Namaste everybody.
Welcome to In the Flow with Flurry Albert.
So my question today,
Always a question,
Right?
When people talk,
Do you actually listen?
Do you actually like really listen to what they're saying?
You wouldn't be alone if you said,
Well,
If I'm being honest sometimes,
You know,
No,
Right?
I mean you have to be honest with yourself.
That's one of those internal questions that that we have to be honest with ourselves about,
I think,
Right?
But here's the thing.
I was hit kind of smack in the face with this and you know I'm always,
If I'm nothing else in the world,
I'm about learning lessons,
Right?
So I'm always looking for the lesson in pretty much anything and that's just kind of how I roll,
Right?
And so let me tell you the story.
A few days ago,
I was in a conversation,
For lack of a better way to describe it,
With somebody on Facebook and I'm not gonna tell you the whole story because that's not appropriate,
You know,
Because I try to keep everything out of this,
Right?
And I was coming from a place of like education and we need to look at all sides,
Blah blah blah,
All of that stuff,
Right?
And this guy just railed on me,
Like railed on me and I got really offended and I ended the conversation and because I want conversation.
I want people to talk.
I want us to get along.
Oh my gosh,
Call me naive,
Whatever,
But I just feel like that we can we can all get along.
I want us all to get along,
Right?
The whole world.
So I stopped the conversation.
I came to find out later that in this particular circumstance,
I mean he was railing on me like,
What do you think about this?
What do you think?
And I was like,
Whoa,
Okay,
You know?
And I realized later,
I found out later that his whole life had been affected by this particular circumstance and I didn't know that,
Right?
Now here's where the lesson comes.
The lesson for me came in that we are all so especially now and especially on Facebook,
Right?
We are also of the mind of,
I got to get my point across,
I got to get my point across,
That we're not listening to each other.
Imagine a world,
Bear with me here,
Imagine a world where we looked at each other and actually really heard the other person that was speaking.
I mean would that not be like huge?
Obviously it would,
You know?
And I remember,
I went to a seminar many years ago and one of the things,
The many aspects of the seminar like just like,
You know,
It was like mind-blowing,
Right?
Parts of it.
And the one part that really sticks out for me right now in this particular circumstance is taking my own 100% of the responsibility,
Right?
So for my part,
I was not really paying attention.
I was reading the words or in any other case you might be hearing the words,
But are we really paying attention?
So I'm taking right now my 100% of the responsibility and interestingly the way,
And I'm kind of botching the way in the way that they talked about it,
But the reality is that if we all took our own 100% of the responsibility for whatever the situation is,
Imagine what our world could be like.
Instead of blaming somebody else or instead of trying to talk over them or instead of trying to instead of trying to just be right.
We all we really want as it's like a human nature is we just want to be heard.
Don't you think?
We just want to be heard and that's part of the whole thing.
We just want to be heard and that's like breaks my heart that I was part of that.
That I wasn't being my best self.
I wasn't being my best self in that conversation because I go to the place of well I need to educate these people because they're not listening.
Seriously,
I swear to God that's what I think,
Right?
So at any rate that was my big takeaway,
My big lesson and you know I'm nothing if I don't bring my whole life to this forum that I've got here.
And you know meditation really helps in that because it allows your brain to just relax in that moment and take in the truth and take in and just calm down,
Right?
So yeah so I'm taking my 100% of the responsibility and let's meditate on this,
Shall we?
Right?
Oh my god.
But you know if I had one wish for the whole world and I mean this from the bottom of my heart.
If I had one wish for the whole world it would be that you,
You,
Whoever's listening,
Watching,
Whatever,
Felt truly heard.
That's my one wish for the planet.
Imagine if we could all feel heard.
Imagine how much lighter we would all feel.
So let's get meditating.
Alright so get yourself comfy.
Okay so today I am sitting cross-legged as long as my arthritis allows me to do that.
Right?
So okay so get yourself comfortable however that looks for you.
Put your hands on your lap and let's do palms up today so that the energy can just flow through our palms and into the rest of our being.
Okay so let's close our eyes.
Let's take a nice deep deep breath in and release it.
Awesome.
Very good.
Let's do that again.
Take a nice deep breath in and release.
So what are you grateful for today?
What is going well in your life today?
What feels good?
What feels like it's right?
And then our next question.
Who are you being when you are your best self?
Are you being a good listener?
Are you being compassionate?
Empathetic?
Are you filled with love?
Do you feel the love?
This beautifully raises our vibration.
Our mantra for today.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Perfection of mind,
Speech,
And heart.
Om Ah Hum.
Start repeating that over and over and it will become part of you.
Om Ah Hum.
So as we repeat this we'll sit in the silence.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Om Ah Hum.
Start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
And release.
You can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.
And know that today,
Today is perfection.
We are focusing on perfection of mind,
Speech,
And heart.
So as you are talking today to someone,
Consider listening.
I love that.
That's my goal.
That's my challenge for today.
So thank you so much for listening.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste everybody.
Have a beautiful day.
