Okay,

So today we want to connect to what is called the obsessive thoughts.

So before we go into meditation,

Let's just talk a minute about thoughts,

About the mind,

And make some order.

Because normally we just think.

Normally we identify with the thought that I am thinking and I am the one who thinks.

And what I think is actually me.

But that's completely illusory of course,

It's not true.

Because who we really are is what observes the thought and not the thought itself.

So this is first of all to acknowledge.

However,

When the mind is entering into a circuit of thinking,

Especially if it's a negative and it's obsessive,

So the fear and the anxiety that it produces is stronger than any spirituality,

And it's very difficult to move out of this circuit and to say I'm observing because we are completely inside like a washing machine.

So what do we do in this case?

So I'll go to what we can do in this case.

But first of all,

We have to know our mind,

We have to know our tendencies.

So when we have the obsessive thoughts,

We have to do something about it.

But before that,

Because we know we have this tendency,

We should also prepare ourselves.

Prepare ourselves or maintain ourselves better saying than prepare ourselves.

Because what's really happening is that the mind has a habitual circuit that it just thinks in a certain way.

And it continues to think and continues to think in a very habitual way.

Even mundane things like having a coffee in the morning or like now I do this in the right hand,

Why don't I do it with the left hand?

You know,

It's a habit.

So the mind has a circuit that they prefer the right hand and not the left hand.

So one way to deal with these tendencies is to impose a little bit new circuits on the brain.

So,

For example,

To do more things in the left hand if you're right handed.

So if I do this now,

I talk,

Maybe I pay attention.

If I want to do something,

I do with the left hand or maybe I can brush my teeth with the left hand.

Or just bring more awareness to any mundane things we're doing.

And like this,

We can become more aware of the mind.

Also,

When it's going into difficult things,

Because going and making a coffee in the morning is no big deal.

Or doing like this with the right hand is no big deal.

But when habitually I'm thinking I'm stupid,

I cannot do something or nobody loves me,

That's a big deal.

Because this produces a lot of toxicity inside our system,

Makes us anxious,

And also doesn't allow us to fly and to be who we are in our life.

But for that we need to create a lot of awareness and to start to create the distancing between the one who thinks and between the thoughts.

And this we can do by constantly paying attention during the day to everything we do.

Not miss anything.

So if I have a habit,

Challenge the habit.

Why would I do this?

Why would I go to the right when I go to the left?

Why do I go on this hour to do this when I can?

Just challenge it.

So the mind will move out its habitual,

Unharmful things,

And then you'll have more power to look at the harmful things and to decide if you want to go there.

Okay?

So this is a preparation.

Now,

When we have more space inside us,

We can also connect a lot to love and to gratitude.

So we're preparing an environment that is more helpful for the mind to be quiet.

So when the mind is constantly in habit and in circuits,

Many times or many of these circuits are not peaceful circuits.

They are very disturbing circuits.

So there are a few things that we can incorporate into our day that will be much more comfortable.

For example,

If we do gratitude.

So how about if anything we do,

We add gratitude?

For example,

If I eat,

Maybe I can give some gratitude before.

Maybe when I wake up in the morning,

Maybe I give gratitude.

The first thing,

Instead of thinking about what I need to do,

Are my troubles.

Etc.

Just incorporate gratitude.

This will soften your heart.

And if we live with gratitude,

The heart is more active and the mind is more relaxed.

Okay?

So this is another practice that can inhibit more of the tendency to go into obsession.

Okay.

But let's say that we are in the middle of the storm already and obsession hit.

And obsession doesn't have to be like really psychotic,

Like really,

Really severe.

It can be just a thought that is really not comfortable,

But we are quite addicted to that thought and we cannot let go of it.

So what do we do?

So let's assume this is the situation and let's guide the meditation on the direction.

Okay?

So we all had those experiences when the mind is becoming quite crazy and is going 120 miles per hour and doesn't stop.

And it produces a lot of backfire of emotions and sensation,

Maybe even panic.

I cannot breathe.

You know,

Quite difficult stuff.

So the first thing that is helpful or it's crucial is first to recognize I'm in trouble.

To recognize I'm in trouble now.

When you do that,

Already there's a shift,

You know?

So you stop and say,

Oops,

You know,

Actually I'm completely obsessed now.

I'm completely taken over by the mind.

I cannot control it.

So already when you recognize that,

You already create a little bit of space between the thinker and the thought.

So that's first of all.

And then you say,

Whoops,

I'm in trouble.

What can I do?

So already you helped yourself by recognizing.

Now,

A very powerful remedy,

Of course,

Is breathing.

