Hello,

Welcome and thanks for joining me.

This inquiry should be done in a quiet space on your own,

Not while active or driving.

It needs your full attention and for you to be in a safe place.

Sit or lay down in a way that's comfortable for you.

Together we're going to take a look within ourselves to experience our higher power.

This is an individual experience.

We're not looking for answers or secrets of life.

We're just inquiring,

Taking a closer look at what is deep within us all.

So let's do this together.

Let me guide you in.

Make sure you're in a comfortable position for you,

Whatever suits you is best.

If like me you find it difficult to stay awake during meditation,

At times sitting up is a preferred position.

Let's just hold that position just for a short period of time.

Get settled in and comfortable.

Okay,

Let's take a big deep breath together.

All the way in.

So let's begin.

Focus your full attention on the very top of your head.

Just be there,

Laser focused on the top of your head.

No consideration or judgment of what's there.

Just focus.

It's quite easy to get distracted or lose focus.

Not a problem,

Just realign.

Take a breath and get yourself right back to where you were before.

Appreciate any sensations going on in that part of the body.

But don't get carried away with any of them.

Just remain with the focus there.

Nothing else,

Quite gently.

We're focusing with our entire being.

And just being in one place.

Okay,

Let's take a big deep breath in.

All the way up.

Hold it for a second.

And release,

Let the air flow out of you.

And as you breathe out,

Move your focus down to your throat.

We've gone from the top of the head down to the throat.

And we're going to be fully focused there.

And while we're there,

Let's relax the muscles and the tissues and everything in the throat.

Let's give the throat permission to relax.

Use that voice in our head to tell it to relax just a little bit more.

We're just going to sit there with the focus there as before.

Gently in the throat.

Notice what's there.

We're not going to carry anything too seriously.

We're just going to be there.

Well done.

Now we're going to take another big deep breath in.

All the way up,

All the way up.

Hold it for a moment.

And breathe out,

Just let the air leave your lungs.

And as we breathe out,

We're going to bring the focus down from the throat into the chest.

Right in the centre of your chest.

Right where our breathing is happening.

Again,

Let's give this part of our body the permission to relax.

Let all the tension go right there in the chest.

Let the breathing become easier.

And it flows without effort.

It doesn't require our attention.

We're just focusing there.

Not to make it do anything different.

But that's where we are right now in the body.

Just rest there.

Well done,

Doing beautifully.

Let's take another big deep breath in.

All the way up,

All the way up.

Hold it.

And then out,

Let the breath all the way out.

Let your body relax even more as we do so.

Now we're moving our attention down to our stomach.

Nowhere in particular,

Just wherever you feel comfortable in that area.

Just let things settle.

This is the part of our body where we experience all kinds of emotions.

If there are things going on there at the minute,

No need to get involved with them.

They're still going to be there later,

Just let them be.

However,

As we sit there for just a short period of time,

We start to get a sense of something.

Although we're in this part of our body,

The space that we're occupying now is not part of the body structure.

There's a sense of familiarity.

And it feels different.

Yet we're still aware that we are within our body.

This is where our gut feeling comes from as we describe it.

Although we're not always actively aware of it,

We're very familiar with this part of our body.

But we've never really given it the focus and attention it deserves.

Let's focus right into that area now.

Not on any one particular thing,

Just in this area as we know it,

Where those intuitive feelings come from.

We don't have to name this area,

Or give it a location,

Or even describe it to ourselves.

There's no need for that inner monologue to be talking our way through this.

It's not like that,

It's just a sense,

And we feel it right there.

And there's a knowing right there deep inside us that feels very much like home.

Don't try to narrow it down.

No need to listen or interpret anything.

Just be aware of this space inside you.

It's not really the body,

But it is you.

The real you.

You may get a sense of calm coming from this area.

Feeling at home and belonging in this area,

This awareness.

Again,

We're just being here with ourselves,

Yet aware that there's something more,

Something different.

Can't describe it,

And there's no need to try.

This experience in this part of our body,

This is the home of our higher power,

This is where it lives.

This is our introduction to this.

It's our first conscious experience perhaps,

Maybe not.

But we're being here right now,

Together.

This experience lives deep down inside of us,

Whether we're aware of it or not.

Always there with us.

We're just going to experience this,

We're just going to allow it to happen.

It may change,

It may intensify,

Fade away at certain times.

Don't be discouraged.

This happens,

Just let it happen.

Don't be discouraged,

Don't lose focus on this area.

If we do,

Take that big deep breath in again,

Relax,

And just find that place deep down again inside.

Once we've been there once,

We can never unlearn this,

We can never unexperience this either.

We know it's there.

We know it's where we belong.

Let's just sit with this now.

I'll give you some time,

And I'll come back to you at the end.

No need to worry,

I'll keep the time,

You just keep the focus.

This time is enough now.

We can return to the present moment again,

And let go of our focus.

The experience you've had is unique and individual to this moment.

You can return here again at any point you wish,

And have a new experience.

Start to be aware of this space in your life,

And see whether your higher power speaks to you.

What does it say,

What does it feel like in certain moments,

And what can you learn from it?
