
Source Awareness Meditation

This is a Source Awareness Meditation {SAM}. It is designed to take the listener on an Experiential Journey of living life from the perspective of a Spiritual Being having a human experience. The meditation offers a break from the conditioned Egoic Experience and is designed to give the listener a glimpse of our True Nature.

Hi,
I'm Bobby Cobb.
I'm a sustaining member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Adams Center here in Anchorage,
Alaska,
And I want to thank you for checking out our patron program.

And today,
For those of you who are so moved,
I wanted to offer as a gift a guided meditation.
This is a type of meditation called Source Awareness Meditation,
And it is designed to give you the experiential experiential journey of life as a spiritual being having a human experience.
One of the things that we have in our audio program is a talk by a Jesuit priest talking about the priest and mystic Pierre Tellar de Jardin.
I took French once there.
No evidence of that.
And he was talking about how misunderstood he is,
And he is the guy who gave us the phrase that we're not human beings that have occasional spiritual experiences.
Rather,
We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
And that's something that anybody who's on a metaphysical journey or a spiritual journey or considers themselves to be a seeker has almost certainly heard that phrase.
I did a presentation not too long ago to kind of a spiritually oriented audience.
And I just said the first half of the phrase,
We're not human beings having occasional spiritual experiences.
And,
You know,
If I had a mic and held it out to the audience,
100% of them could have filled in the second half of that.
And it's a cool saying.
It's a neat little bumper sticker.
And it conveys an interesting sentiment.
But here's a question for you.
What if that is not just a cool,
Pithy phrase?
Rather,
Guidance,
Wisdom,
Direction?
I certainly feel like that is the case.
And for the past four years,
That's been the life that I have led.
I live a life of perpetual meditation.
And my mantra is literally asking myself right now,
Am I showing up as spirit?
Am I showing up as love?
Or am I showing up as a human being lost in the perception lost in the illusion,
As Einstein said,
Reality,
Perceived reality is an illusion,
Although it is a persistent one.
And when we show up as ego,
That's the term I typically use for it,
We're showing up seeking love.
We're not showing up as love.
So in this meditation,
I'm going to invite you to experience what it is like to live life as pure consciousness,
Pure awareness,
And to see this body and this mind as something that we have,
But not something that we are.
And I hope you'll enjoy the experience.
My intention is it'll be about an hour or so,
Although once I get into flow,
There's no telling.
It could be longer,
It could be shorter.
It'll be what it is.
But I hope you enjoy this journey and thank you again for any generosity that you are moved to share with the Adam Center.
So in this journey,
It's something that you can do with your eyes open or closed.
In a moment,
I'm going to screen share.
And in that screen share,
There will be just some cool images that you can look at if you like to meditate gazing into a flame,
Whether it be a candle or a campfire.
And you prefer to do it with eyes wide open.
This will be a,
This will be a cool vision that you can get lost within.
Or you can be fully ensconced in the theater of your mind,
Powered by the most spectacular special effects department on the planet,
The human imagination.
So sit back,
Relax,
And enjoy.
And I will see you on the other side.
So as we begin,
Just find a nice comfortable place to settle into.
And a chair.
Or if you can prefer,
You lay down.
And just relax and take conscious control of your breathing.
This is all about the mind.
This is all about creating unity and alignment,
Getting centered and grounded.
And our breath of all of our bodily functions is the easiest to turn over completely to our autonomic nervous system.
Any days go by and we never give a conscious thought.
To the fact that we're breathing in and out 15 to 20 times per minute for the average person.
Or we can effortlessly decide to take conscious control of our breath.
And if meditation is a regular practice for you,
Or if it's about to become a regular practice,
You can know that as you take conscious control of your breath,
Particularly if you're following the specific pattern that I'm going to be introducing to you too,
On this particular journey,
You can create unity and alignment.
You can create a very effective anchor that sends a message to your rational mind,
And to your body,
And to your nervous system,
And to every cell of your body,
Every fiber of your being.
