Welcome my friend.
Let's talk about the now.
Many things are very wrong in the now,
Maybe in your life,
In your body,
In your mind,
In your emotions.
Things are not going the way you wish them to go.
And if your life going perfect,
You feel amazing in your body,
You just open the news,
You look around and you see a lot of suffering,
A lot of difficulties,
That shows that the now is not perfect.
Many people suffer on this planet,
The environment suffers,
So many problems.
The question is,
Is that it?
Is your internal discomfort or external problems has to dictate the now you're experiencing?
The answer is no.
That's only possible if you separate.
If you separate awareness from what's happening or what the awareness is observing.
What is awareness?
Awareness is what allows you to be aware of anything,
Of me talking to you,
Of sensation in your body,
Of anything that your senses are bringing in or anything that your mind presenting to actually itself.
We're calling to you,
But actually the mind presenting to itself.
All that we are aware of.
The problem is that always we identify with what we are aware.
So if there is sadness that I feel,
I'm saying I'm sad or I feel physical pain,
My shoulder is so painful or there is problem outside,
I say my life is not working good because there are problem outside.
But always this identity comes from the ego.
What happened when we become aware of what's happening and not identifying with what's happening?
What happens when I'm aware that there is pain in part of the body,
In the shoulder,
In the knee,
The back or wherever,
But I'm not identifying with saying my shoulder is painful and take it so deep that it's kind of transforming all my existence.
What happened when I feel sadness in my heart,
But I don't completely collapse into the sadness and identifying with the sadness,
I'm sad.
I'm pulling out and observing the sadness.
What happened when we see atrocities,
Very difficult things happening on planet Earth,
Yet we don't pull inside,
We're observing.
That doesn't mean we don't take action.
We don't take social or political or economical action or we don't take personal action.
Meaning that if I have pain in some part of my body and I can do physiotherapy or take medication or do whatever that helps that pain to go,
I should do that.
The strongest healer is presence really.
Why is that?
Because when you're present and you're not identifying completely with what you're present of,
Then you create space in which what's happening within you can start to transform.
But if I have pain in my body and my whole being is collapsing into that pain,
Physical or emotional,
If I have difficulty in my life and all my identity collapses to that difficulty,
There's no space for things to move,
To shift.
How do we develop awareness and space?
First by understanding that I don't ought to be the object of my awareness.
I'm not the object.
So that understanding already pulls you out and allows you to have more distance from the experience.
When you practice any form of meditation it'll greatly support you to do that.
When you practice any form of a physical movement like yoga,
Like Tai Chi,
Like Qigong or anything else which you practice with a lot of awareness and it based on awareness you develop that that's a muscle of being that allows you to take space.
Please remember that space and presence will enhance your existence greatly.
