Welcome to today's exercise.
My name is Irene.
This exercise is designed to help you get in touch with your breathing and accept your life as it is.
It is intended to support you in saying yes to life and developing or deepening a positive attitude towards existence.
The exercise begins with a body scan,
Then moves on to calming and deepening your breathing.
Finally,
I will invite you to combine your breathing with a visualization.
Find a quiet place now,
Where you are undisturbed and where you feel comfortable.
Sit down comfortably or lie down.
It is important that you can relax well and let go completely.
Take the time to settle in and close your eyes.
I now invite you to feel and relax your body.
Relax your feet,
Your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your buttocks,
Your lower back,
Your middle back,
Your upper back,
Your shoulder girdle,
Your shoulder blades,
Your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your lower arms,
Your wrists,
Your hands,
All ten fingers.
Relax your pelvis,
Your lower belly,
Your upper belly,
Your solar plexus,
The muscles of your rib cage,
Your breast.
Relax your neck,
Your throat,
The back of your head,
The top of your head,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your cheeks,
All the muscles of your face.
Relax your head,
Relax your whole body.
If you can,
Breathe through your nose.
Take plenty of time to breathe in.
Also take plenty of time to breathe out.
Observe how your breathing slowly deepens and relaxes at the same time.
Take your time to find a good breathing rhythm.
Allow your breath to slowly enter into a natural relaxed flow and deepen.
Let your breath slowly start to glide.
I now invite you to imagine that as you inhale,
Vitalizing energy flows in through your pelvis and up your upper body all the way up to your head.
The energy flows with your breath,
With your inhale,
Completely relaxed,
Totally in the flow.
As you breathe in,
Feel how you accept life.
Life is a gift that you are allowed to accept.
You are allowed to unfold your being.
You are allowed to be yourself.
It's okay how and who you are.
It is a good thing.
Your life is a gift to you and it has many other gifts in store for you.
These gifts ensure that you feel good,
That you are well and that you are loved.
Take the decision now to fully accept life and form the word yes in your mind.
Feel a yes with each inhalation.
Feel total acceptance of life in all its fullness.
Take a few moments to totally feel this,
To connect with your yes to life.
When you can feel the flow of energy from the pelvis right up to your head,
As well as the acceptance of life,
The yes to life with each inhalation,
Then let your exhalation be a little longer now,
A little longer than the inhalation.
And as you breathe out,
I now invite you to visualize the energy flowing down,
Flowing from your head all the way down your upper body,
Down through your pelvis,
All the way through your legs,
Through your feet and out through the soles of your feet.
And with that flow of energy,
That energy leaving your body,
Everything negative in your body,
May it be stress,
Strain or negative external energies,
Whatever it may be,
All of that can be taken away.
It is allowed to leave your body now.
Everything that separates you from yourself is now allowed to leave your body.
It might also be that negative emotions show themselves.
They as well are allowed to leave your body with your exhale,
With the flow of energy going down and out through your feet.
Stay with the full visualization a little longer.
With each inhale,
The energy enters your body through your pelvis,
It moves up all the way up to your head.
You say yes to life,
You are in full acceptance of that gift of life to you.
With each exhale,
You let go of all that no longer serves you and you feel the energy flowing down from your head all the way down and out through your feet and you let go with the exhale.
I now slowly invite you to let go of the visualization.
Repeat a last circle of breathing.
Then slowly come back,
Come back to feeling your whole body.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Feel the air that surrounds you.
Feel the movement of your breath and take three deep cleansing breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now bring your awareness a little more towards the outside.
Start listening to sounds that surround you.
Start moving your body in whatever way may feel good now.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes and come back.