Just sending the message to relax and slip back into the innate peace,
And tranquility,
And clarity that is our body-mind at rest.
Take nice deep breaths.
And as you breathe in,
Know that you're bringing in life-giving oxygen,
Filling your lungs.
And as you breathe out,
Know that you are eliminating you,
Molecules used cells,
Recycling them back into the universe as we'll discuss as our journey continues.
So just continue to breathe in and out.
And notice in this short period of time,
The three or so minutes that we've been together so far,
Just breathe in and out.
So far,
Just how quickly your breath has relaxed,
And then relaxing your breath,
Notice that there are waves of calmness emanating through you,
Calming every fiber of your being.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Now in a moment,
I want to introduce you to a pranayama technique,
Lovingly known as konyak breath.
Prana is life force.
It's what Yoda and Obi-Wan were talking about when they said to Luke Skywalker,
May the force be with you.
And of course,
The force is always with us,
Always flowing through us.
And the yama is the regulation of.
So pranayama is the regulation of life force.
And we do that through our breath and through our breathing.
And this particular technique of konyak breath is very effective in calming our mood.
Letting a blanket of bliss surround us and return us to that inner tranquility.
Our mind can get staticky like a snow globe that's been shaken.
With lots of little sparkles,
It looks like a storm is taking place inside.
But through this breath,
We metaphorically are sitting that snow globe down on the table and noticing that when we do that,
The snow globe settles,
Returns to its natural,
Innate state.
And so too will we on this journey.
So this particular pranayama technique,
Known as konyak breath,
Is it a one-two count.
So for each count that you breathe in,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
You'll breathe out twice as many counts.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And you'll notice that in order to be able to do that,
You've got to blow out deliberately and slowly.
You cannot be rushing this at all.
And the goal of this particular technique is to empty the lungs.
And there's a powerful physiological reason that it's good to empty the lungs,
Because as we empty our lungs completely,
Something that we do when we're participating in a vigorous workout,
We take nice deep breaths.
It's one of the reasons that exercise and working out in the yard,
Putting in a good day's work,
Is so calming.
It's stress reducing.
It's one of the reasons that the deep breaths that we take in peak physical experiences when we're making love leave us so relaxed.
It's one of the reasons that crying and laughing are both so cleansing,
Because those are experiences that empty our lungs fully.
And as our lungs empty fully,
A message is sent by the vagus nerve up into the control center.
And it's an invitation to activate the parasympathetic nervous system,
That nervous system,
That part of our nervous system that exudes peace and tranquility and joy and bliss.
So through this breathing technique,
We are able to do this through this breathing technique.
We're instructing mission control to release oxytocin,
The love drug,
The drug of connection,
The drug that when a baby suckles on its mama's breast,
Oxytocin is released into the bloodstream of the mom so that she falls deeply in love and feels an incredible connection to this other little sentient being.
And the bond between mother and child is so powerful and can never be broken.
It also releases dopamine,
Pleasure drug that is responsible for the runner's high.
And the beautiful thing about these chemical responses of our body controlled by our inner pharmacy is they're perfectly regulated for the activity that we're doing right now,
Delivered in the exact right amounts,
Manufactured in our own internal pharmacy,
100% organic,
Zero side effects.
Other than peace,
Tranquility and bliss.
So I'm going to guide you in several breaths and strive to follow along with the count.
And as you're breathing out,
Breathe out slowly and regularly and in line with my count.
And then once you fully pushed out as much air out of your lungs as you can,
Simply relax and allow your lungs to fill naturally.
And then with the last couple of bits of that account,
Take in just a little bit more than you might normally might.
So you've got plenty to push out on the next inhalation.
And I will tell you if you have trouble sleeping at night,
Or if sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and finding it tough to go back to sleep,
This breath,
Cognac breath is a breath that will allow you to sneak,
Slip back into that wonderful slumber.
