Welcome to this practice of Yoga Nidra.

My name is Amber Claire and I will be your guide as we go on a journey to explore your inner world.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to set up your space to enhance your experience of comfort and relaxation.

Gather any props you might need such as a pillow for your head,

A bolster for underneath your knees,

A blanket,

An eye mask or turn the lights down low.

When you're ready,

Lay down on your back with your feet falling slightly outward.

Place your arms down by your sides with your palms facing up towards the sky or turned in towards your body.

Take a few moments here to adjust before settling into stillness for the duration of this practice.

Intend to remain aware as you listen to the sound of my voice.

Open to whatever images,

Feelings or sensations arise at any point during this practice.

Start by tuning into the element of air by becoming aware of your breath,

Your prana,

Your life force.

Allow your breath to flow smoothly in and out through your nose,

Filling up and emptying your diaphragm with each inhale and exhale.

Continue this smooth and relaxed breath and in a moment we will begin a cleansing and nourishing technique called point-to-point breathing.

During this exercise you will couple your awareness and breath as you travel to different energy centers in the body.

First traveling to your toes on your exhale and moving progressively upward as you breathe in.

After completing all levels of breathing in an ascending order,

The pattern will be reversed and the breath will be gradually moved back down to your toes.

Even though the distance your awareness travels in your body becomes shorter,

The breath nonetheless should remain smooth and relaxed.

Let's begin.

Start by simply observing your breath.

And now take a breath in and exhale as if the breath is flowing from the crown of your head down to your toes.

And then inhale your awareness and breath back up to the crown of your head.

And then repeat.

Exhale your breath and awareness all the way down to your toes.

Inhale to the crown of your head.

One more time,

Exhale to your toes.

Inhale to the crown of your head.

Now exhale from the crown down to the level of your ankles.

And inhale back up to your crown.

This time exhale down to the level of your knees.

Then inhale back up to your crown.

Exhale down to the base of your spine.

Inhale back to your crown.

Exhale down to your navel center.

Inhale up to your crown.

Exhale down to your heart center.

Inhale up to your crown.

Exhale down to the level of your throat.

Inhale back up to your crown.

Exhale down to your brow center.

Exhale to your crown.

Breathe back and forth between your crown and brow center five times.

Now,

Reverse the order and descend.

Exhale down to the level of your throat.

Inhale back up to your crown.

Exhale down to your heart center.

Inhale up to your crown.

Exhale down to your navel center.

Inhale up to your crown.

Exhale down to the base of your spine.

Inhale back up to your crown.

Exhale down to your knees.

Inhale to your crown.

Exhale down to your ankles.

Inhale up to your crown.

Exhale down to your toes.

Inhale to the crown of your head.

Now let your exhale flow downward as if the breath is flowing through the soles of your feet and onward to infinity as far as your awareness will take you.

And then inhale as if the wave of breath is flowing upward through your body into the crown of your head and on to infinity as far as your awareness goes.

Sense that you are lying in the center of a wave of energy and bliss.

Observe your breath as you relax your body,

Breath,

And mind as if you are being breathed.

Rest here in this effortless,

Calm,

And relaxed breath for the remainder of this practice.

Move your awareness now back down into the center of your chest,

Right into your heart center.

Feel into this state of calm and wholeness with loving awareness for all parts of your being.

It is here that we begin the practice of yoga nidra.

Begin to plant the seed of your sankalpa,

The seed which reveals your deepest heartfelt vision and desire.

Your sankalpa is a clear and concise statement used in positive language in the present moment that aligns with your truest self.

For example,

Your sankalpa might be something like,

I am awake.

I belong or I am free.

Allow yourself to receive your sankalpa by tuning into whatever arises from your heart space.

Begin to have your sankalpa wholeheartedly and with conviction,

Repeat it three times silently to yourself and allow the seed to be planted in the garden of your mind.

Feel it.

Be it,

For it is truth.

During this practice,

It is natural to move in and out of consciousness.

Make a gentle agreement with yourself to remain aware.

However,

If you drift off into sleep,

Trust that a deeper part of you is always listening.

As you lay here,

Imagine a pitcher or a jug of water hovering above you.

The fluid contained within and emanating from inside this vessel is the water of eternal life and enlightenment.

Observe as this jug of water floats over to the right side of your body.

Witness now as this container ever so gently pours a stream of this cleansing liquid onto and around your right thumb.

Just your right thumb.

