Community!
This is Jax,
Your habits coach and stress-releasing yoga teacher,
And I am so happy that you have taken time to really learn about your happiness hormones.
I love talking about happiness hormones,
I'm a happiness facilitator,
I love discussing these things because once you really start to hone in on the power of your hormones,
You can really start to shift your perspective and promote that positivity in your life.
Happiness hormones really have such an influence on our overall well-being,
And once you realize that these happiness hormones can be a road map for you and it can be a system to implement to really increase your happiness,
To increase those positive emotions,
And to be able to manage those negative emotions or those emotions of overwhelm or stress,
Then you really start to realize that this knowledge is a game-changer.
So we have a practice today that we are going to be doing that is going to hit on all of our happiness hormones.
So let's find out what habits gonna help you become that happy person.
We'll explore finding that habit together and activating all four happiness hormones at the same time.
So I want you to find a place where you can sit down free of distraction and gently close down the eyes if that's comfortable for you.
Relax the inner corners of your eyes,
Soften your shoulders,
And allow your breath to be steady and smooth.
Now bring the hands together and start rubbing them to create some heat.
Start creating some friction in between your hands,
Keep rubbing.
Feel that surge of oxytocin in your hands.
Rub them a little bit faster.
Rub your palms together,
Creating some energy,
Some heat.
Take a deep breath in and then exhale.
Wrap your arms around you and give yourself a big hug.
Give yourself the biggest hug,
Big old squeeze.
Squeeze the shoulders,
The biceps with your hands,
And really feel the warmth of your hands on your arms.
And allow yourself to feel that healing power of love being activated as you squeeze your arms,
Promoting that trust,
That bond,
That connection.
And with your arms around you,
Let's breathe together to boost your serotonin.
Take an exhale out the nose,
Take two deep inhales through the nose,
Open mouth exhale,
Take two inhales through the nose,
Open mouth exhale.
One more,
Two long expansive inhales,
And then exhale,
Just let it go.
Endorphins allow us to feel some pleasure,
So I want you to take a mini smile.
So begin to slowly draw your lips into a mini smile.
Notice how you might feel in this moment.
Maybe it's happy,
Relaxed,
Content,
Open.
And with each breath you take,
Feel your smile begin to grow.
Feel your smile grow to your cheeks,
To your eyes,
Until you can feel the energy of your smile in your eyes.
And keep smiling,
Keep smiling with each breath.
Feel the energy of your smile growing all while breathing,
Allowing this happy joyful smile to grow bigger and bigger on your face.
And let that energy of your smile and your face start to go into your head.
Start to feel that energy of your smile into your whole body.
Now let your smile get even bigger.
So bigger smile,
Show me your teeth,
Feel your cheeks engaged under your face.
Go into an even bigger smile,
The biggest smile you've taken all day,
Big smile.
Feel this happiness.
Take a deep breath in,
And then exhale.
Slowly and gently release the smile,
Release your arms around your body,
And bring both hands on your heart.
Take a moment to just sit in this happiness.
Allow that reward,
That dopamine,
To be your happiness,
This joy that you've just created.
In order to take action and create a habit,
We must first create the foundation of who we want to become.
So I want you to ask yourself,
What kind of person do I want to be?
What kind of person do I want to be?
Is it someone who's happy,
Healthy,
And lives with ease?
And what happiness chemical habit would allow you to become that person?
Is it meditating every day?
Is it moving your body in ways that bring you joy?
Is it creating art or writing in your journal?
What habit allows you to be that person you desire?
And we're gonna start now with a small manageable action that takes no more than two minutes to complete.
This is the key.
By completing the two-minute version of the habit that you want to do every day,
You'll make progress on your goals even when you feel unmotivated or overwhelmed.
When you do this consistently,
You create momentum and build a foundation for more significant change over time.
So what habit do you want to do regularly to boost your happy chemicals?
What habit allows you to be the person you desire?
I'm gonna give you space for two minutes to practice this habit.
There's no time like the present.
So use these next two minutes to do something that makes you feel happy,
Nourished,
And whole.
By taking actions on habits,
We can create new positive behaviors that support our goals and help us achieve the outcomes we desire.
By taking two minutes every day,
It's enough time to create a sense of accomplishment and establish a habit.
Over time,
You can gradually increase the time you spend activating your happiness chemicals by building your endurance and confidence along the way.
By first breaking down your habits into small manageable actions,
This is how you overcome resistance and build the momentum you need to make lasting change.
So I promise if you're ever struggling to build a new habit or you're feeling stuck in your progress,
Try the two minute rule.
Set a timer,
Commit to a small action,
And watch.
Watch as your habits and progress start to grow.
Let's end our session by breathing together.
Take an exhale out of the nose wherever you're at.
Take two long inhales.
Open mouth exhale.
Take the longest breaths you've taken all session.
If the eyes are closed,
Gently blink them open.
Don't put your happiness on hold.
With a little creativity and commitment,
I promise you can build your way to a happier,
Healthier,
And more productive life.

I love this meditation because there is variation! Different exercises to increase happiness horror moans. Plus a wonderful segment about actualizing your happiness goals which I used to focus on showing people Grace and compassion instead of being patient when they make mistakes. Iโll definitely return to this meditation!
