Hello and welcome to Intuition Awakening.

My name is Janine and welcome to the third part in my Inner Child Healing Series.

These meditations are designed to help us further connect with our inner child and today we'll be going a little bit deeper,

A little bit closer,

Connecting a little bit more.

So to start with,

As always,

Make yourself comfortable in a seated position,

Whether this is with your legs crossed on the floor or sitting firmly in a chair,

Feet planted,

Back nice and tall,

Shoulders relaxed.

Let's start by gently closing our eyes and taking three deep breaths together.

Inhaling for four through the nose and exhaling for six out your mouth.

Once again,

Inhaling for four,

Exhaling for six,

Inhaling for four,

Exhaling for six.

Wonderful.

I'd like you to bring awareness now to your body,

Gently scanning your awareness from your feet,

Up your legs,

Up to your knees,

Your hips,

Your abdomen,

Your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your neck,

And to the top of your head.

I want you to bring awareness to any remaining areas of tension in your body right now.

Focus in on this spot.

Take a deep breath in and tense the muscles,

Tense them up as tight as you can,

And on the exhale,

Release those muscles.

Let them relax.

Once more,

Inhaling,

Tensing your muscles,

And exhale,

Let them relax.

Wonderful.

If you have another area of your body that needs a few moments of awareness and breath,

Spend the time with it right now,

Bringing awareness,

Bringing your focus,

Inhaling deeply,

Tensing any part of your body that needs relaxation,

And exhale,

Releasing that tension,

Inhaling,

Tensing those muscles,

Exhaling,

Release the tension.

Now with our eyes closed,

Our body relaxed,

Our posture alert but comfortable,

We will begin our visualization by once more returning to that city sidewalk,

Noticing the sunshine,

The gentle breeze on this beautiful day.

As you walk down this sidewalk on the now familiar pathway to the park,

Notice the sidewalk beneath you.

Is it made of concrete or brick?

Are there lines or cracks every so often?

Is there perhaps any greenage,

Any vegetation or plants trying to poke its way through the sidewalk?

Just noticing the little things on this beautiful city sidewalk as you gently walk towards the park,

Where you will reconnect with your inner child once more today.

As always,

On your left the park suddenly appears,

This beautiful oasis in the city.

You take that first step,

Planting your left foot down on the grass,

Feeling the cool breeze rustling through the trees and the leaves in this beautiful park space.

You start to wander through the park,

Down your usual path back to the playground,

Feeling the weight of a backpack on your shoulders today,

Feeling its contents gently swaying side to side as you plant one foot in front of the other,

Slowly making your way to the playground equipment.

As you notice the playground equipment coming into sight once more,

You hear the laughter and the excitement of the children playing on the equipment.

As you sit down in a beautiful space on the lawn,

Perhaps under a tree or in the sunshine,

You bend over to remove your backpack and remove the blanket you brought today from your pack.

Spreading it down on the grass,

You start to unpack the rest of the backpack.

Perhaps you've brought snacks or a book,

Maybe some music,

Some water,

But most importantly,

Today you brought a game with you.

A game to play with your inner child.

This could be a card game you wanted to teach them,

Maybe one of your favorite board games growing up.

Maybe it was something you played with your grandparents or your parents or siblings,

Something that brings back fond memories.

As you take this game out and set it on the blanket beside you,

You look up and start to try to find your inner child playing on this playground today.

You've become familiar with their appearance,

The sound of their laughter,

Their eyes and their smile that bring you so much happiness.

And there they are,

Coming around the corner playing with one of their friends.

You notice them and they notice you.

They flash a large smile and wave and continue to play with their friend for a while longer.

You know that connecting with them might take time and today you wanted to bring a little bit of joy to their day as well.

They bring you so much happiness and this is an experience you would like to share with them.

You can tell your inner child is getting a little tired and ready to stop running around and you beckon them over as they slowly cross across the sand beneath this playground equipment as they make their way over to you across the grass and they stop near your blanket and say hello.

You greet them as well and invite them to join you to learn a game.

You ask them if this is something they would like to do with you today and their childlike innocence immediately says yes.

Teach me,

Teach me and they run over to your blanket.

Make themselves comfortable and they might even start grabbing at the game or your snacks or your backpack just exploring with that youthful exuberance that we all have as children.

They know they can trust you wholly and completely.

They might not know why yet or understand the significance of this relationship and that's okay.

They are after all children.

As you try to get your inner child's attention you begin to explain the concept of this game to them now and you spend the next minute showing them how to play noticing how their laughter,

Their smile and just their general curiosity makes you so happy.

Your inner child begins to focus and understand the game or perhaps they're a little distracted today and they just want to talk.

Whatever your inner child is up for today,

Honor that.

Accept their presence however they are and let them know it's okay to continue playing the game or to just sit and chat,

To have snacks,

Whatever they want to do.

You are just happy and thankful to be seeing them,

To be spending time together and you can stay here in this moment with them as long as you desire now.

Thank you for joining me today.

Take your time with your inner child.

Spend the next five minutes or as long as you desire with them.

I will let the music continue to play and whenever you are ready you can gently open your eyes,

Wiggle your fingers and toes and come back to your day.

Don't forget to thank your inner child for spending this time together today.

They love you,

They appreciate you and they can't wait to visit with you again.
