Welcome beautiful soul to this earth element grounding meditation.
My name is Chloe with Inner Glow Awakening.
I'll welcome you into this space.
The purpose of this meditation is to calm worry,
Harmonise stomach,
Spleen energy and prevent reflux or anxiety flares.
It's best practiced as a midday reset.
Welcome to this grounding meditation.
This is your time to pause,
To reconnect with your centre and to nourish your body and mind.
The earth element in traditional Chinese medicine represents nourishment,
Steadiness and balance.
When your stomach and spleen energies are harmonised,
You feel calm,
Grounded and supported,
Able to digest not only food but also life itself.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
You may sit tall in a chair or stand with feet hip width distance apart,
Planted firmly on the ground.
Allow your spine to lengthen naturally,
The crown of your head lifting gently towards the sky.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Take a deep,
Slow inhale through your nose and exhale fully through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
Again,
Inhale deeply and as you exhale,
Imagine setting down all the busyness of the day,
Like placing a heavy bag on the ground.
One more time,
Inhale and exhale with a gentle sigh this time.
Let your breath now return to a natural rhythm,
Easy and unforced.
Now let's root deeply into the earth.
Bring awareness to the soles of your feet.
Imagine them softening and spreading gently,
As if they could open and extend into the ground beneath you.
With your next breath in,
Picture fine golden roots growing down from your feet,
Reaching deeper into the soil.
With each exhale,
Allow these roots to spread further,
Finding stability and nourishment.
Continue for a few breaths,
Inhaling to grow your roots,
Exhaling to settle them deeper into the rich,
Steady earth.
Now let's practice releasing mental indigestion.
With your roots firmly planted,
Imagine the earth is ready to receive all that weighs on your mind.
As you inhale,
Notice any thoughts of worry,
Stress or overthinking that feel heavy in your body.
And as you exhale,
Let those thoughts travel down your roots,
Releasing into the earth.
There is no need to hold them any longer.
The earth can transform them,
Just as it transforms seeds into nourishment.
Take several breaths like this,
Inhaling awareness of what you carry.
Exhaling to release it down into the ground.
Now we'll practice heart-stomach connection.
Place one hand on your stomach,
Just above the navel,
And the other hand on your heart.
Notice the warmth beneath your hands.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Imagine a wide,
Golden,
Yellow field of wheat stretching out before you.
The sun shines softly on the swaying stalks.
The breeze moves gently.
And the earth feels steady beneath your feet.
Allow this golden field to surround you.
You are standing in the middle of it,
Safe,
Nourished and supported.
Let's go deeper by layering this with some affirmations.
As you breathe,
Whisper softly or repeat silently with it.
I am nourished.
I am steady.
I transform challenges into energy.
Let each phrase settle not only in your mind,
But into your body,
Into your stomach,
Your heart,
And your solar plexus.
Now here's an optional gentle movement practice.
You can add in now,
Or if you feel it will disturb the meditation,
You can practice it later.
You can even imagine the movement in your mind's eye if you are unable to move right now,
Visualizing how the body would move and sensing it within your being.
If you are standing,
Bring your hands to your hips and gently twist your torso from side to side.
Move slowly,
Inhaling from the center and exhaling as you rotate.
Feel the gentle massage of your digestive organs,
Encouraging energy to flow with ease.
If you are seated,
You may take a simple seated twist,
One side at a time.
Take three to five rounds,
Moving with the rhythm of your breath.
You may like to pause this to take your time.
Returning back when you are ready.
Now we will go into a practice of drawing nourishment upwards.
Returning to stillness,
Visualize your golden roots again,
Stretching deep into the earth.
This time as you inhale,
Imagine drawing nourishing earth energy up through your roots.
See it rising through your legs,
Into your belly and into your heart.
As you exhale,
Feel that nourishment settling into every cell of your body.
Repeat this for three deep,
Slow breaths.
Inhale,
Drawing up earth support.
Exhale,
Letting it anchor and steady you.
We will close the practice now by bringing your hands together at your heart or rest them gently in your lap.
Take a final deep breath in,
Filling your stomach and chest with golden light.
Exhale slowly,
Releasing any last remnants of stress or worry.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Returning to your day with renewed calm,
Stability and inner nourishment.
And remember,
Just as the earth always supports you,
Your body is always working to digest,
Transform and restore balance.
I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.
Namaste
