Welcome to We Are Home,
The podcast.
Hi I'm Fimo.
Let's meditate.
Find in a comfortable position.
Allow your eyes to close and place your attention on your breath,
Your natural breath.
Maybe noticing wherever you sense your breath the most.
That might be at the rim of your nostrils or in your chest or maybe in your belly.
See can you rest your attention,
Your awareness in that area where you notice your breath the most.
So that if ever your mind drags your attention somewhere into the future or the past,
You can always come back to your anchor,
To your breath.
Accept it.
You You You You You Continue to Observe your breath just as it is Without forcing anything Without wanting anything to be different from the way it is in this moment You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You You The more he read about the practice,
The more he was convinced that he needed to use it with his son.
Kumusabra Kokal,
A Hawaiian historian,
Educator,
And activist says,
Ho'oponopono means to make right and to put things back in balance again.
Healer Morna Nalamaku-Simiola is believed to be the first person to teach the practice in small and large groups.
Morna even shared the practice in hospitals and colleges.
She also created the Self-Identity Through Ho'oponopono Foundation in order to promote the principles of ho'oponopono around the world.
The main purpose of this process is to discover the divinity within oneself.
Ho'oponopono is a profound gift which allows one to develop a working relationship with the divinity within and learn to ask that in each moment,
Our errors in thought,
Word,
Deed,
Or action be cleansed.
The process is essentially about freedom,
Complete freedom from the past,
Morna once said in an interview.
The practice has four steps.
Step 1.
Repentance.
Just say,
I'm sorry.
Step 2.
Ask for forgiveness.
Say,
Please forgive me.
Step 3.
Gratitude.
Say,
Thank you.
Step 4.
Love.
Say,
I love you.
Dr.
Ihali Akala-Hulen,
Who was Morna's most avid student,
Is said to have cured every patient in the criminally insane word of a Hawaii State Hospital without ever seeing a single patient.
That's right,
According to hospital records,
All he did was read each patient's file and practice ho'oponopono daily.
Dr.
Ihali Akala-Hulen was addressing that aspect of his consciousness that he shared with a mentally ill patient.
The fact that this person was in his experience meant that they shared a part of the same universal consciousness.
So,
If this other person was suffering,
This meant a part of him was also suffering and needed healing.
Now you might be thinking,
Wait a minute,
How can this be possible?
I mean,
I was thinking the same thing.
It sounded like an urban legend to me.
Well,
One ho'oponopono practitioner put it this way.
The New Age ideas of creating your own reality take on a whole new level of responsibility with ho'oponopono.
If you do subscribe to the belief that you do create your own reality,
Then it is no secret that there is no such thing as out there.
Everything happening to you right now,
In every moment,
Is happening in your own mind.
Everything you see,
Everything you hear,
Every person you meet is not out there.
It's happening in your own mind and shaded with all of our perceptions,
Fears,
Beliefs about that experience.
This week,
Try ho'oponopono with yourself and see what happens.
When you feel ready,
You might want to bring the practice into a relationship that needs some mending.
Remember,
The more you can heal out of your own judgements,
Angers,
Fears,
And resentments,
And fill yourself with love and peace,
Or peace and love,
The more the world around you will be healed and filled with love and peace.
I'd like to end today's episode with a positive affirmation that you can repeat with your full voice or quietly to yourself.
I accept myself just as I am.
I accept myself just as I am.
Thank you for being here.
See you next time.