So we're going to work on a five and 10 count.
So wherever you are,
Go ahead and breathe in nicely,
Fill your lungs and hold your breath until I begin the count and work with me to count all the way out and then to breathe back in.

And now for the next several minutes,
Just continue on that count and find your own breath.
If the mood was to go a little bit deeper than what I was breathing there,
Then go with that.
That was too much stress or strain.
Just go a little shallower,
Maybe do a four and an eight count if that works better for you.
Just find your own breath and feel yourself going deeper and becoming more relaxed.
And as you go deeper,
Notice that you can become more relaxed.
And as you become more relaxed,
You can go deeper and deeper.
And you may find your breath rhythms changing.
Very often people report that their breath just continues to slow and get softer and softer as you become more and more relaxed.
And as you inhale,
Think about what you're breathing in.
You're breathing in life,
Giving oxygen,
Pulling it into your lungs,
Your red blood cells are going into the alveoli,
Becoming saturated and beginning their one-minute journey around your body,
Delivering fresh oxygen to every cell of your body through the miracle that is our physiological experience on this plane.
As it makes that journey,
Picks up a bit of carbon that's no longer useful,
Brings it back into the lungs,
Let's breathe back out again,
In with oxygen,
Out with carbon dioxide,
A pint or a pint and a half or two pints,
Depending on how deeply you're breathing.
The volume of air that we breathe in and out a day is more than enough to fill several hot air balloons.
And most days we do it with no effort at all.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And if you think about it,
We're also breathing in light because the carbon dioxide that we exhale is food for the plants.
They breathe in that carbon dioxide,
Turn the carbon molecule into wood,
Into the stock of the plant and into flowers and into roots.
That carbon is then buried in the soil and they breathe out pure oxygen.
That's why walking in nature is so refreshing,
Breathing in fresh air directly from the source.
And plants eat sunshine through the miracle of photosynthesis.
The sun comes down and bakes the chlorophyll of the plants.
The plants use that process to take that carbon dioxide that we're breathing out and they turn it into wood and roots,
Nourishing the soil.
And as they exhale,
They're exhaling pure oxygen,
Which we breathe in.
Every breath that you bring in,
You're breathing in oxygen molecules that used to be part of oak trees and spruce trees and flowers and weeds.
All of the glory of untamed nature and in the grace of the system as we breathe out,
We're breathing out carbon dioxide,
Which feeds nature.
We're just looking for balance,
Providing balance,
Being balance.
As you breathe in and out and relax,
Just scan your body for a moment.
Notice that there are parts of your bodies that are filling very,
Very yummy,
Very relaxed.
And as you breathe in and out,
There may also be parts of your body that are still holding on to a little bit of stress or strain for whatever reason.
I just invite you to play around in the theater of your imagination with shifting your awareness from that spot to the spot that you're in.
From that spot that is super chill,
Just see if you can drag like you would a mouse across a computer screen,
A bit of chill over to the part that still is feeling a little tight.
And see if you can notice it relaxing as well.
And in a moment,
We're going to go on a bit of a journey inward,
Inside to that space,
Inside of which all things occur.
What does that mean?
Think about that for just a second.
You're hearing my voice.
Where is my voice coming from?
I'm sitting here a few days after Easter,
Recording this into a computer that's been digitized and placed upon the internet.
You found your way here.
Now you're listening.
So a digital representation of my voice is emanating from the speakers of your earbuds or your computer or your phone.
And traveling across the space from wherever the speakers are emanating into your ear canal.
Where those little hairs in your eardrum are processing the vocal vibrations.
And once again,
They're being digitized and represented in the theater of your imagination.
If your eyes were open,
You would be looking at energy,
Temporarily appearing as matter.
But that would be a reflection of light passing through your pupils back to the rods and cones of your eyes.
Being digitized and transferred along the optic nerve to the back of your head,
To the occipital lobe,
And then being represented in the theater of your mind.
