This is a calming and grounding movement (walking or rolling) invitation that can be done solo or in a group. The beginning portion supports various "group" options (in-person, energetic invitation, and created life/elements in natural world). This is made to serve as an initial centering, breathing and early movement practice to support a longer meditative walk/roll. Breathing and mindfulness themes focus on worthiness, connection, trees, and more.

Greetings,

Peace,

And welcome.

My name is Jonathan Stalls,

Walking artist with intrinsic paths.

Grateful you are here with all your unique parts and pieces,

Everything on the inside,

Everything that surrounds you as you are as it is.

I'm recording this meditative movement invitation from a public park,

And so you will hear the sounds of cars,

Airplanes,

Birds,

Gravel,

Branches.

You'll hear the sound of the wind moving through the microphone.

I invite you to welcome and be with all the sounds and all the life that surrounds you where you are as you listen.

This invitation is open and inclusive to all forms of unhurried movement,

Whether by foot or on a powered scooter or wheelchair.

This is also an invitation that leans to collective movement.

This could be a physical group,

A small group of people with you as you breathe and move and rest and open together.

This could be you moving with and inviting trees and water and birds and all other life forms as your collective to move with you.

This could be you moving with people that aren't with you physically but are with you in other dimensions,

People you invite,

Peers,

Friends,

Loved ones.

Be open,

No rules.

So before we begin,

I invite your group to make your way towards or under a nearby tree,

And if you're not close to a tree,

I invite you at least to pause and look to the trees for a few moments as peers,

As teachers,

Our mutual breathing life partners in this life alongside this journey.

And as your group forms and circles near the tree or with the trees,

I invite you to just connect to your feet or if you're on a wheelchair to the weight of your body as it relates to the earth,

To the soil,

To the ground underneath.

You might sway with your body a little bit to feel the ground,

But we're just checking in.

We're checking in with our bodies.

We're checking in with how our bodies connect to the earth.

You might do some light stretching,

Tilting your neck,

Rolling your shoulders,

Rolling your ankles,

And if you feel called to do more of this,

I invite you to pause the meditation to give this,

To give into this for a few more minutes to stretch,

To connect with soil,

With earth.

After a few moments of connecting to the earth with your feet,

With your body,

I invite the group to move into some deep breathing,

Honoring breath and life and existence and worthiness,

And specifically inviting connection to the trees,

Trees that receive our exhales,

Trees that help provide our inhale,

Keeping our blood and hearts and neurons moving.

And so as a group,

I invite us to take a deep breath together all the way in,

Opening our lungs,

Opening our hearts deeply in,

Slowly out.

Let's do another deep breath deeply in and slowly out.

And with this next inhale,

Let's invite nourishment to move deeply in,

The nourishment of trees,

Of earth,

Of sky,

Of stream,

The natural elements,

All the wonder,

All the gifts.

We breathe nourishment deeply in and slowly out.

For this next breath,

I invite us to breathe in worthiness,

That we are worthy,

That I am worthy,

I as an individual,

We as a collective,

As a group,

You as peer,

Friend,

Connection next to me,

To my left,

To my right,

That we are worthy as we are.

So as your group rests in a circle,

Breathing deeply together,

Let's breathe in worthiness,

That I am worthy,

We are worthy,

You are worthy as you are,

As we are,

As I am,

Because I breathe,

Because I am here,

Because I am alive,

Because I exist.

So let's breathe in that we are worthy of love,

Of goodness,

Of beauty,

Of gifts,

Of feeling seen,

Of all the things that I am worthy,

You are worthy,

We are worthy as we are.

Let's breathe that in deeply in and slowly out.

Let's do that again.

I am worthy deeply in and slowly out.

And so from here,

I invite the collective to slowly begin moving,

Just to be slowly moving.

I invite extra unhurried movement,

And that your group may start to drift a little bit away from the circle,

But just for these first steps,

I invite you to be close together.

That as you slowly move,

You're connecting again with your body,

The miracle of your body,

The miracle of breath,

The miracle of breath in one another,

In each other,

That there's something profound and beautiful and simple in being alongside of each other,

Shoulder to shoulder,

Heart to heart,

All the unique experiences that each of us carry,

The hard,

The heavy,

The stressful,

The joy,

The dreams,

The celebrations,

And everything in between,

That we move with all these experiences,

Making us who we are.

And that as we move,

We also look to and invite the wisdom of the natural world.

We invite love,

Unconditional love,

Moving through trees and sun and water,

Moving between us and in us,

Unconditional love,

That we are worthy as we are,

Because we breathe,

Because we are here in the midst of the hard,

In the heavy,

In the midst of the confusing,

In the midst of all the unknowns,

That we are worthy because we breathe,

Because we move,

Because we are here.

So I invite you just to continue giving in and releasing any thoughts,

Any hardship,

Any stress,

Just releasing it,

Releasing it.

We're not trying to solve anything,

We're not trying to fix anything,

Just releasing to our movement that we are a moving,

Breathing,

Divine being,

That those who are next to me are moving,

Breathing,

Divine beings.

We honor our existence,

We honor their existence,

We invite and honor the wisdom and gifts of the natural world.

All of these radical,

Wonderful,

Relational participants around us,

All that moves and aches within us.

And so I invite you as you continue your movement together or separate or together,

Separate,

Then back together,

However it flows,

I invite you to continue returning to your breath,

To pause and return to your breath as a way of reconnecting with your ground,

With worthiness,

With beauty,

With wonder.

I invite the collective to slowly pause and have a slow,

Deep breath together as we close the guided portion of this invitation.

So let's take a deep breath,

Deeply in,

Honoring all that we are as we are in this moment.

Deeply in and slowly out.

Let's do one more together.

Deeply in,

Honoring all that we are as we are,

And slowly out.

I invite you to go with peace and openness and spaciousness and unhurried steps,

Breaths,

Movement,

Inviting the wisdom of the trees and the birds in the sky,

Inviting all the spaces between you and others in your collective to move with you next to each other,

To move with you forward and together,

To move with you under a big open sky.

Peace and health to each of you,

To each of us.

Peace.
