Fake it till you make it.
One of the things that I love to do is positive affirmations.
I will tell you that I suck at it most of the time.
Um,
Well maybe not most,
But a lot of the time.
And that's because I've got this regular critiquing,
Problem solving critic in my head that won't shut up.
Do you have one of those?
Do you have a few?
I think I have a couple.
Anyways,
The part of me that loves to problem solve and help people,
Uh,
Create and design their future by doing astrology readings and creating the solutions to making all those dreams come true is an amazing gift.
I love it.
My clients love it.
And to be able to foresee the future of when this can all be implemented even better.
So the thing is that when you learn to create and force yourself to have some positive affirmation,
But I have to remind myself every single day.
And the way that I do that is by putting sticky notes all over my house,
Not all over,
But there's a lot of places.
And I write things on it like you're beautiful,
I'm beautiful.
You're smart,
I'm smart.
You're fit,
I'm fit.
But one of the things that I found that really works and I'm going to tell you,
I struggle with a bit of weight like a lot of people that get to my age do.
And uh,
No,
I went into early menopause at 38.
So ever since then I've struggled with my weight that little bit that you can't just get rid of.
That 20 pounds is my little bit.
And when I go around saying I'm skinny,
I'm healthy,
I'm fit,
You've got to be very careful.
You don't want to just say you're skinny because you can be skinny because you're not healthy.
So I'm skinny,
I'm healthy,
I'm fit.
I start to lose weight.
I start to get smaller and then I fall off the bandwagon and then there's that awful nagging voice telling me I'm no good because I can't work hard enough to lose that weight,
Etc.
What I had discovered is that if you sing it,
Literally the part of the brain where the emotions are and music is,
The unity of those two are very close together.
It's already been proven that when you're working with Alzheimer's,
You're trying to get them to remember or bring up a memory or a feeling.
You add music and that brings up the feeling and connects it to a memory.
And so I created a little sing song that I think can help and I'm going to put this separate as well.
So all you have to do is on YouTube,
So all you have to do is re-listen to the sing song over and over and over again.
But make up your own.
Make up your own mantra and mantras are the best because we remember them.
So for instance,
When I used to and I still do,
But when I used to always suffer from panic attacks,
Which was related to what's called a thyroid storm when I was 29,
I would go my body,
Mind and soul is happy,
Healthy and whole.
I think I made it up.
I don't know.
Nobody told me to say it.
My body,
Mind and soul is happy,
Healthy and whole.
My body,
Mind and soul is happy,
Healthy and whole.
And I would repeat that every time I would be in a panic.
And the brain is amazing when you tell it something,
When it hears something,
Okay?
And if I stopped having a panic attack during that time,
Even just once,
It will condition itself to go,
Oh,
My body,
Mind and soul is happy,
Healthy and whole.
I got to stop having a panic attack because it's in,
It starts to become routine,
Right?
Now I can't say it works every time,
But it worked a lot,
Right?
So the sing song that I made up today is I'm Beautiful,
I'm Smart,
I'm Healthy and I'm Fit.
I'm Beautiful,
I'm Smart and I'm Happy and I'm Fit.
I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart and I'm Happy and I'm Fit.
I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart and I'm Healthy and I'm Fit.
I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart,
I'm Healthy,
I'm Healthy,
Beautiful and Smart,
Smart,
Healthy,
Healthy,
Beautiful and Smart and Healthy,
Happy and Fit.
I'm Beautiful and Smart and Healthy,
Happy and Fit.
I'm Beautiful and Smart and I'm Healthy,
Happy and Fit.
I'm healthy,
I'm happy,
I'm happy,
Happy,
Happy,
And guess what?
I'm fit and I'm smart.
Mm-hmm.
