Namaste.

Welcome to In the Flow with Flurry Albert.

And today starts a week of gratitude.

It's gratitude week!

Oh my gosh!

So we are going to focus for our meditation.

So we're going to focus on different aspects.

And yes,

I believe that there are different aspects of gratitude.

There are different aspects,

I believe,

Right?

Okay,

So today's focus is going to be on,

I call it this,

And I think this is hysterical,

Right?

Because it kind of goes with the season.

The ghost of gratitude past.

I thought that was pretty clever.

I'm not a very clever person,

So I thought that was pretty good for me.

So anyway,

Today I want us to,

I know it's early,

But let's focus on,

Let's think way back.

What is one place,

One thing in your life that happened a long time ago that helped shape you for who you are today?

What do you think?

What do you think?

Who,

Like,

What is one thing in your life that you can be grateful for that helped shape your life as it is today?

So I'm going to give you my example because this is what sort of started this whole thing for me anyway.

So when I was in college many,

Many moons ago,

I was in a performing group and we got to go all around the country to the veterans hospitals,

The medical centers,

The,

You know,

Whatever,

Right?

And we got to perform for the veterans.

Now it wasn't just performing though that we did.

It was talking with the people in the center.

So I got to talk to you and this is amazing.

I got to talk to two veterans that had been in World War One,

World War Two,

Korea,

Vietnam,

And just not saw wartime.

That's pretty amazing,

Especially for an 18 year old kid.

So because of that experience,

I mean,

I heard stories,

Lots of stories about what these people went through.

It was mostly men,

I'll be honest,

But there were some women,

Obviously.

Some of the stories of the things that they went through to protect what we've built here in our country was absolutely amazing.

So bottom line is,

Is that I learned how to be compassionate on a level that I think a lot of 18 year olds don't quite understand,

Right?

I am so grateful for that.

That right there,

That one thing,

And I could tell you the whole story around it.

It's long and it's amazing.

Like,

You know,

I believe now that Spirit runs my life.

Wow.

Spirit was hugely,

Hugely,

What is up with my words lately?

Spirit was totally in control of my life and helped me move through different things because I was headed down not such a great road,

Right?

So that is my ghost of gratitude past.

What is yours?

You don't have to tell me or write it out,

But I think you probably know because I have a feeling that we all have one thing,

One thing in our lives from many moons ago that shaped us.

I really believe that.

I really,

Really believe that because,

And it might,

Actually,

It may not even have been that long ago for you.

It may have been just a short period of time ago,

But we learn gratitude.

That's the first thing,

Right?

That's the,

That's one aspect of gratitude.

I believe that there are multiple aspects and we're going to go through that all week long.

Aren't you happy?

Okay,

So let's get ourselves ready to meditate.

Get yourself in your chair or lay down,

However it is that feels right for you.

And when you feel comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Oh,

And let's start this day off and take a nice,

Long,

Really,

Really deep,

Deep breath in through your nose,

Out your mouth.

So let's begin.

Let that breath go deep into your body and release.

It's such an amazing feeling to take that first incredibly deep breath.

Let's do it again.

Really,

And this time as you do it,

As you're breathing in,

Let that breath go the whole way down and just envelop your entire body.

Okay,

So in through your nose,

Out your mouth.

Let's breathe in and out.

Oh,

That feels so good.

So today,

As I said,

We are focusing on gratitude.

So as we start to consider what gratitude is,

What are a few things that you are grateful for right now?

You can also think about the thing I asked you to a minute ago.

This,

The something that you're grateful for,

That you're grateful happened in your life.

But what are some things you're grateful for right now?

You might actually even be grateful for this time of hunkering down.

You might actually be grateful for that.

2020,

The year of the reset.

You might be grateful for the weather,

Your family.

Maybe you're grateful for a little bit of time away from your family.

What are you grateful for?

And next,

I'd like to ask another David G sacred question.

Who are you being when you are at your best?

When you are being your best person,

Who are you being?

What are some adjectives?

Are you being compassionate?

Are you being strong?

Whatever that looks like for you.

Who are you being when you're awesome.

Can you feel your vibration raising?

Maybe some of that put a smile on your face.

So as we are going to sit in meditation in the silence,

Our mantra for today is thank you.

This has kind of been my go-to mantra for many years.

It kind of is the one that I always go back to when I'm not sure how I want to do my meditation.

So today as we sit and we focus on our breath,

Our mantra is thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

So I will keep the time and if you get lost in the mantra,

You can just always or you start having those thoughts.

You can always just go back gently push those thoughts aside and focus on your breath and the mantra thank you.

So let's begin.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

You can release the mantra thank you.

Sitting gently with yourself.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

And say thank you.

Thank you to all of you.

Right?

So today as we go through our day,

Let's consider that thing that that one or two or six things that happened to us when we were in an early stage in our lives earlier stage in our lives that changed it that maybe changed it for you and feel that gratitude.

So thank you for joining today as always really appreciate and I thank each and every one of you.

So thank you for joining me and until next time,

Namaste everybody.
