Today,
We're going to do a meditation and affirmation around perfectionism.
Often we overthink and create plans.
We overthink and we create plans in order for us to get to a place of what we may think is perfection.
Some people may call it setting a goal.
Absolutely nothing wrong with setting goals.
But when you adhere to stick to that perfect plan that you created yourself,
Often we don't allow ourselves to be steered and redirected.
We're not allowed to recalibrate because the universe also has an idea of where you can fit in,
Where you could go,
How this can happen for you and create that happiness that you've always wanted.
If you can let go of the perfection that you've created when you made that plan,
Then you will succeed and it will unfold as it should.
It is okay to be perfectly imperfect.
It is okay to not understand what the outcome may look like,
What it may feel like when you get there,
What success may appear to be when you get to that goal.
It is okay to have a plan,
But when it becomes to the point where it has to be perfect,
Where it has to be exactly the way that you said it would be or that a book said it would be or a guide told you it should be like,
Then you leave no room for change.
The blinders are put on and you cannot see outside of that vision.
You've lost your peripheral way.
And so I want you to repeat after me out loud or in your mind.
I do not need to be perfect.
I am okay just the way I am.
I understand that there may be changes,
Bumps in the road,
Curve balls thrown my way and I know that it isn't because there was something wrong with me that I've made a mistake and my vision was off.
I know that it is the universe's way.
My subconscious mind veering me off course just ever so slightly because it wants to really get me back on course to get to that plan,
To get to that goal.
And if there is a change where I cannot meet that goal,
I can't make that destination.
I have to cancel the plans.
I'm not going to move when I thought I would.
I didn't get that job.
That relationship didn't turn out.
It's because the goal,
The perfect plan,
The place that you need to be to find happiness is not in your vision as of yet,
But you are on your way there.
You see every plan that you make,
Every idea that you have,
Every goal that you create is but a stepping stone,
A rung on a ladder to get you to that place of love,
Happiness.
And even though there are days where the clouds are dark,
The wind is blowing and I can't see my way through the fog,
Those days that my vision is clouded,
My thoughts are dim and I'm feeling pressed down.
I'm feeling stagnant,
But I need to rest.
I know those are days.
They're also very valuable,
As imperfect as they may seem.
They are valuable.
They are wonderful and I will honor them.
I will honor them because it is mother nature's way,
The universe's way,
My subconscious way,
God's way,
Buddha's way,
Jesus way,
Mahatma's way of redirecting me.
It's changing the course just a little bit.
It doesn't mean that the course that you were on was wrong or imperfect or that you made a mistake.
It doesn't mean that at all.
It's just a little detour and you couldn't have gotten to this detour.
You could not have gotten to this place unless you started out on the path to begin with.
You are perfectly imperfect just as you are and that's okay.
Namaste.