Powered by the most powerful special effects department on the planet,
The human imagination.
So as we begin our journey,
Just find yourself in the theater of your mind,
Ready for an amazing show to unfold.
Just take a moment to scan your body and notice how comfortable you are.
Notice if you need to make any adjustments to become even more comfortable physically adjusting your body or maybe getting another layer if you've gotten suddenly chilly as more and more of your blood cells are getting more and more comfortable.
And then you can see the light coming in from your body as your blood cells are moving to your brain,
Into your heart,
Into your lungs.
Get yourself nice and comfortable and just see how you're doing.
In a moment,
I want you to recall something that's happened in the past couple of days.
Pleasant memory.
It could be just the smile of a stranger or a particularly wonderful thing that happened to you and I'd like you to just call it up into your imagination and experience it very fully.
Notice what you are feeling in that moment and feel exactly that way.
Again right now,
See what you were seeing and see it in this dark space inside of which all things appear.
Hear what you were hearing.
There were particular smells that were pleasant.
Bring those back to mind as well.
You're recalling a wonderful moment and in a moment I would like you to call something that's come to mind.
Something that's happened in the past couple of days.
A pleasant memory.
Just bring it back to life.
Revivify it and live it again.
That happy moment.
You were laughing or felt a sense of joy or saw something awe-inspiring.
Notice what you're feeling on the inside.
Notice the full vivid detail of what you were seeing just a moment ago.
Take it all in.
See the you that was back then.
And know even in just that short amount of time,
You've changed dramatically.
Scientists tell us we make 180 billion red blood cells.
Billion red blood cells every day.
That's seven and a half billion.
Every hour.
And since the amount of blood that we have in our system remains rarely,
Fairly consistent,
That means you're eliminating also about seven and a half billion red blood cells every hour.
You're breathing in oxygen and out.
And since when?
Messenger audio.
But.
And since the amount of blood that you have in your body remains rarely constant,
That means you've also eliminated seven and a half billion red blood cells.
Oxygen is flowing into and out of your lungs over a dozen times every minute normally.
Probably less than that right now.
We are a constant sea of a changing process.
Changing slightly in every minute of every day.
Every day.
And now I'd like you to recall something from either earlier this year or late last year.
And just look at you.
Notice what you were thinking and feeling back then.
Notice how you've changed in the past few months.
Maybe you've lost weight or put on some weight.
Your hair has changed.
Your clothes has changed.
And now bounce back even further to a you from a decade ago.
Somewhere around 2010 or 2012,
2015,
Wherever it shows up for you.
Just think where were you at that stage of this timeline that we consider to be our life.
Perhaps you can think of some fairly dramatic changes that have taken place in the last decade.
Some people have come into your life that are very dear and precious to you right now.
Perhaps other people have left your presence.
You're not in touch with them in the way that you were previously.
Now bounce back to your late teens.
And notice that once upon a time you were in the same place that you were in the same place that you were in the same place.
You know,
Science tells us that even that 2010 version of us doesn't have a single cell in our body from back then that is still in us today.
Every bone cell,
Every blood cell,
Every skin cell,
Every nerve cell,
Every brain cell has been replaced.
Nothing in the 2020 model that was in the 2010 model unless it's left and come back again.
Is that that's something to consider.
And biologists tell us that we have cells in our body right now.
That we're once in Jesus Christ,
Once in Lord Buddha,
Once in Genghis Khan and Adolf Hitler and Julius Caesar.
We are a continuing flow of information and energy.
And the law of conservation of matter tells us that matter cannot be created nor destroyed,
Just recycled.
Like the carbon dioxide that we breathe out is food for the plants.
And through the process of photosynthesis the plants take sunlight and convert that carbon atom into tree trunks and leaves and flowers and roots.
And the way that we do that is through the process of the plants and flowers and roots to be stored in the earth.
And they exhale pure oxygen.
One of the reasons of being in nature is so wonderfully refreshing.