So first,

Just to really have a very strong effect and like severe transformation,

The breath should be more strong,

More powerful to really make a physiological shift in our system.

So although I believe most of us are not really strongly anxious now,

But let's just breathe a little bit stronger now,

Taking deep breath and exhaling deep a bit faster than normal.

And in this case,

We can breathe through the mouth or through the nose,

But whatever allows you to breathe deep.

Let's take a few deep breaths and try to feel as much breathing space as possible.

A bit faster than normal,

Deeper than normal.

One more time,

Deep and relax.

If you are in a really heavy duty situation,

You take more breath and more faster and faster and deeper.

But now we can let go.

Even that already affected quite strongly our system.

I just pause to see what's going on.

So the mind obviously is still might be all over the place.

But if we play close attention,

We can feel vibration.

This is our the thread that can guide us home.

Vibration is the thread that can guide us home.

Home to peace,

Home to wellness.

So we continue.

We breathe a bit deeper,

But not forcefully now.

And we pay attention that all the breathing spaces in the body that available for the breath to manifest is actually expressed.

Meaning the breath goes all the way to the pelvic floor,

Lower abdomen,

Lower back,

Ribs,

Chest,

Upper chest,

Shoulder,

Even neck and throat.

Everything is filled up with air,

But there is no pressure.

Let's do it a little bit.

So what's happening already just to explain is the mind just to pay attention to the breath,

It less can pay attention to the thoughts already.

We can trick the mind a little bit.

And in the same time,

The breathing affecting a shift in the central nervous system to more relaxed parasympathetic state of being.

Okay,

So it's already making a shift.

Now let's add two things into the deep breathing.

One is invitation.

So inviting the breath to move in and to create a lot of space and to settle in the body.

So it's not forceful.

And when we exhale,

This is the time to add gratitude.

And even if the mind says,

Who are you kidding?

What are you thinking for?

You know,

We have such a deep,

Deep problem here.

Don't listen to it.

Just say thank you.

That's all.

Even you don't know for what,

Doesn't matter.

And as the mind relaxes more,

The gratitude can be even more clear.

For example,

Gratitude that I'm breathing.

Now,

Gratitude is not a thought.

If it's a thought is not powerful.

Gratitude must be a feeling,

An emotion.

Then it's super powerful because it activates the heart.

When the heart activates,

Love activates.

When love activates,

We are connected to life because life is love.

So let's continue with the breathing and gratitude.

But let's say,

Try to connect to the emotion of love when we express the gratitude.

Now to connect to love,

We don't need to be in love with somebody necessarily.

We can,

But that's not the point.

Love is the most natural thing.

And it's actually the essence of the center of the chest,

The heart.

It functions on love.

So in order to feel love,

We have to guide the mind into the center of the chest.

And when we say gratitude,

Then love will vibrate automatically.

Beautiful.

Now when the mind is a bit more relaxed,

We give it another push by expanding,

By recognizing that the breath actually is not starting from the nose or the mouth.

Actually,

It's infinite.

So when we're expressing infinity to the mind,

It gets even more confused and it calms down even more.

So let's acknowledge that the breath comes from infinity.

Then it goes into the body with gratitude and it comes out from the body with gratitude.

Let's look for a few more things that maybe you feel gratitude for,

Like I'm hearing the birds singing around.

It's beautiful.

So I'm grateful for that.

I feel the air touching my face like I get caressing by life.

I'm grateful for that.

I feel stable on the earth,

Sitting on a chair,

Grateful for that.

So just find and feel,

Really feel things that you feel good and you're grateful automatically,

Naturally.

So now when we activated the heart more with gratitude,

We can continue to use the tool of infinity or the acknowledgement of infinity.

And especially now when we exhale,

Let's visualize that we become very sunny.

So we inhale and drawing the life force from infinity into the body.

And we exhale and we are as if we become sunny out.

So the out-breath is not only coming from the nose or the mouth.

It's actually radiating from our whole being like a powerful radiating sun.

Even a very anxious mind,

When it follows all these steps we did until now,

Should feel much better.

OK,

Next step,

What we do is healing or correction,

We can call it.

So what happened that when we were very anxious,

Maybe a stomach got very tight like a ball,

Maybe a chest become very heavy,

Maybe a throat,

Maybe whatever.

Yeah,

So our system reacted to the anxiety in a very physical way.

So now we want to specifically release the leftover tensions that our body accumulate as a result of the previous anxiety.

So just scan,

See in you,

Even if you're not very anxious,

Maybe there's a leftover tension that you would like to release more and more.

In order to release it,

We inhaling to the area of tension and again exhaling with this image of sun from the place of tension radiating outwards.

