Hey and welcome to this Letting Go Meditation.
I'm Isaiah Bell.
This is a meditation that you can use to align with the autumn tree's energy and allow for easy letting go of the things in your life that are not helping you,
That have now become useless,
Heavy or outdated.
Make yourself comfortable,
Sitting,
Lying down,
Preferably with your feet on the ground,
Uncrossing your arms and legs.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
Take the time to find the position that will allow your whole body and mind to relax.
Start by inhaling deeply and slowly through your nose,
Bringing the air deep into your belly and letting it swell.
Exhale now through the mouth,
Slowly and deeply,
Letting the air flow and entering into relaxation.
Breathe in.
Imagine that the fresh air completely fills your body,
From the top of your head to your toes and to the tips of your fingers.
And breathe out.
Imagine letting go of everything you don't need,
All the debris that clutters you.
Breathe in through your nose.
Fill your stomach and chest with air.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Pay attention to your legs and relax along your thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
Ankles,
Feet,
Toes.
Breathe in,
Slowly and deeply.
Breathe out.
Note your back,
Your neck,
Your spine.
Let your back stretch and your shoulders drop.
Relax your muscles,
The weight goes off and your body softens.
Breathe in through your nose,
Slowly and deeply.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Relax your bust,
Your chest,
Your stomach.
Inhale.
Exhale and relax the muscle of your shoulders,
Arms,
Elbows,
Wrists,
Hands and fingers.
Breathe in through your nose.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Feel the relaxation in your head,
Your face,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your nose,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your ears,
Your skull,
Your hair.
Breathe in.
The air completely renews you.
All parts of your body are now filled with fresh and delicious energy.
Breathe out.
The air that comes out removes all the tensions,
All the worries and all the unwanted thoughts.
You now feel calm and relaxed.
Breathe in slowly.
Breathe in deeply.
And with each breath you move further towards the calm center of yourself and deep relaxation settles throughout your mind and body.
Welcome this well-being and relax even more.
Visualize now roots growing below your feet and around your legs,
Also starting from your tailbone.
Beautiful,
Powerful roots that go deep into Mother Earth that allow you to feel grounded.
They hold you in place and grow through the soil and the different layers of the earth and descend towards the center of the planet.
They keep you firmly anchored,
Rooted and secure.
Your roots continue to grow even deeper until finally reaching the heart of the planet.
You feel when you have reached the center of Gaia,
Of Mother Earth,
Because you feel bathed in a flow of unconditional love.
All the love that the earth has for you.
This energy,
This love that now comes back up through your roots,
Slowly rising to fill your whole being,
Your whole body.
This warmth,
This amber-coppery colored light that is the earth's love for you fills your body,
Starting with the feet and working its way up your legs,
Your spine,
Through your arms and hands,
Then moving up towards your head,
Completely encompassing every cell in your body.
And you feel an immense sense of security,
Of trust.
You feel strong,
Loved,
Centered,
Full of a sense of belonging,
Because you know that you have your place here,
On this earth,
In this universe.
I invite you now to use these grounding roots to let go of the thoughts,
Emotions and energies that are not important in this moment,
That are from the past or about the future,
And also to let go of the energies,
Emotions,
Thoughts,
Opinions of other people.
If there are still things from other people in your energy field,
You can just allow them to flow out of you,
Out of your field,
Into the earth,
For your grounding.
I invite you now to go into the quiet center inside yourself and visualize your body as if it was a tree.
You are a tree,
Standing tall with many,
Many beautiful leaves at the top of each of your branches,
And the leaves have all colors of the fall season.
The tree that you are is gorgeous and solid,
Alive and resplendent in the sunset light.
You can feel the strength and the vitality of your tree,
As well as its tenacious desire to let go of its burdens,
Of the useless strains and heavy loads that prevent it to feel free and to enter the winter season stripped and bare,
Which is the only way it will regenerate and be able to be reborn in the spring.
The leaves of your tree are yellow,
Golden,
Ochre,
Orange,
Deep brown,
And they are all ready to fall,
Barely hanging to their branches.
I invite you now to visualize any heavy emotion or sensation that you feel,
Any outdated belief,
Any cumbersome debris as one of these leaves.
Every emotion is a leaf,
And every leaf is an emotion.
Every burden is a leaf,
And every leaf is a burden.
Slowly,
Slowly you see the leaves starting to fall.
You feel the leaves falling.
Each heavy emotion,
Each outdated burden is resting on a leaf that is now falling from your tree,
And more and more leaves begin to fall.
You can't even name or understand each heavy emotion or sensation,
Each useless and obsolete issue or value.
You catch a glimpse of a few,
Some anger here,
Some sadness there.
They are falling quietly,
Quietly falling on the ground.
You don't need to do anything,
To decide anything,
To understand anything.
They are ready to fall,
And they fall,
Off you,
Slowly,
Quietly,
In the majestic sunset light.
Allow your breath to be relaxed and deep,
And continue to visualize any heavy emotions,
Values,
Beliefs,
And sensations,
Leaving your body in the form of bright yellow and orange autumn leaves.
I invite you to choose to not be attached to any of these emotions.
Each of them leaves you now,
And the only thing you feel is relief.
Relief for shame,
Falling on a leaf.
Relief for guilt,
Falling.
Relief for the heavy sensation in your heart,
Now falling off you.
Anything that feels heavy,
Obsolete,
Useless,
Outdated,
You let go with a leaf.
I also invite you to appreciate how,
In the act of letting them go,
You allow for each of them to provide nourishment,
Just as leaves would do after they've fallen and decomposed.
And you let go of more and more leaves,
Until you're almost a bare tree,
And only good,
Happy,
And light emotions and sensations are flowing in your sap,
Ready to enter the dark winter cave of death and rebirth,
Ready to be reborn,
New,
Fresh,
Enlightened,
And joyful.
It is soon time to slowly,
Gradually return to your usual state of mindfulness,
And you gently feel drawn back to the here and now.
As we finish this meditation,
Take a deep breath and,
When you feel ready,
Allow yourself to come back slowly into the room.
Feel the texture of the clothes on your skin,
The weight of your body on the chair or bed.
Back in your space,
You become aware of the sounds around you,
And you start to move your body.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Stretch out if it's good for you.
When you feel it,
Gently open your eyes,
Smile,
And go peacefully into the world to create and experience joy and gratitude.
Don't forget to drink to ground the energy,
And if you wish,
Eat something to anchor the energy in your body right now.
I hope you have enjoyed this meditation,
And I thank you for listening.
