinar.
We are just absolutely consuming all of this information.
And what happens is,
Our minds sort of go into overload.
There is so much strategy that we could implement if we followed each of these possible ways to be in business.
And then we find that we're not always discerning about what we apply.
So,
We do a new course,
Oh,
Let's apply that.
We're following someone who suggests something,
Let's apply that.
And suddenly,
You've got this mishmash of a strategy in a way that's been taken on from others and you just throw in what you can,
Waiting for the one that will work for you.
This is a mental game and this game is exhausting for women to play.
And in this process,
As I said,
You may be offering your beautiful intuitive gifts as part of your business.
But you separate yourself from those gifts because you're wanting to learn how to do business right.
You're wanting to do it the correct way.
You're wanting to get it right because you want to make money from it.
And so,
This disconnect happens between your intuition and between how to set up a business.
Now,
This isn't surprising because as I've talked about time and time again,
The business model is based on a patriarchal model,
A model of the mind,
A model that does not necessarily include intuitive knowing.
Although possibly,
Some of those very successful businesses,
There is always a level of intuition and maybe it's seen more as a bit of a maverick in the creator.
But that maverick energy is an intuitive energy that maybe can't be strategized,
But the person setting up the business has that energy.
And that's actually what has created the success of that business,
Even though many might try and replicate the strategy of that successful business.
But it's actually that intuitive component that brought it success.
So,
If you're getting caught up in this mental way of creating a business,
You're completely ignoring the beautiful gift that was bestowed upon you when you chose to incarnate as a woman.
And that gift is your intuition.
The thing is,
Intuition is not valued in our education system.
Often,
It's not valued in our homes or certainly not in society as a whole.
Think about it.
Think about being at school and imagining you're being asked a question by the teacher and they asked you to feel into the answer.
It would be like,
Think,
The word would be think,
Think about the answer and not feel into what answer is right for you.
Oh my gosh,
What a different education system it would be if we were allowed to do that.
And that would be a development of our intuition.
But no,
No,
No.
Think,
Think,
Think,
Think,
Think.
That's all we ever get.
That's what we're tested on.
And so,
By the time we finish our education,
At whatever level it is,
Our minds are just so expanded.
Our mental capabilities are really top notch,
But our intuitive voice is sort of withered beneath all that.
So if you want to create an intuitively led business,
You are overcoming all of this programming.
It's a big job.
It's a really big job.
So don't give yourself a hard time if you find that you are constantly dropping back into the mental to find the right way.
It's just a muscle that has not been exercised,
Especially in a business environment.
And it takes some time to implement an intuitively led business.
But I think you reach this point where you realize it's time to bring in your intuition.
Because maybe you're no longer in love with your business.
It's feeling like a struggle.
It's feeling like hard work.
Implementing all these different strategies isn't sort of getting you anywhere or certainly not where you want to be.
You might find you are spending so many hours doing all the things,
But really not getting the rewards for that.
You're feeling exhausted and you're thinking,
Maybe I should go back to a job.
It's not you.
It's not your business.
But it is the way you are approaching your business.
And it's the fact you are denying this amazing intuitive part of yourself that knows exactly,
Exactly what sort of business is perfect for you.
And I talked about this in episode 39,
Where I talked about your unique business path.
And what is happening in this situation is there's just way too much yang energy.
And you need to have a balance,
A harmony between the yin and the yang.
And traditional business is all yang.
And this is what's exhausting you.
When you're following your intuition,
You are plugging into the yin.
And so it's creating a balance within your business.
But if you want to have an intuitively led business,
Be sure that you value your intuition.
You must value your intuition as much as your mental abilities.
Because again,
In society,
Intuition is still not honored for what it is.
You think about people with psychic abilities,
Any abilities that are sort of beyond the 3D level that come from that intuition,
They're still considered quirky.
It's still not an integral or an integrated part of society.
It's seen as inferior to the mental.
So we're overcoming that programming too,
Overcoming what I talked about last week in episode 40 with the witch wound.
All of that is playing out here.
All of that makes us reluctant to tap into the intuitive nature of ourselves and bringing that into our business because we actually still see showing up in business from a mental strategic perspective as superior.
