Be aware that is is a song without music and singing mantra. Music and words together are more impacting. One of the ways music affects mood is by stimulating the formation of certain brain chemicals. Dopamine is the brain's “motivation molecule” and an integral part of the pleasure-reward system. If you like this tell me if you would like more that is similar?

Fake it till you make it.

One of the things that I love to do is positive affirmations.

I will tell you that I suck at it most of the time.

Um,

Well maybe not most,

But a lot of the time.

And that's because I've got this regular critiquing,

Problem solving critic in my head that won't shut up.

Do you have one of those?

Do you have a few?

I think I have a couple.

Anyways,

The part of me that loves to problem solve and help people,

Uh,

Create and design their future by doing astrology readings and creating the solutions to making all those dreams come true is an amazing gift.

I love it.

My clients love it.

And to be able to foresee the future of when this can all be implemented even better.

So the thing is that when you learn to create and force yourself to have some positive affirmation,

But I have to remind myself every single day.

And the way that I do that is by putting sticky notes all over my house,

Not all over,

But there's a lot of places.

And I write things on it like you're beautiful,

I'm beautiful.

You're smart,

I'm smart.

You're fit,

I'm fit.

But one of the things that I found that really works and I'm going to tell you,

I struggle with a bit of weight like a lot of people that get to my age do.

And uh,

No,

I went into early menopause at 38.

So ever since then I've struggled with my weight that little bit that you can't just get rid of.

That 20 pounds is my little bit.

And when I go around saying I'm skinny,

I'm healthy,

I'm fit,

You've got to be very careful.

You don't want to just say you're skinny because you can be skinny because you're not healthy.

So I'm skinny,

I'm healthy,

I'm fit.

I start to lose weight.

I start to get smaller and then I fall off the bandwagon and then there's that awful nagging voice telling me I'm no good because I can't work hard enough to lose that weight,

Etc.

What I had discovered is that if you sing it,

Literally the part of the brain where the emotions are and music is,

The unity of those two are very close together.

It's already been proven that when you're working with Alzheimer's,

You're trying to get them to remember or bring up a memory or a feeling.

You add music and that brings up the feeling and connects it to a memory.

And so I created a little sing song that I think can help and I'm going to put this separate as well.

So all you have to do is on YouTube,

So all you have to do is re-listen to the sing song over and over and over again.

But make up your own.

Make up your own mantra and mantras are the best because we remember them.

So for instance,

When I used to and I still do,

But when I used to always suffer from panic attacks,

Which was related to what's called a thyroid storm when I was 29,

I would go my body,

Mind and soul is happy,

Healthy and whole.

I think I made it up.

I don't know.

Nobody told me to say it.

My body,

Mind and soul is happy,

Healthy and whole.

My body,

Mind and soul is happy,

Healthy and whole.

And I would repeat that every time I would be in a panic.

And the brain is amazing when you tell it something,

When it hears something,

Okay?

And if I stopped having a panic attack during that time,

Even just once,

It will condition itself to go,

Oh,

My body,

Mind and soul is happy,

Healthy and whole.

I got to stop having a panic attack because it's in,

It starts to become routine,

Right?

Now I can't say it works every time,

But it worked a lot,

Right?

So the sing song that I made up today is I'm Beautiful,

I'm Smart,

I'm Healthy and I'm Fit.

I'm Beautiful,

I'm Smart and I'm Happy and I'm Fit.

I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart and I'm Happy and I'm Fit.

I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart and I'm Healthy and I'm Fit.

I'm Beautiful and I'm Smart,

I'm Healthy,

I'm Healthy,

Beautiful and Smart,

Smart,

Healthy,

Healthy,

Beautiful and Smart and Healthy,

Happy and Fit.

I'm Beautiful and Smart and Healthy,

Happy and Fit.

I'm Beautiful and Smart and I'm Healthy,

Happy and Fit.

I'm healthy,

I'm happy,

I'm happy,

Happy,

Happy,

And guess what?

I'm fit and I'm smart.

Mm-hmm.

Great idea to sing your mantra, loved the playfulness of this meditation! Thank you...I will use your mantra, " My body, mind and soul and healthy, happy and whole!" What a beautiful affirmation!

Holly, I don't think I've heard your speaking voice before, but I have to say a huge, warm THANK YOU for this. Not only do your words and personal struggles - and creativity in finding unique, effective ways to manage those struggles - deeply resonate with me, but your voice and accent is so very comforting to me. I grew up in north central NJ (they've changed exit numbers a few times since I moved away, so I can't tell you that, alas) and the majority of my family in that area had spent the majority of THEIR lives in Brooklyn and the Bronx. (A few years of Queens here and there tossed in for good measure.) I recently lost the last of my grandparents, and am currently witnessing the likely imminent passing of one of those New York-born family members. That will leave me with one living family member who I have heard with that accent all my life. While I'm a Jersey gal (not "girl" in that way, and you KNOW it's not "Joisey" though I do love my diners), I've traveled and lived all over the USA and world. Currently in what I feel is the Deep South, though I am assured by locals and my in-laws that they certainly do not consider it to be such. You made me smile today, and I have a warm glow in my heart. I have sing my own mantras for a long time (because, background), but I have never varied them up within a song as you do, nor made it quite so long and involved. I may set some of these mantras of mine to the tune of some of my older and more simple melodic line compositions and see how that goes. Sticky notes are great (you can't see the top of my desk at work, as it's covered with them, as are other places), but your song is always within you and with you when paper is not. I'm still smiling. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us here. Bookmarked and downloaded. I see the light in you. 🤲❤️🤲