Your right thumb is now bathed in this sacred pool of water.

With your awareness,

Watch now as this container moves over to flow water onto and around your index finger.

And now your middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky finger.

Now feel the cleansing waters of eternal life streaming onto the palm of your right hand.

And now the back of your right hand.

Wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Shoulder.

Underarm.

Feel this flow of water as it gently pours onto the right side of your ribcage and lung.

Waistline.

Thigh.

Knee.

Lower leg.

Ankle.

Top of your right foot.

Soul of your right foot.

And all five toes.

Feel the entire right side of your body now bathed in this sacred pool of water.

Your whole right side.

Your whole right side.

Fill the right side with your awareness now.

Now observe as this pitcher of water moves over to the left side of your body.

And now stream onto and around your left thumb.

Witness as it continues to pour this stream of healing liquid onto your index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky finger.

Water now flows onto the palm of your left hand.

The back of your left hand.

Wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Shoulder.

Underarm.

This jug of water now streams a pool of liquid onto and around the left side of your ribcage and lung.

Witness as it continues to flow down to your waistline.

Thigh.

Knee cap.

Chin.

Ankle.

Top of your left foot.

Soul of your left foot.

And all five toes.

Wash the entire left side of your body with your awareness.

Whole left side.

Feel the entire left side of your body now.

Now we will explore the back of your body.

Moving from right to left fairly quickly.

Feel as this pool of water flows to embrace the soul of your right foot.

The soul of your left foot.

The souls of both of your feet together.

The back of your right heel.

The back of your left heel.

Both heels together.

Your right calf.

Your left calf.

Both calves together.

Feel this pool of water as it envelops the back of your right knee.

The back of your left knee.

The backs of both knees simultaneously.

Your right hamstring.

Left hamstring.

Both sets of hamstrings together.

The back of your pelvis.

Lower back.

Middle back.

Upper back.

Feel your right shoulder blade.

Your left shoulder blade.

Now feel both shoulder blades together.

Your right arm.

Your left arm.

Both arms together.

The back of your neck.

The back of your head.

The crown of your head.

Feel your entire back body suspended and weightless.

Held in this cosmic sea.

This vast expanse of floating consciousness.

As you float here,

Bring your awareness now to the crown of your head.

Your forehead.

Your right eyebrow.

Left eyebrow.

Both brows together.

Feel your third eyebrow center.

Your right eyelid.

Left eyelid.

Both eyelids together.

Right eyeball.

Left eyeball.

Both eyes together.

Feel your right nostril.

Left nostril.

Both nostrils together.

The bridge of your nose.

The tip of your nose.

Your whole entire nose.

Feel your upper lip.

Lower lip.

Both lips together.

Feel your chin.

Feel the right side of your jaw.

The left side of your jaw.

And feel both sides of your jaw together.

Now feel your whole entire face.

Feel the right side of your head.

The left side of your head.

Now feel both sides of your head together.

Feel the right side of your throat.

The left side of your throat.

Feel your whole neck and throat together.

Feel your right collarbone.

Your left collarbone.

And both collarbones together.

The right side of your chest.

The left side of your chest.

Both sides of your chest together.

Your whole chest all together.

Feel the area of your abdomen from your ribs to your belly button.

Low belly.

Pelvis.

And root of your pelvic floor.

Feel both thighs.

Both kneecaps.

Both shins.

Both ankles.

Tops of both of your feet.

Feel your right leg from your toes to your hip.

Feel your left leg from your toes to your hip.

Feel the entirety of both of your legs together.

Feel your right arm from your fingertips to your shoulder.

And your left arm from your fingertips to your shoulder.

Now feel both arms together.

Keep your arms and your legs in your awareness.

And add your entire torso and your head to your feeling experience now.

Feel and sense your entire body surrounded and enveloped.

Weightless and suspended in this sacred pool of purifying water.

Whole body awareness.

Witness your body laying here,

Floating in this vast cosmic sea that extends outward from your physical form.

No boundary exists between you and the water.

There is no boundary.

No separation.

You are one with the waters of eternal life.

That serve as a link between all people and all life.

Clearing and upgrading all aspects of your being.

Rest here and feel into just how boundless and free your awareness truly is.

Connected to all of life that surrounds you.

Connected,

Whole,

Boundless and free.

Bring all of your awareness now to your third eye brow center.

Your Chitakash.

The seat of your soul.

And the doorway to higher consciousness.

