And hello there,

Namaste.

Welcome to In the Flow with Lori Albert.

I am Lori Albert,

In case you were curious.

So I'm giggling,

Kind of,

Because of the subject that I want to talk about today.

And it's just so funny because I get asked why I am so happy all the time.

I get asked,

Why are you so happy all the time?

Well,

And you know,

I call myself a happy medium.

My husband actually gave me that term.

And you know,

The real answer is that I don't know for sure,

But I have some thoughts.

I have some ideas as to why,

Right?

And to be honest,

I am happy most of the time,

But not all the time.

There are times.

I mean,

Come on,

Nobody can be happy 24-7,

Right?

But here's my thing.

I think that the reason why I am a happy person is a combination.

I think part of it is genetic because my grandfather was the type of guy where if you were down,

And this would be anybody,

Right?

Not just his grandkids,

Right?

If you were down or sad or angry or something,

He would do anything to make you smile.

Like stand on his head and sing a song,

Kind of,

Kind of,

You know what I'm saying?

He would do anything to put a smile on your face.

And I like to think that I have sort of inherited a little bit of that.

The same thing,

But in a different way,

Right?

Because I feel like that's why I was put in this earth,

Is to help people and to help people be a little bit happier,

Right?

The other thing is that I feel like that,

You know,

I've done,

It's just inherent in me to be happy.

It's just my nature as well.

And,

You know,

I've done a lot of the seminars and the workshops and all that kind of stuff.

And I've learned that it's just easier to be happy.

I prefer it,

Right?

But here's what I want to say.

I decided a long time ago when I was young that I really just did want to be a happy person.

And I learned that that's something that I want to pass on to you guys and to the world,

Right?

So here's my Lori's happy advice.

It's not really advice.

It's just my thoughts on the subject,

Right?

Okay,

Number one,

If you're happy,

Own it.

Be happy.

Just be happy.

It's okay to be happy.

A lot of people think that they're not supposed to be happy.

I know that sounds insane,

But it's true.

A lot of people think that they're not supposed to be happy.

But you can be and you should be,

Right?

Second thing is,

And this is the fun part,

If you're not in a good mood or you're not happy,

You're having sort of one of those days,

You know,

Like we all have,

Right?

When you go out in the world and you meet people,

Pretend that you are happy.

When I'm in a not-so-great mood,

That's exactly what I do.

I'll make myself go to the grocery store or to Starbucks or somewhere,

Right?

I'll make myself go and I will force myself to smile at people and say good morning or hello.

That's what I do because if you force it just a little bit,

That nature of,

You know what,

The world is a better place when I'm happy,

Right?

So there you have it.

The world is a better place when you're happy and guess what?

It works every single time.

Works every time.

So today we are going to meditate on happiness and joy,

Of course.

And I hope that those little tips can help you find something within because it's in there waiting for it for you to bring it out.

I feel like that there's,

There's sometimes that there's tears right behind this smile but that's okay.

Smile anyway.

It's your choice.

We all have a choice as to how we're gonna be throughout the day,

Throughout our life.

So choose happy.

Okay so we are going to meditate on this today.

So everybody get yourself in that comfortable place and let your eyes gently float closed and let's take a nice deep deep breath in through your nose,

Filling up your lungs and breathe out.

Now that calms me down every time.

Just puts me in that place of peace and relaxation ready to meditate,

Right?

So let's take another deep deep breath in through your nose,

Filling up your lungs and your whole body with beautiful oxygen and breathe out.

Very good.

One of my little secrets that I like to use to bring up my vibration and then be in a happy place is gratitude.

Of course we talk about this so often,

Right?

So today what are,

I know you know what I'm gonna say,

What are three things that you are absolutely grateful for?

They can be new things,

They can be old things.

I know I say this a lot but I am so grateful for coffee.

I am.

I truly am grateful for coffee and the flavors.

I'm grateful that my mother came to visit me in spirit.

What are you grateful for?

What are those things that put a smile on your face?

Very good.

Our mantra for today is the Sanskrit word for happiness.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

But if you prefer,

You could use the affirmation,

I am happy.

If you get lost in the mantra or if it slips away and you start thinking about the grocery list that you need to get or the things you need to do today,

Just gently be gentle on yourself and bring yourself back to either of the affirmations that you choose today,

The mantra or the affirmation.

Sukkah or I am happy.

I am happy.

I will keep the time for us and let's begin.

I am happy.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

I am happy.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Sukkah.

Let's take a nice long slow deep breath in.

Breathing in happiness and joy.

And breathe out happiness to the world.

Let's do that one more time.

Breathing in joy and peace and happiness for ourselves and release that same joy and happiness to the world.

Beautiful.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

Beautiful.

Very good you guys.

So glad that you were able to join me today.

Now remember two things.

If you're happy own it.

And two,

If you're not happy pretend you are.

Alright.

Until next time I love you all.

Thank you so much for being in this community.

Thank you for all the love that I feel every day from you all.

Namaste everybody.

Have a beautiful day.
