This is Joni with Healthy Body,
Peaceful Soul.
I'm going to guide you in a practice designed to help you cultivate intuition and insight.
It might be helpful to have a notepad and pen or pencil nearby in case you want to jot anything down,
But I also want you to take a moment to get comfortable either in a sitting position or lying down.
As you settle in,
Take a deep inhale and exhale with a sigh,
Relaxing and letting go.
Let's do that again.
Deep inhale,
Pause your breath for just a moment and then exhale again,
Relaxing and letting go even more.
Let's do that one more time.
Deep inhale,
Pausing at the top of the inhale and exhaling with a sigh.
Relax and let go.
Soften and melt your whole body from the head to the face,
The neck and shoulders,
Relaxation flowing like a river down the arms,
Down and out the tips of each finger and that same relaxation flowing down the torso,
Down the legs,
All the way down and out through each of the toes and the whole body relaxed.
Check in with your mind.
Is there something that you need to ask yourself to let go of there?
Relaxing and letting go just a little bit more.
Taking your attention now to the abdomen and feeling the subtle sensation of breath there.
The rise and fall with each inhale and each exhale.
Watch and feel.
And if you notice any tension in the body or any thoughts that arise in the mind,
Remind yourself by simply saying,
Relax and let go.
Bring that to yourself again and again.
Anytime you get distracted,
Relax and let go.
Come back to feel the breath,
Each inhalation,
Each exhalation.
As you feel the flow of breath in and out,
I invite you to focus your attention just above the belly button,
Just below the rib cage,
The solar plexus.
Just focus your attention here as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
And still feeling the breath,
Shift your attention and awareness to the space between the eyebrows.
Just focus your attention on the space between the eyebrows as you feel each inhalation and each exhalation.
Bring your attention back to the solar plexus just above the belly button and silently recite,
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
If any other thoughts arise in the mind,
Relax and let go.
Bring your focus to the space between the eyebrows again and recite to yourself,
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
If you get distracted,
Relax and let go.
And still feeling the breath,
Still feeling the belly,
Still feeling that flow of air in and the flow of air out.
Try to focus your attention now on both the solar plexus and the space between the eyebrows.
And you focus on both areas at once and say to yourself,
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
I trust myself and I know.
Bringing your awareness to the top of the head,
Relaxing.
Awareness of the face,
The neck and shoulders,
The chest,
The upper back,
The belly and the lower back.
Awareness flowing down both arms and out through the tips of the fingers.
Awareness flowing down the legs and out through the tips of the toes.
Awareness of the whole body in this position,
In this space,
In this moment.
Awareness of each inhalation and each exhalation.
As we start to draw this practice to a close,
I invite you to ask your inner self,
Ask your inner self,
What is my innermost longing?
What is my innermost longing?
And what does my inner voice have to say?
And if you get an answer,
If an answer arises within you,
You're welcome to awaken and write that down.
Or you're welcome to just hold space for it in your mind and in your heart.
When you are ready to bring this practice to a close,
I invite you to wiggle your fingers and toes.
And we'll take three deep breaths again,
Deep inhale and exhale with a sigh.
Again.
And one more breath like that.
And this is a good time to open your eyes and perhaps do some thoughtful reflection or some journaling,
Asking yourself if you noticed anything.
If anything came up when you were listening to your inner voice and the more you do this practice,
The more you might start to hear or be able to listen to your own intuition and your own insight and instinct.
Take care.
Be well.