In a moment you will be guided to meet an emotion and its opposite pairing.

This is an invitation to move beyond the dualistic thinking of either or.

And embrace what's called four valued logic,

Which includes both and.

This deconstructs the conditioned mind into its natural holistic state,

Allowing for a new and expanded understanding of reality to be seen.

As the opposites are called.

Allow yourself to go there.

Feel into the emotion,

Knowing that you will be brought back each time to your Chitakash.

A place to reset back into neutrality.

How does it feel to be disconnected?

How do you experience the feeling of disconnection in your body?

What does it mean to be disconnected?

Now let that go and return to your Chitakash,

Your third eye.

Now bring forth the feeling of belonging.

What does it mean to belong?

How do you experience the feeling of belonging in your body and soul?

Now let that go and return to your Chitakash.

What does it feel like to be rejected?

Feelings or images come up when you hear the word rejection.

Experience the feeling of rejection in your being now.

Let that go and return to your Chitakash.

Now tune into the feeling of acceptance.

What does acceptance mean to you?

How do you experience the feeling of acceptance in your body and soul?

Let that go and return to your Chitakash.

What does it feel like to be divided?

What feelings or images come up when you hear the word divided?

Now let that go and return to your Chitakash.

Now bring forth the feeling of unity.

What does unity mean to you?

Feel into the idea of unity with every fiber of your being.

Return now to your Chitakash and release any attachment to these points of polarity.

Come back into a state of wholeness where nothing is missing.

You are whole and complete,

Exactly as you are.

We will now move into imagery,

Starting with rapid visualization.

As I call these words,

Allow any images to move through your mind without any attachment to their meaning.

Rather than trying to imagine,

Let the imagination unfold within you.

A grandfather clock.

A bald eagle.

Cold hands.

A wishing well.

Crackling fire.

An old history book.

A pair of shackles.

A new invention.

A new invention.

The night sky.

An antenna.

A group of people.

Mother Earth.

Find yourself now in the driver's seat of a car that is floating down an endless stream of water in outer space.

The stream that carries you is calm.

And through your side window,

You gaze in awe and wonder at the vastness of the cosmos.

Witness yourself here drifting along in this black void filled with twinkling stars.

You look into your rear view mirror.

Then you see flashing images from your past.

What do you see?

Who do you see?

Feelings and memories of the past arise when you look into your rear view mirror.

You know where you have been.

But where is it that you want to go?

The car comes to a stop.

You look through your windshield and gaze into the infinite cosmic void before you.

The darkness in that void.

In the depth of nothingness is the sea of limitless potential.

The quantum field where all possibilities reside so long as you can envision it.

You watch as the stars begin to shift and move,

Creating a blank canvas,

A universal movie screen.

And a feeling of inspiration and excitement washes over you.

You are ready now to embrace your creative power and envision where it is you want to go.

Who you want to be and what you want to do that is in alignment with your soul's highest calling.

There is no limit to what you can envision and create.

You are infinite possibility made manifest.

You are in the driver's seat.

Allow your intuition to reveal this vision.

Where is it that you want to go?

See the vision on the screen before you now.

You are in the driver's seat.

You are in the driver's seat.

You are in the driver's seat.

You are in the driver's seat.

You are in the driver's seat.

You are in the driver's seat.

With this new vision of possibility,

Recall your sankalpa,

Your vow of truth.

Repeat your sankalpa to yourself three times.

Trust in the knowing that you are already that right here,

Right now.

Feel this truth with every cell of your being.

Begin to deepen your breath.

Each inhale infuses your body with your sankalpa.

All the way from your toes to the crown of your head.

Every exhale washes your body with a sense of limitlessness and loving awareness.

Know that as you ground back into your body,

Your skin and your bones,

Your breath and your heart,

All of these things that make you human are all connected to the universal cosmos,

To your purpose and your power.

Feel this as you stretch into your body,

Awakened and aware of all of the possibilities that lie before you.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

Start to bring some subtle movement back into your fingers and your toes.

Gently roll your head from side to side.

Stretch your arms up overhead and begin to increase your movements slowly.

Take as much time as you need.

When you're ready,

Roll over to one side with your knees hugged into your chest.

Rest your third eye center on the ground beneath you.

With your eyes still closed,

Make your way up into a seated position with your hands at heart center.

Bow in reverence and gratitude to all that was revealed and all that will continue to unfold.

Sat Naam.