Maybe like an onion,

If let's say the stomach was very tight and now it's feeling better,

Maybe suddenly another sense of tension in other part of your being manifest,

You can go there and use the same technique.

Inhaling to it and exhaling and shining it out.

So be very clear.

Try to release all aspect of focal tensions that still has a residue inside you and breathe it out,

Release it out.

Next step that is very helpful is to connect to the fact that we are loved.

So that's from the family of gratitude,

But it's more specifically to feel that we are loved by life.

Because the main reason why we're so anxious is because we're separate from life and from ourselves.

When we feel connected,

When we feel safe,

When we feel supported,

We're less likely to get anxious.

And if we did,

We can come back home.

To feel loved by life,

Again we can go to simple sensation of the air touching our face and caressing us.

But to receive it is love,

Not just mundane sensation,

But I'm loved by the air.

The clothes are warming you and give you a nice sense of warmth and protection.

Feel the love of that.

The chair or wherever you sit and the earth giving you such a firm support.

Feel the love of the earth holding you in place.

The air that we breathe,

The heaven that shines,

The sun that warms,

Is love.

Feel it,

Acknowledge it,

Experience it,

That you're loved.

This is not a thought,

It must be a direct experience of love,

And it's so powerful.

When we feel loved,

Like a child resting in its mother's arm,

We can relax.

Tissue relaxing,

Emotions relaxing,

Thoughts relaxing.

As if we're going to sleep,

But we are so powerfully awake,

So connected to life,

But completely relaxed.

Good.

Now let's take advantage from the fact that we are here,

A group of amazing people,

And we can use what is called in Buddhism the Sangha,

The spiritual brotherhood and sisterhood between us to support us.

Support us through a united image that will help us raise vibration together.

So let's take the advantage that we're here together,

And now let's visualize that we are creating a circle,

And here we depend on each other to really have a clear image with our mind,

Creating a circle.

So let's do it,

Create a circle,

And then let's start to acknowledge that we are here together,

And we are sharing our hearts,

Connecting together in the circle like a bead on a pearl.

And every time we exhale,

We're circulating love in the circle,

We're inhaling back in our heart,

And we're exhaling to share it with our lovely friends.

And here we depend on each other for the power we're going to engage.

As much as we are all engaged together,

And thinking and having exactly the same image,

The experience is so powerful.

Inhaling love from each other,

Exhaling love to each other.

Love and light,

Power,

Energy,

Same.

So circle become more and more radiant,

More and more bright,

And the vibration increases as a result.

And then to get more powerful,

Let's acknowledge our infinite being,

Yet we're radiating so much light around us,

Infinite light,

So the circle becomes so vibrant,

So radiant,

Shimmering.

And if you pay attention,

You can feel all those things are tangible,

Completely,

Because we're all doing it wonderful.

And if we're supporting each other,

We can even relax more.

Our heart relaxes,

Our mind relaxes.

We underestimate the power of our mind.

It's so powerful to support ourselves,

To support others.

Each image that comes in our mind creates reality,

So we have the most amazing machine in our mind,

In our hands.

Beautiful.

And let's now acknowledge or visualize that this circle is around all planet Earth,

And it's connected in a matrix of light through all humanity,

As if each human being is like a synapse,

Like we have in the brain between the neurons,

Synapse of light that transmutes energy and love all around.

So all around planet Earth,

We create a matrix of light.

So there's a layer of light right now that is pulsating with love and light.

And it's like this just because we're visualizing it.

That's the only reason.

Wonderful.

And let's visualize this beautiful energy that we feel and we're sharing between all human and humanity,

Moves with so much love into Mother Earth,

And in the same time radiates to the whole creation.

So planet Earth is a sun of love,

Radiating to the whole creation,

Vibration of love.

Thank you so much for joining and doing such a beautiful participation so we can all benefit.

And remember the steps,

But anyway this meditation will be online,

So you can always come back and listen if you feel like it.

Lovely.

Have a beautiful week.

Good evening.

My first experience with Yair, & I am now following him! I’ve listened to countless talks on this topic, but Yair’s approach is unique, & goes into much more detail about every aspect of this disturbing impairment. I’ve already listened to this 5 or 6 times (today!) and I get more out of it each time. I look forward to his other talks, both live and recorded. Thank you forever, Yair ❤️

Thank you for this as it was much needed for the moment bringing me back to my discoveries with Mooji.I was reminded by what you were saying to let these thoughts pass by like clouds and not attaching my self to any of the thoughts and no need then will I obsess about the thought. To stay in my innerbeing,my consciousness, and our of the mind which causes these mind attacks but can't as long as I remain who I am.Thank you...Great meditation.
