Are you exhausted?

Do you feel completely and utterly shattered,

Drained of all energy?

Sometimes the best thing that we can do,

The most productive thing that we can do when we are feeling stuck,

Exhausted,

Is to do nothing.

So in this meditation,

We're going to allow the body to drop into a deep state of relaxation and use this pocket of rest to rejuvenate,

To recharge,

To create some space for the energy to flow.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes and prepare your body for your meditation.

Find a comfortable position that you would like to receive this in.

Make this a super-duper comfortable and cozy position,

Whether seated or lying down,

If you wish.

If you are lying down,

Allow your spine to be flat.

Support your knees with a bolster or a pillow under,

And the back of your head can rest on the mat or a small pillow.

If you do fall asleep,

Enjoy your nap.

If you're not disqualified,

You will still benefit from the rest.

And with your next exhale,

Just sigh out the breath from your body.

And with that,

We start to relax the body.

Feel your forehead and all muscles around the eyes and between the eyebrows release.

Feel them open.

Feel your eyes drop and rest deeper into their sockets beneath the heavy lids.

Relax your hinge of the jaw.

Relax the tongue.

Feel the lower jaw release,

Parting your lips slightly to make sure that your jaw muscles do not tense.

Allow your shoulders to drop down away from the ears,

Chest open and relaxed,

Lifting and rising up slightly with your inhale.

And as you exhale,

Relaxing deeper and deeper down towards the belly and the low back.

Let your belly go.

Be patient there.

Take your time and release your belly and all that it homes for you.

The muscles,

The organs,

The fluids.

Relax your hips and your thighs.

Feel your pelvis heavy on whatever surface is supporting you.

Relax the arms,

The fingers,

The toes.

With every exhale,

Just allow your body to release deeper into relaxation.

Inhaling,

Filling the whole body with breath.

Feel your inhale.

Feel the whole shape of you.

And then allow the exhale to be a sigh out of your lips and see if you can make it longer by two counts than your inhale.

So if your inhales are to the count of three,

Allow your exhales to be a sigh out of the lips to the count of five or more.

Inhaling,

Tensing the whole body with breath.

And exhaling,

Releasing,

Emptying the whole body of breath.

Do two more like this.

With every exhale,

Feeling your body release more tension,

Becoming more supple and relaxed.

And then release your breath.

We're going to start to bring the breath and the energy of the body down towards the lower parts,

Towards the belly,

Down to the hips,

To the pelvis,

Through the legs and onto the earth.

Breathing the energy from the top of the head.

And as you exhale,

See this down to the chest,

To the belly,

To the hips,

To the legs and out to the earth.

Every inhale creates this power to shift and transform your energy from the higher parts to the lower parts of you.

And then through that out into the earth where it dissolves.

Feeling you like this through the head,

To the face,

Down through the throat and the neck.

Exhaling it out from the shoulders and the arms and the hands.

Exhale it out.

You can see it stream out of the tips of the toes down to the core of the earth.

From the chest,

Shoulders,

Back of the heart,

Diaphragm and the mid-back.

From the belly and the low back down to the core of the earth it dissolves.

Breathing down the hips and the pelvis,

Down the legs through the knees and shins and calves,

Through the ankles and feet,

Out through the tips of the toes.

Continue to breathe,

Clearing out the energy of overwhelm and exhaustion down and out of the body.

Take as many rounds of this as necessary for you to clear your whole shape.

And once this feels complete,

Now focus on the inhales and with every round,

With every inhale you invite the qualities you need.

The energy that you need to support and rejuvenate you.

Feel it with every round,

With every inhale.

Feel your vessel,

Feel your shape.

From the top of the head to the tips of the fingers to the tips of the toes and back up to the top of your head,

Your whole body is filling up,

Recharged with fresh energy full of all the qualities that you need.

And when you're ready,

Bring your hands to your hearts in the gesture of gratitude.

Gratitude to your heart and all that it homes for you,

For all that you give and all that you receive.

We bow with love.

Namaste.
