Welcome to this meditation rooted in compassion and love for yourself.
To begin,
Find a comfortable way for your body to rest.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale out of your mouth.
If it feels good,
Place both hands on top of your heart.
Slow your breath down.
Rest your eyes closed.
Bring the body into stillness.
Key elements to self-compassion are self-kindness,
Common humanity,
And the ability to recognize that we all make mistakes.
In compassion,
There's no room for judgment,
And there's no reason to have to hold back your emotions.
So during this meditation,
Allow yourself to feel.
Remember that you are in a safe space.
Keep holding your heart.
Follow the flow of your breath,
Bringing more love into your body.
With each inhale,
You fill up with love.
With each exhale,
You release the judgment.
Can you rest here in loving-kindness to yourself?
Can you treat yourself with understanding?
Can you tell yourself that you're beautiful?
Hold your heart,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your soul in the highest regard.
Remind yourself that you are enough and complete right now,
Just as you are.
Fully accepting yourself as a whole being in this moment,
With your heart beating under your hands.
Your heart beats for love,
For kindness,
For compassion,
And for forgiveness.
And in this moment,
It is beating just for you.
This is the moment that matters.
This is the moment where your life is happening.
Can you open up to more love,
To more sweetness,
To more kindness,
Gentleness,
And caring for yourself?
With each breath,
Allow those qualities to flow through you.
Continue to rest in this moment,
Holding your own heart.
Before we end this meditation,
I invite you to think about your favorite thing that you love about yourself.
What is something that makes you unique?
And even saying it out loud or in your mind,
This is my favorite thing about myself.
This is what I love about me.
Slowly wrap your arms around your body,
Giving yourself a hug.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Exhale out of your mouth.
When you are ready,
You can slowly blink open your eyes,
And with care,
Gently returning to your day.