Even though we may not want to be thinking that,
And consciously we might go,
I don't think that,
But it's still very much ingrained in us.
It's still programmed in us.
So you have to be sure that you do really want an intuitively led business,
That you trust your intuition enough to hand it over and say,
Okay,
Show me what to do.
Show me the way for me to create my unique business path.
So I thought I would share with you my journey to create an intuitively led business.
I think it's exactly four years ago that I signed up for my first mastermind,
Worked with my first coach,
Business coach.
It was a six-month mastermind.
I've talked about this before because I've talked about how I had this insight during this mastermind of bringing my energy work into my coaching.
But when I went into that mastermind,
It was a very yang mastermind.
It really was teaching you strategy and it was all a formula and it was okay.
Week one,
This is what you do.
Week two,
This is what you do.
Week three,
This is what you do.
And interestingly,
The coach who facilitated it would still do meditations and so on throughout this.
So it had this yin component to it,
But it didn't feel like that yin component was integrated into the very yang structure of here's how you do it.
Step A,
Step B,
Step C,
Step D.
And there was a bit of a disconnect there and I didn't realize that at the time.
It's only looking back on it,
I can see that.
And it can be challenging when you're in a group program because obviously it's important that there's,
Well,
Maybe it's not important,
But very often there is a certain amount of structure,
There is a certain structure because for the group to follow.
However,
This structure is always very yang in its energy and this structure,
It does not provide you with alternatives to find your way very often.
And so for me,
It just didn't work.
It really didn't work following that structure.
And I came out of that six months.
Yes,
I had clarity to include my energy work,
But I'd set up this model that I felt disconnected from because it hadn't come from my heart.
And so I kept working away for a few months trying to use this model.
And then eventually I found my next coach.
I wasn't looking for a coach.
It was just she came across my path and started working in a group program with this coach.
Her strategy was definitely less yang.
There was a strategy there,
There was a format to follow,
But it felt like there was some more yin combined in that.
But again,
It was still a process I was working through and it was still a structure that had worked for that coach and which is very often what's happened.
And it worked for me so far.
But then I reached a point where I was wanting to create a group program and that did not quite follow the way that this coach felt business should develop at the point I was at.
But intuitively,
It felt really important for me to have a membership.
And so I ended up creating that membership.
I moved away and I found another coach who was very supportive of where I was heading at that point.
So I worked with that coach for about 14 or 15 months.
Again,
She gave me the one-on-one attention that allowed me to come up with the ideas and say,
Okay,
This is what I want to do and she would support me in how to do that.
But it was quite interesting because my business evolved and started bringing in the income that I was really hoping for.
And it was fabulous in one sense.
But in another sense,
I ended up exhausted and I ended up unwell and I really felt a pressure to keep expanding the business.
Now,
I'm not saying that came from the coach.
It maybe came from a story that I had.
But in that expansion of the business,
I was exhausting myself.
So I realized that I needed to step away from coaching because it was almost like,
Well,
If I'm paying for a coach and I'm paying quite a lot of money for a coach,
I need to keep growing my business.
And so I made the decision at the beginning of the year to step away from having a coach.
I really wanted to find my voice,
My intuitive voice.
And I think if I'd have found someone at that point that I really trusted to do that,
I may have worked with someone else.
But no one came across my path.
And so I thought,
Okay,
It's obviously up to me.
So this year,
That's what I've focused on.
I've focused on creating an intuitively led business.
I had strategy in place.
I'd spent three years using various strategies,
Doing a bit what I said at the beginning,
Following this person and that and bringing in different things and then letting stuff go.
But I really wanted to create a business that was exactly what I talk about in this podcast,
That was filled with ease,
Filled with flow,
That had a lot of space.
I didn't have that in my business.
I wanted space.
I wanted joy.
And I wanted abundance.
Interestingly,
As I've been creating more and more of these podcast episodes,
It's enabled me to implement what I'm talking about as well.
And you know what?
I really do have an intuitively led business now.
And what's beautiful about that is as soon as my mind kicks in and starts to push me down in a direction that is overriding my intuition,
I can feel it straight away.
I feel uncomfortable.
I feel a resistance.
It just doesn't bring me joy.
It doesn't light me up.
It becomes a have to,
A should.
So I stop now straight away.
