Transcript
An activation for finding joy.
Take a nice deep breath into your heart space,
Coming to the here and now,
Letting go of your day so far and putting aside all that is yet to come.
Being present,
Being ready to connect to your own inner joy.
And take a nice deep breath in and see that breath go up through your throat,
Through your head,
Out through your crown and going up and up and connecting in to the great central sun,
The source of who you are,
Your connection to God,
The universe,
To a source of love and light that you know and trust.
And bringing your breath and that energy with the love and light back down,
In through your crown,
Through your head,
Through your throat and chest,
Down through your torso and abdomen.
And see that light go out through your root,
Down through your legs and deep into the earth below.
Connecting at the core crystal,
The centre of the earth.
For this is where the blueprint is held.
The reminder of how life is supposed to be lived with joy,
Freedom,
Connection,
Love,
Abundance.
And today we ask the energy of joy to rejoin us.
Bringing that energy back up through the earth,
Up through your feet and legs,
The root,
Abdomen,
Torso.
And see that energy fill your heart space and radiate out from you 360 degrees all the way around you.
Really filling your space beyond your physical body,
Into your etheric bodies.
Knowing you are coming home to connecting into your soul space that holds all you honour and trust.
The all of you,
Your universal self.
And take a moment to feel the peace and relief of simply being.
I invite you to call to mind something that you regularly do that you really wish you didn't have to.
Whether it be your commute to work,
Or the groundhog day of the dishes at home,
Or a relationship issue.
Something that every time you see yourself doing it again it's like,
Oh,
It just leaves you flat.
You sort of dread it.
You know you have to go through it.
You know it's a duty.
You feel there's nothing you can avoid with it.
And just go into the feeling sensation.
Take yourself there for the moment.
And be aware of how you feel.
Let yourself really feel.
Do you feel resentful?
Do you feel frustrated?
Do you feel that there's better things you could be doing?
Do you feel yourself drifting off and thinking about other things?
Really feel the emotion,
Any anger or upset that may come up when you think of that one event or circumstance that you repeat often.
I want you to relate those energies to thinking of a really cold,
Dark,
Dismal winter's day.
The slushy ice on the road.
You've got to be careful you don't slip.
It's starting to rain.
The wind is howling.
It's dark.
And it really feels miserable winter,
Cold day.
And all you want to do is be inside,
Warming by the fire.
And appreciate how those energies relate to the circumstance of situation that you go through every day and the same feeling of being out in the cold.
So now imagine you have a really good night's rest after that dark,
Dismal evening.
And you wake up to a silence.
And there's only one thing that brings the silence and stillness and presence like this.
And you realise as you head to your window and pull back the curtains,
It is a brilliant winter's day and the snow has been falling and all around there's a thick layer of snow.
And I invite you to call in your inner child in this moment.
Or take yourself back to when you were six.
And just imagine how you felt when you opened your curtains and saw the white wonderland in front of you.
Bring that energy into your space right now.
What can you hear?
Very little,
For everything is asleep in this new world.
What can you see?
The piles of snow laying high on the branches.
Little footprints of the birds hopping across the snow,
The little robin red breast.
And everything looks like a beautiful winter scene.
And how do you feel inside?
Can you feel that energy bubbling up?
All you want to do is go rush downstairs and pull your gum boots on,
Pull your wellington boots on and wrap up warmly and run outside and feel yourself doing this right now.
And observe the smile that comes across your face.
As your mittened fingers pick up that first snow,
Crunch it into ball and you throw it hard and you see it splat on the ground.
And you are giggly and excited with the energy of the freshly laid snow all around you.
You soon hear the giggles of your friends and excitement as they come to join you.
Invite them in now.
Maybe it's your siblings,
Maybe it's your friends,
Maybe it's your parents.
Bring in those people that are ready to have fun and joy in this moment.
And maybe it's time for a snowball fight.
Or maybe it's time to build a snowman.
In this moment you do exactly what it is that you want to do to bring that joy alive from inside.
Every aspect of your body is alive.
You forget the cold.
You forget how you're feeling other than you are feeling so excited and alive and you want to explore and play and have fun and connect and simply be present.
Then listen to the laughter and feel the sensations.
And then take a moment to catch your breath.
Just stand still for a moment and observe how your inner child is feeling right now.
The feeling of joy.
The unadulterated joy of this moment.
There is no other place to be.
There is nothing else you need to do.
You're simply reveling in the fun and frivolity of being alive.
Call in the most beautiful image of a snowflake that comes to your mind and observe the beautiful patterns.
How it glistens in the sunlight.
And bring that snowflake into your heart.
And see your inner child hold that snowflake like it can stay whole and she's just holding or he's holding that snowflake and observing the beauty.
The amazement of the intricate patterns of life itself.
And in this moment anchor into that image of the snowflake the joy that you're feeling.
The aliveness.
The gratitude.
The fun.
Simply being is enough to be joyful.
And any other powerful uplifting emotions you're feeling running through your body right now.
Anchor that into the snowflake.
Now with your inner child in your heart space holding the snowflake.
Have them observe that it's starting to gently snow in your heart.
And they come alive even more as they see these beautiful snowflakes hundreds and thousands of them falling all around you.
It is never ending.
There is no shortage.
Each and every snowflake brings you more joy and connection.
Reminds you of what nature really is.
And that it's fun and safe to be in nature.
To be you.
Joyful and alive.
And as your little one skips and plays in the snow catching them on her nose.
Trying to grab them with his hands.
Playing joyfully freely.
Now take a moment with your inner child your little one.
And ask how they're enjoying themselves right now.
Enjoying.
Being in joy.
And how would it be for your little one to know that any time they wish to experience this joy and aliveness and freedom all they have to do is think of the snowflakes.
Falling gently around them.
Or holding that one special one in their hands.
And every time you look at that snowflake or call in that energy.
It once again reignites the sense of joy and freedom you're feeling right now.
And take a moment to commit to your inner child.
That when they tug on your shoulder.
On your sleeve.
And say hey we need a snowflake right now.
That you promise to call in that snowflake.
This is your promise to your inner child.
It's their job to remind you to find the joy.
And it's your job.
Your choice.
To choose it and feel it in any moment.
And take a beautiful breath into your heart space with that acceptance and knowingness.
Now recall that daily habit that's been grinding you down.
And picture yourself in that situation.
Now call in the snowflake.
Can you feel your energy stop and be present?
Can you feel the choice you have in this moment of igniting the joy even in the most mundane moments and circumstances?
Can you feel what it would be like if you knew how to call on these tools any time you chose to ignite that joy once more?
Now regard your energy and see how you feel about that commute to work or doing the dishes.
Does it feel lighter?
Can you change your energy around it and think of brighter more joyous things?
For that is the power of choice and connecting into the joy that is within you.
So take a nice deep breath into your heart space and give your inner child a big hug and make a promise to come back and play in the snow again soon.
And picture yourself making your way indoors from the snow and warming yourself by the fire as you de-layer and drink a warm mug of cocoa.
And take time to sit in the chair,
Observe the fire,
Knowing and feeling the joy is still a light in your heart.
You're no longer outside in the snow and yet the joy has not dissipated.
So take a nice deep breath and coming back to the here and now,
Leaving this magical scene and bringing your presence back to your body,
To the room and start moving your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready you can slowly open your eyes and be aware of how you feel right in this moment.
Knowing all you need to do is call in on your snowflake and ignite the joy within.
Namaste.

This immediately allowed me to find joy during an uncomfortable and sad time. I will remember holding that snowflake when I have sad feelings and recall the joy my inner child feels when she sees glistening snow out of her bedroom window.