And now go back even further to a fond childhood memory.
Re-puberty.
Before your body started to morph,
To change,
To the you that you have become.
And just be with that you.
And once upon a time you.
And notice what were your hopes and dreams back then.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Do you have friends from back then that are still in your life now that are still dear to you?
You've certainly met a lot of new friends and acquaintances along the way.
People that you cherished back then may have left this plane of reality and merged back into the great ocean of consciousness.
And now notice there is a part of you that has remained the same through all these iterations from that prepubescent you that was long ago.
To that teenage you on the brink of independence,
Ready to spread your wings and fly.
And that you from a decade ago,
And hundreds,
No thousands of you,
In between,
But constantly changing you.
All the way back to the present.
And notice that there is a part of you that has been there every step of the way.
That went back there with you right now.
Even to that age when you were single digits.
This awareness that you're experiencing right now,
That I call the theater of your mind.
Powered by the most special effects department on the planet.
What is this space that we're in right now?
This is the space inside of which everything is being seen.
Inside of which everything is known.
In which everything occurs.
And of which everything is made.
And I want to play around with this space right now.
Before we begin that exploration,
Just take a little inventory,
And see if in any way this space feels attached to your body mind before I brought that up.
Or were you already experiencing a moment of transcendence?
Transcending that egoic body-mind with which we hold such a tight identification sometimes.
And I'd like to see on this exploration if we can loosen that just a bit.
And see that while we have a body,
We are not our body.
And while we have a mind,
We are not our mind.
No more than we are the hands that we have,
Or the feet that we have,
Or the thoughts that we have.
But very often when we're making our way through the human experience,
We get lost in this perceived illusion.
And find ourselves very identified with that story of you.
But for now just allow that body-mind to fade away.
It won't go anywhere.
You can let that story of you gently fade away,
And choose to pick it back up again if you want to.
Or perhaps recognize that you can just choose to let that go as well.
Or perhaps recognize that you can just choose to let that go as well.
So just find yourself in this space of awareness.
What do we call this space?
The theater of the mind is really too small,
Isn't it?
Doesn't engulf all of this that is.
Notice the power of this.
Just have the intention to allow your awareness to rise up above you,
So that you're looking down at that body and mind below.
And rise above the building that you're in right now,
Or the container that you're in right now,
To a higher space.
And feel just by having that intention,
And following through how expansive this space of awareness has become.
You might see yourself as just a small little speck into a great big landscape.
And go higher.
See your whole city.
Or just for a moment,
Come and see my city.
My city is Anchorage,
Alaska.
Located at the northeast corner of the Pacific Ocean,
And in the south central part of one of the biggest places on the planet.
Twenty percent of the entire United States is right here.
And as we float up above Anchorage,
You can see the Pacific and the Cook Inlet.
And you may begin to notice that Anchorage is surrounded by mountains.
We call it the Anchorage Bowl.
Everywhere we look,
There are mountains that are four thousand,
Five thousand,
And six thousand feet high.
Bringing this beautiful city on the northeast part of the Pacific.
And if you go a little higher,
You can see Canada and Russia.
Gotta be up here,
You can't see it from my front porch or Sarah's.
But here,
In this space of pure awareness,
It's very clear,
Isn't it?
And just begin to notice,
Is there an edge to this space of awareness?
Turn your attention to the moon.
And see it rotating around the earth thirty-eight thousand miles away.
Turn your attention to the sun,
Around which we rotate,
Ninety-three million miles away.
And look out to the stars,
And the galaxy,
To the edge of the known universe.
Three point nine billion light years.
And that's only what we've known so far.
How expansive is awareness?
Can you find an edge?
Can you find an end?
I think you'll notice as you explore that you cannot.
And we have a name for that in our language.
Infinite.
Unending.
Let's play along with that timeline a little bit.
We bounced back earlier,
Ten years,
Into our teenage years,
Into our childhood years.
Easily and effortlessly.
