If you are familiar with being the observer and watching your thoughts, this little hack will really help. I share a simple practice that I use daily to more easily shift into the "chooser" of the thought. I find in time this makes welcoming all qualities of thoughts easier. The purpose is to feel better about anything you observe and create the space that allows you to apply your creative choice. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome!

I am so glad that you're here today and with a big warm smile on my face I just want to say thank you for being here and to share something that I think is pretty cool.

It's a little hack that I use when I practice mindfulness and I practice being the observer and it has to do with categorizing your thoughts and putting them into one of two categories.

And it's very interesting because the whole purpose of this exercise is to judge yourself less and to be more in a place of being able to choose with clarity,

To make a choice based on your power.

And it seemed like labeling something might feel like you're judging it but just watch how this works.

So you're gonna notice throughout the day that most of our thoughts are not of great quality.

Most of them are either self-deprecating and very judgmental or they just don't do anything to fuel the experience you actually want to create.

So any thought you have in the day that you observe that doesn't make you feel great,

It could be something that makes you feel horrible or something that just feels meh,

This isn't really doing anything for me.

Anytime you feel those lackfull sensations you're going to notice what thought accompanied it.

What thought was I thinking that matched that emotion?

And when you notice it you're going to say,

Oh of course I felt that way.

That's a garbage thought.

That is a faithless,

Low quality,

Piece of crap thought.

And then you're just gonna let that go.

And so there you go,

You've put it in its bin so to speak.

And then throughout the day when you have a high quality thought or a thought that produces higher vibrational feelings,

Freedom,

Love,

Curiosity,

Excitement,

Even calm,

Any of these things that fall into this category,

You're gonna say this thought is a cutting-edge thought.

This is a high quality,

Faith-filled thought.

And you're just going to label it that way.

And you're not gonna say,

Oh I did so good I had a faithful thought.

You're just going to look at it and say that's high quality.

You're gonna put your stamp of approval and just see it like that.

And as you begin to do this with all your thoughts that you are able to catch you're gonna notice that it becomes very easy to let it go.

Because what's gonna happen is instead of falling into that natural,

Habitual way of judging it,

Whether for good or for bad,

You're going to instead take an action which is stamp the thought and put it in a bin.

And when you do that it gives you a little bit of a gap where you have this space that feels like you're apart from it.

And with the space you've just created you have now put yourself in a position where you can choose,

Okay do I want to have faithless thoughts that make me feel like crap or do I want to have love-filled thoughts that create confidence and create clarity and participate with what I actually want to create.

And what I notice when I do this is within a little while of doing this I can have a negative thought come up and I can simply see it and be like,

Oh of course I felt that way.

Obviously I did because that's just a garbage thought.

That's what it is.

So of course a garbage thought would make me feel like garbage.

So okay and I just let it go.

And as I do that I begin to realize that it's not me that that thought has a certain quality,

That the quality is just simply its nature and that it has nothing to do with me.

And it's my choice to fill my life with those kinds of thoughts if that's what I desire.

And again no judgment.

But what happens is when you catch the higher quality thoughts you'll see that your faith is kind of increasing in yourself.

I really like the word faith.

It's not religious to me.

It's more jam-packed trust and it's very personal.

I feel like it's trust with like a personal edge to it.

So you are trusting yourself because you're seeing,

Okay I'm a high quality being,

I have high quality desires,

And only the high quality cutting-edge faithful self-confident thoughts are going to fuel the direction I want to go.

And then it just becomes this kind of playful picking and choosing throughout the day.

You observe the thought,

You label it,

You let it go.

You observe the thought,

You label it,

And let it go.

And it might seem strange at first when you try it but believe me if you do it for a few days give it I'd say give it a week.

Do this every day for a week.

When you remember you don't have to be obsessive about it.

But as you do just say,

Oh there's that feeling,

And just say oh that simply is dot dot dot thought.

So it removes the complexity of needing to sort through things while inviting an opportunity to choose with clarity.

And it also kind of feels good to see something that is garbage as not a part of yourself.

It's like okay well this is just logical,

This is just obvious,

This is how things go.

Reasonably this is what I would expect to be experiencing with this kind of thought or that kind.

So anyway I hope this really helps you and I hope that with time you are leaning into choosing faith-filled thoughts,

High quality cutting-edge thoughts because that is the being you are.

You have so much power,

You have so much ability within you,

And all you need to do is simply return back to that space where it is you coming before what you choose.

So have a very beautiful day and thank you again for coming by.

Very nice tip from you. I am soooo thankful. Also, I’m glad you see the word “faith” as more of a personal and non-religious thing. It’s all about deep trust. 💜
