Namaste everybody.

Welcome to In The Flow.

I'm Gloria Albert and yeah lots to talk about as there always is.

So I've been in trouble with my daughter these last couple of weeks because the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime are all doing Christmas movies.

But you know what?

I feel like that it brings down my blood pressure to do to watch the Hallmark movies.

Right?

And so I figured if Hallmark and Lifetime are going to be doing their Christmas movies then it's time.

It's time to talk about it.

It's time to talk about that this is the season of giving.

And you know what?

I was thinking too,

This really is the perfect time to talk about all that because and taking it maybe a step deeper.

Right?

But before I get into that,

Let me read to you a quote by Mother Teresa.

She was Mother Teresa then now she's St.

Teresa.

And this particular quote just brings in the spirit of compassion to me.

Right?

So this is what she says,

The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy.

It is being unwanted,

Unloved,

And uncared for.

We can cure physical diseases with medicine,

But the only cure for loneliness,

Despair,

And hopelessness is love.

There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread,

But there are many more dying for a little love.

The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty.

It is not only a poverty of loneliness,

But also of spirituality.

There's a hunger for love as there is a hunger for God.

And I'm serious,

That makes me just tear up because she's right.

She's right.

We are so and you can think of probably so many people just off the top of your head that need a little love.

I really,

Really,

I'm sorry I'm starting to get emotional.

That's like,

You know,

Gosh and you know what?

With the season right here upon us,

Right?

I love the whole Thanksgiving season.

You know,

So quick,

We were so quick to just jump over it and get to Christmas because we have to get gifts,

We have to decorate,

That this and that,

All that.

But you know what?

So many of us stop,

Need to stop and just take in the season of giving,

Thanksgiving.

First of all,

Being thankful and second of all,

Being compassionate.

You know,

Several years ago,

Our whole family got together and we came up,

You know,

We all put our funds together for Christmas and we decided not to give each other gifts and we found a family that was in need and we went to visit them.

Oh my gosh,

I'm really weepy today.

We went to visit them and we got their list of the things that the kids wanted and that they needed and all that stuff.

That is what the season's about and I'm not saying you have to go right out and find a family in need,

But that is what the season is about.

It's about giving and it doesn't have to be physical things.

It can be just your compassion.

I'm so sick of all the negativity and the,

It's your fault,

No it's your fault,

It's your fault,

No it's your fault.

And you know,

It's so easy to,

Especially right now,

Post those comments on Facebook.

It's so easy to because you're sort of behind a screen,

Right?

But it's less easy for some apparent reason to be compassionate.

So today's meditation,

That's what we are going to do.

We are going to focus on the Anahata,

Which is the heart chakra.

And today what I'd like to do is,

I'd like for you,

Well you know what,

Let's just start out.

Let's close our eyes,

Let your eyes flow close a little bit,

And let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.

Very good.

Doesn't that release the emotion of the day?

Like the not so great emotions,

Right?

So as we breathe in on this next inhalation,

Let's breathe in love and compassion,

Right?

Breathe in like you're breathing in love and compassion.

And then guess what?

Release it and release that love and compassion to the world.

Awesome.

So today I'd like for us to think of someone that you might have a grievance with.

Just someone that's maybe just irritating you just a little bit,

Or whatever that is to you.

And when you have who that person is,

Put your hand over your heart.

And today we're going to dedicate our meditation to that person.

Whoever it is that you have a slight grievance with,

We can do this.

This is how we make the world a better place.

This is the compassion that Mother Teresa was speaking about.

So when you have in your heart that person,

Let's first,

Let's first say,

I love you.

Might be difficult.

Might be very difficult because if this person has really,

Really irritated you or you have a serious grievance with that person,

It might be difficult to do.

But guess what?

If you do it,

If you say it,

Even if you don't necessarily feel it deep down in your bones,

The act of saying I love you softens the entire emotion around that person.

And as we focus on our heart chakra,

Let's put some focus on there.

It is a green color,

So if you think about your heart and just imagine that beautiful green,

That emerald green color,

Emanating from your heart chakra,

Kind of like in the Grinch Stole Christmas,

When you see the heart getting larger,

Just imagine that beautiful green color emanating from your heart and out to the world and out to that person.

Now as we meditate on this beautiful way to start the holiday season and we meditate on love and compassion,

Our mantra today is YAM and that is sort of the sound that goes with the heart chakra.

YAM.

YAM.

So as we sit in the silence and focus on our heart chakra,

You don't have to focus on the person anymore,

You just focus on your heart chakra and allowing that green beautiful love to emanate from you.

Our mantra is YAM.

I will keep the time for us and let's begin.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

YAM.

Start bringing our awareness back.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.

Absolutely beautiful.

You can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.

Gorgeous.

Beautiful.

We just started our own green wave.

Wave of love,

Wave of compassion.

So I wish you all so much love today.

Thank you for joining me as always and namaste everybody.
