Let's go.
Oh,
Woe is me.
Woe is me.
Oh my gosh,
I'm stressed to the max.
I'm so just,
I can't take it.
I can't take it.
Maybe you are not that dramatic,
But how many of you or maybe you are?
No judgment.
I'm saying it because I've said it.
Oh my gosh,
I can't take it.
But can you take it?
A lot of times we're just stressed out and it's not really a joking matter.
I laugh at everything.
I'm laughing at myself just being crazy right now,
But we think about it.
We go on like that,
Right?
We're stressed to the max.
We're just on the verge of giving up.
We're going to talk about that.
We're going to talk about three ingredients for burnout.
So grab your smoothie,
A cup of tea and join the conversation.
Let's go.
Oh my goodness.
So about two weeks ago I did a Facebook live about,
It was called the ultimate stress recipe.
And it was an actual,
I made an actual recipe based on stress.
Now this is a recipe that you do not want to cook.
You want to throw this recipe out.
What you think about it,
I compare that to what we go through on a daily basis.
One of my old time favorite quotes and my slogan that I actually created is nutrition is more than what you eat and the weight that you carry.
This is so true because when we talk about nutrition,
We talk about recipes,
Ingredients,
Your first thought is something to eat.
You're saying,
Okay,
What is she going to cook?
What's she going to cook about stress?
What's she,
Is stress food?
Is it chocolate?
No,
We're not going,
I'm not going to give you a recipe for food,
But I'm going to give you a recipe so you will not be burned out and to recognize burnout.
So there's three ingredients for burnout.
The first ingredient for burnout is lack of sleep.
Lack of sleep,
If you constantly stay up late because you got so much to do and you're not getting enough sleep,
Eventually your body is going to crash.
Eventually you're going to start having some more stress in your body.
Anytime that we're stressed anyway,
Our body can go into a low level stress response.
And guess what,
It not only affects our mood and our sleep,
You know,
Giving us insomnia,
It also affects our weight.
It can cause your weight to shift.
It can cause your insulin levels to increase.
It can cause your body to hold on to all that weight and store more fat.
We could go on and on about that.
But it's imperative that you get sleep.
We can talk about all the ways you could do that.
I'm going to give you a remedy at the end that will help with these ingredients for burnout that will help you throw that recipe out and have more calm and less stress.
So that first way,
First recipe ingredient for burnout is lack of sleep.
The second one is no self care.
When you're going,
Going,
Going and not taking time for yourself,
You are going to just be moody.
You won't have time for other people.
You won't have time for your loved ones.
You won't have time for your spouse.
Be irritable,
Feeling overwhelmed,
Confused.
Make poor decisions.
So it's imperative to add some self care.
The third ingredient for burnout is doing too much multitasking does not work anymore.
We need to throw that hat away.
Throw that out the window.
You don't have to do all the things.
Yes,
You make a do the things.
You have all the talents.
I get it.
I'm the same way.
I like doing a lot of things,
But you don't have to do all the things right now.
You can wait.
You don't have to do everything right now.
Stop living in the world of doing too much.
So those three things are the ingredients part of the recipe,
The ultimate stress recipe,
The way to burnout is lack of sleep,
No self care in doing too much.
And guess what?
The nutritional value,
The nutritional content is very low for this recipe.
You don't want to live here long term.
It can cause a lot of things to happen in your body.
Your body is imbalanced.
It can cause dis-ease,
More stress,
More weight,
Less focus,
Memory loss.
We could go on and on and on.
So what can you do to replace this horrible recipe?
This is just horrible.
We need to throw it out.
We're not cooking it.
Throw it out.
We have ceased to cook it.
We turned the stove off.
So what can you do to not get into burnout?
You need systems in place to thrive.
This is something that may not happen overnight,
But there are things that you can do right now.
Start small.
Start with a schedule.
You can have a piece of paper,
Pen,
You can use Evernote,
You can use Evernote or your Notes app on your phone and make out a schedule.
If you have to just mark it off as you come to the next thing,
Just keep it simple.
Keep it simple until you're able to actually add something else or add more systems.
But I want you to start there.
Okay.
And just to let you know,
I have some tools that can help you stay continuously focused and have systems in place.
I will keep you updated as those things are made available to you if you need a private session.
Right now the group session is not open,
But if you need a private session,
You can feel free to send me a message at hikinichandler.
Com.
So I'm not going to just leave you hanging.
But now you're probably already stressing over your schedule.
Everything is a holistic approach.
We approach everything holistically.
Our entire role being is at stake.
We're not juggling balls here.
We're learning how to live one day at a time.
All living one day at a time.
So your nutrition encompasses your overall well-being.
You're taking care of your overall well-being.
So at this moment,
Let's just breathe.
Let's naturally breathe.
You no longer live in the state of stress.
I'm not saying that you don't have stress that comes.
But the former state that you were in before listening to this podcast,
You no longer live in that state of stress.
Today is a new day.
And as you just sit quietly and just breathe regularly,
You're just taking a pause.
We're taking a pause.
And allow yourself to feel whatever comes up,
Whether it's tension or ruminating on all the things.
Maybe you tried to make a schedule before and it just didn't work out the way you wanted it to.
We're no longer living there.
It's okay to accept that,
What comes up.
Just say thank you.
There is a better way.
Thank you.
There is a better way.
Thank you.
There is a better way.
Say this after me.
I add calm to my day.
I add calm to my day.
I add calm to my day.
Just the word calm.
You want to focus on that word calm.
And any moment when you are checking off things on your schedule.
You can just say calm.
And breathe in and breathe out.
You're releasing all the things,
All the expectations.
You're bringing in the calm.
You're releasing the expectations.
You're bringing in the calm.
This is a daily practice.
Daily practice.
I don't want to hear you don't have time.
You have time to say calm and breathe.
This is also part of your meditative lifestyle,
Your meditation lifestyle.
You're learning how to add calm.