And you can go forward and see yourself getting older.
And you might even see yourself near the end of your time on this human plane.
But as you consider it,
From this space,
Is there any sense that that will be the end?
I don't know about you,
But I can't find it.
And think too about all of the history of all of the human body minds,
The characters that have appeared in the play on this planet.
And notice one thing,
That every sentient being has been aware of,
At least on some level.
They've been aware of this space.
And they've had lots of different names for it.
The Great Space,
The Great Time,
The Great Spirit,
The Holy Spirit.
God,
Allah,
Krishna,
The Buddha Mind,
Yahweh.
Indigenous people have as many different names as there are tribes.
The ancient Greeks saw Zeus and Apollo and Athena.
The Vikings saw Thor and Loki.
Every spirit that's ever had a human experience has been in touch with and aware of this space that we occupy.
In this moment,
A space beyond time.
And we have a word for that too in our language.
Eternal.
And depending on how your awareness of this space shows up for you,
You may call this source or consciousness or Holy Spirit or your soul,
Or you may have a different name.
But I invite you to consider that this is your true authentic self.
This is what Telhard was talking about when he said that we're spirit having a human experience.
We are awakeness.
We are beingness.
We are consciousness.
Showing up in the perceived relative plane as a Bobby or a Jimmy or a Mary or a Diane.
Like individual waves,
Probability amplitudes in the field of all possibilities.
Taking form.
Taking a name.
But like our thoughts and our skin cells and our values and our ideals,
Those are temporary,
Transient.
This place where you are right now is permanent.
It is infinite.
It is eternal.
It is the space inside of which all of this miracle that we call life occurs.
Nothing that has ever happened to you or ever will happen to you happens outside of this space of awareness.
This is the space inside of which all things occur.
It is the space through which all things are known.
And it is the space of which all things are made.
And I invite you to consider that you have what I call the prime choice.
And the prime choice is when you show up in the perceived reality.
Are you showing up as this you?
The divine I am,
Infinite and eternal,
Made of consciousness,
Made of God's infinite love.
Pure being.
Or are you showing up overly identified with that little constructed identity that I call the egoic body-mind?
And you can notice a difference.
You can check in and see for yourself.
Check in and see if in the moment you are showing up as love.
Or are you showing up seeking love?
Do you believe the feelings and emotions that you experience are telling you about the temporary transient circumstances of a temporary transient being?
Or are they merely inner guidance,
Your inner GPS,
Reminding you that you can come back here,
Back home,
Any time that you desire.
Back to this place,
Where you are in touch with amazing resources,
Innate mental clarity,
Innate physical well-being,
Innate resilience,
Innate joy,
Innate bliss,
Innate tranquility,
All wrapped into a package that we conveniently call unconditional love.
Let that be a guidepost for you,
Kind of like a lane loss indicator that they have in more modern cars.
And if you're driving down the highway of life and you start to drift a little bit,
Just listen for the beep,
Beep,
Beep.
That indicator indicates that you're drifting out of pure flow and into the illusion.
And you can certainly do that any time that you want.
There's great pleasure to be held,
And infinite love hiding itself merely for the pleasure of seeking itself again,
And receiving the reward of finding itself again.
But it can also be used to keep you in touch with wisdom,
The whispers of wisdom that are guiding you through life each and every day.
Back into this spot,
The space that you are in,
That we can call our authentic self,
Or we can simply call home.
And notice that in this space,
There is peace and tranquility,
And peace and peace and peace.
In this space,
There is peace and tranquility.
This is the space that the yogis refer to when they use the phrase,
Namaste.
Which means there's a space inside of me that pays honor to the space inside of you.
That when you're in that space,
And I'm in that space,
We are one.
No separation.
Back home again,
Merely appearances of consciousness,
Bringing the formless into form.
And as we are living from this space,
We literally become a fool to make God's love manifest in the illusion.
It is from this stage from which the Bodhisattva emanates.