I'm like,
No,
No,
Not going there.
And then finding,
Pulling back and then creating space so that my intuitive voice can come through again and guide me where I need to go.
So basically,
Letting my business be my coach and then following my intuitive voice as well this year has meant that I changed my membership to the Playground,
Bizalchemy Playground,
Which is my group program,
Which I love.
Like it really,
I developed that based around what I love to share,
The space I love to hold,
The tribe I love to have around me.
And it's less structured than the membership was.
The membership was much more structured.
I didn't want that structure.
I wanted more flow and freedom,
Which I've created in the Playground.
I stopped offering a mastermind,
A six-month mastermind.
I found that six months was,
I don't know,
Things are changing so much so fast right now.
And I just found six months was too long a commitment for myself and for the ladies.
And so that's why I'm changing now to the mentorship that I'm offering the Heart of Business,
Which is three months.
So I let go of that whole mastermind concept.
I always struggled with the name mastermind anyway.
It just didn't feel aligned with what I was offering.
As you know,
If you've been listening to me long enough,
I came off Facebook,
Which is something I wanted to do for a very long time.
And then I just let go of several business have-tos that I had.
Things like my weekly newsletter,
I made that fortnightly.
Even being stuck on the time the newsletter goes out,
You know,
It always went out at 7am.
And now I'm just like,
Ah,
Well,
If I get it done on the day,
That's great.
You know,
I've really shifted energy around that.
And I've simplified so many processes in my business.
I really want things to be done so easily.
And my beautiful VA Tricia has been unwell recently.
And it actually has given me a chance to see how many things that I ask her to do,
How they're probably a little bit more complex than they need to be.
Because when I had to do it myself,
I was like,
Oh my gosh,
I could do this so much more simply.
So I'm always being shown simpler ways to be in my business.
And as I mentioned,
I've stopped every single thing that I had resistance to doing.
And as I talked about in a recent newsletter,
Resistance is not necessarily something you got to keep pushing against because you need to overcome it.
It's not showing you that you have a block that you need to overcome.
Resistance is very often just saying to you,
There is an easier way.
You can keep pushing here if you want,
Or you can step back and find the easy way to flow around.
And that's what I'm now choosing to do in my business.
When anything feels hard,
When I find I'm putting something off,
I know it's because it's not the time to do it or it's not the way to do it.
So I step back until either the time reveals itself and I feel inspired and I just take action and it's done in record time or until something else presents itself,
Another way presents itself.
So this is an intuitively led business.
And what does this mean?
What does this look like now?
I have so much space in my week.
Really,
Business sort of just weaves in amongst the days.
It like appears and then goes and appears and goes.
Whereas I used to have very full days through the week and it really did feel like a working week and it doesn't at all anymore.
So my business weaves through my week and flows,
Which feels really beautiful.
I only show up when I want to show up and I only show up how I want to show up.
I always feel inspired when I show up,
Always.
It's always because I have something to share.
I have an insight and I'm just filled with joy and want to share that with my audience.
I have the beautiful balance of yin and yang energy.
I allow myself time to drop into my intuition,
To just have time out,
To have creative time.
And so that when I am in my yang,
It is much more effective and much more powerful.
And of course,
The most important thing,
Because it's a business,
Is I'm in abundance.
Abundance is flowing in.
And it's so interesting because even when I have weeks where abundance may not be flowing in in the form of payment,
It flows in in other ways.
And I know,
I know that even if it's not flowing in this week,
Then it will probably flow in next week because it's just like the ocean on the shore.
You know,
The waves,
They come in,
They go out,
They come in,
They go out.
And that's the abundance,
The flow of abundance in my business now.
And I am a part of that flow.
So I know that when it goes out,
I know it's going to come in again.
That is the cycle of abundance.
So I'm absolutely in love with my intuitively led business.
It is exactly what I want it to be right now.
I know it's going to keep evolving because that's who I am.
And that's what a living entity is.
And my business is a living entity.
It's evolving all the time.
But because I'm so open to my intuition and being led by my intuition in my business,
I know that when it's ready to change,
That will just come to me.
It will present itself and I will flow with those changes.
I'm willing to let go and move forward all the time.
So until next time,
Have an alchemical week in your biz.
