Before we begin,

Make sure you are in a comfortable place in your home where you will not be disturbed for as long as you need.

Put your electronics on Do Not Disturb,

Grab your journal,

And a favorite pen or pencil to write with.

Put on some comfy clothes,

Maybe even light some candles to set an intentional mood.

You will be answering some questions with your inner voice and recording them in your journal during this practice.

The best way to do this is to write quickly and without filtering what comes out.

There are no right or wrong answers.

Just allow yourself to freely express whatever comes up.

And now,

Find an easy pose to rest in,

Either in a chair,

On the floor,

Or on your bed.

Close your eyes and begin to notice your breath.

Allow the breath to be natural and relaxed.

As you go deeper inward,

Begin to regulate your breathing.

Inhaling for 5 counts,

Holding for 5 counts,

And exhaling for 5 counts.

Exhale 2,

Do this cycle for 5 more breaths in your own rhythm.

Allow the breath to relax your entire body.

When you complete the last cycle,

Pause the counting and return to your natural breath.

With your eyes still closed,

Begin to imagine yourself in front of an elevator.

The doors open and you step inside.

You press a button and watch the floors drop as you descend 7 floors deep into your consciousness.

When you reach the bottom,

The doors slowly glide open and you see a beautiful sacred garden in front of you.

You step out of the elevator and onto the path.

Take a moment to fully immerse yourself in your surroundings.

Notice each detail.

The trees,

The flowers.

Hear the birds singing to each other.

Feel the breeze against your cheeks as it carries the smells of the plants past your nose.

Take a look up at the sky.

What time of day is it?

What colors do you see in the expanse above you?

Begin to draw your gaze toward yourself.

Imagine that you are wearing the most beautiful clothing you've ever worn.

What does this look like for you?

Take a moment to notice the details and how you feel in these clothes.

Envision yourself totally at ease in this space as your most confident and radiant self.

Now take a moment to step out of your shoes and begin to stroll along the path further into your garden.

Feel the earth underneath your feet and spread between your toes.

Are you walking on grass or sand or stone?

Continue to notice how the path unfolds before you.

Are there any animals in this garden joining you on your walk?

Do you see waterfalls or ponds or maybe a stream running alongside the path?

You begin to notice the pathway comes to an end ahead of you.

At the end is where your sacred meditation space lies.

As you walk toward this space,

Allow your imagination to create exactly what you need to relax and find the answers to all of your questions.

Maybe it's a small bench or a seat on the ground surrounded by flowers.

As you get closer,

It becomes clearer and you feel more at ease with each step.

You take a seat in your sacred meditation space and survey the garden you've created around you.

Return your attention to your breath now.

Take five slow,

Deep,

Full body breaths,

Inhaling,

Filling everything up slowly and with intention.

Exhaling,

Allowing everything to release fully and freely.

And again.

A few more breaths at your own pace,

Falling more into your relaxation and coming into a deeper state of awareness.

Now you will answer a few questions.

After each question,

Open your eyes for a moment and quickly write down whatever comes to you without judgment,

Allowing your inner voice to express what it needs to express.

When you have your answer,

Close your eyes again and return to your sacred meditation space.

Take two deep breaths to recenter before moving on to the next question.

You can pause this recording if you need more time.

Slowly inhale and exhale.

And now we begin.

What are you most afraid of?

What aspects of your life need to be transformed?

What do you want to accomplish by doing this work?

What are you most afraid of,

Someone finding out about you?

What are you most afraid of,

Finding out about yourself?

Where in your life have you felt small or unfulfilled?

What's the biggest lie you've ever told yourself?

What do you want most in your life?

What could hold you back from doing the work necessary to create your most aligned and fulfilled life?

When you have your last answer,

Close your eyes and return to your meditation seat.

Take a deep,

Connecting breath here.

Allow yourself to acknowledge the courage and heart it takes to do this work.

Offer gratitude for yourself for taking the time to dedicate to this practice.

When you feel complete,

Begin to rise from your sacred inner meditation space and walk back down the path.

Gaze around all the beauty you've created in this space.

You can come back here at any time to find the answers you need.

Slowly make your way back in front of the elevator doors.

As the doors glide open,

You step inside.

You press the up button and begin to ascend back up.

I loved the immersion of the exercise to imagine our sacred meditation space. It was really calming and allowed me to really connect and be able to hear my inner voice and desires. I’m looking forward to returning to this meditation again in the future.