The Bodhisattva,
According to the ancient wisdom,
Is one that is enlightened.
And enlightenment is the understanding that we are this space.
And the Bodhisattva has chosen to live from this space as pure being,
Having a human experience,
And has decided that rather than transcend the illusion,
And return back to the bliss of pure consciousness,
To that space that Christians and Jews call heaven,
To that space that Buddhas and Hindus call Nirvana.
Rather than transcending the human experience and returning to this space,
They've chosen instead to continue to walk,
To make their way through the experience,
But showing up as an expression of love,
Rather than a limited constricted body-mind that is in a constant pursuit of love,
A constant pursuit of happiness.
It's living with the realization,
The ultimate insight,
That like the dog that is chasing its tail,
Thinking that it's a wonderful prize to be captured,
And finding itself frustratingly,
Just out of reach,
Elusive.
The faster it moves,
The faster the tail runs away.
And then one day,
The dog realizes that that which it is seeking is a part of who it is.
And I invite you to consider that which you are seeking,
That which you are seeking is a part of who you are.
And know that you can return here anytime,
Just by closing your eyes and taking conscious control of your breath,
And following the process that we use to get here.
This audio can be a road map to guide you back home again from wherever it might be that you will adventure moving forward,
As an expression of consciousness,
As an expression of unconditional love,
Rather than a seeker of pure consciousness,
Of pure awareness,
Of unconditional love.
So in a moment,
We'll leave this spot.
So in a moment,
We'll leave this spot and return to our waking state of consciousness.
But let us do that no more quickly.
And we can fully bring this awareness with us.
That this vibration of peace and love and tranquility and bliss that we're feeling right now can vibrate in every cell of our body and every fiber of our being.
Let us walk with this pure awakeness and pure consciousness as we make our way through the day.
Einstein said that perceived reality is an illusion,
Albeit a very persistent one.
And should you find yourself again,
Lost in the illusion,
You can treat it just like a mantra when you're meditating.
Don't kick yourself.
Don't allow your inner critic to speak up.
Just return awareness back here again.
Return to the light.
For like the sun,
Your light is always shining.
There are times that we're facing in the wrong direction and we can't see it.
There are times when the illusion pulls a veil over the truth like clouds on a cloudy day.
We can still know the light's there.
We can sense that it's there and know that those clouds are also transient.
And embrace the wisdom that it's always darkest before the dawn.
And to reignite the dawn,
All you need to do is return to this space any time that you want to.
So go ahead now and take in a nice deep breath.
And as you do this,
Notice how quiet and effortless your breathing had become.
People in this deep state are typically only breathing two or maybe three breaths in a minute.
It becomes subtle and elegant.
Go ahead and breathe deeply now.
You'll notice that your heart will start pumping again.
Your heart will slip into your awareness.
Then say that the sensations of the room around you will return.
You can feel whatever it is that you're sitting or laying on.
And when you're ready,
But again no more quickly,
Then you can step forward back into the illusion bringing this bit of awareness with you.
Place your hands over your eyes and gently open your eyes.
Perhaps.
And greet the illusion and all those with whom you'll interact in the illusion with new eyes and new ears and a new mouth to make manifest God's infinite love.
And the sense of being that is unshakable.
Knowing that any time that you want to you can return back to this experience.
And I hope you will.

I skipped the first 15 minutes. The remainder where I became non-self, had all knowledge, rose above my delusions, was fantastic. Going back in time reminds me that I’ve always had access to this awareness and this knowledge. I lose it when my status, material possessions, clinging to a relationship shows up. But I can always go back to this infinite space. Thank you.

Really nice. Today's meditations all seemed to have a similar theme. Meditation can be constant. Draw the consciousness from the illusion of reality to the Buddhaland, heaven on earth here and now and do all I can without struggle to stay there. The Christian book says Pray incessantly. Enlightenment looks like that. Constant awareness of the Divine One. May all beings achieve this, including me.
