So as and when you're ready,

Slowly closing your eyes and just bringing your awareness to that breath in the belly.

Just allowing yourself to observe that gentle rise and fall.

It happens automatically and we're not trying to change the breath in any way.

Just getting curious with what is it doing in this moment and remembering it's not something to be fixed,

So it's allowed to be fast or slow.

It's allowed to move in easily or feel a little bit more restricted.

It's allowed to be smooth.

It's allowed to be jittery.

So letting go of any labels of good or bad.

Just allow it to be whatever it is in this moment.

We often find that when we let go of the expectations of how things should be,

We find a little bit more grace,

A little bit more relaxation.

And you may want to support that by gently softening the muscles across the brow,

Letting go of any tension around the eyes,

Loosening the jaw.

Allow those shoulders to melt away from the ears and letting go of any tightness in the chest,

The belly,

The hips.

You may even feel called to let out a bit of a sigh as you feel that tension leave your body.

So taking in a nice deep breath and letting go of any extra tension with a sigh and take a moment to just enjoy this feeling of ease within.

We're going to bring our attention now to that area of the throat chakra,

This whole throat area.

Just like we did with the breath,

Just get curious.

How does it feel here today?

What sensations are present?

Are there areas that feel more vibrant than others?

Are there areas that feel more numb or dull?

All of them are welcome.

Just allow yourself to explore,

Noticing if those sensations change at all or if they're static.

Do they change as you observe them?

And get curious with any thoughts or memories that pop up.

As you rest your awareness here,

Our body is often like a big memory tank.

When we focus in on a particular area,

We can bring to light something we've been storing.

You may find emotions come up for you.

No,

That's perfectly fine.

Whether they're pleasant or unpleasant,

They're all welcome.

And asking yourself if these sensations had a shape,

What shape would they be?

What texture would they have?

What color would they be?

And if you find yourself getting pulled away into thought or getting distracted,

No,

That's perfectly okay.

When you realize,

Just gently redirect your attention back to the sensations in the throat.

We're going to breathe in some vitality into this area now.

So as you take in a nice deep breath,

Imagine light filling up this area at the throat.

Or maybe you just feel it as energy,

Whatever feels better for you.

And on the out breath,

We're going to let go of anything that doesn't need to be there.

You don't even need to consciously know what those things are.

It might be beliefs or conditioning,

A memory,

A perspective.

And we don't need to know.

Taking in another nice deep breath into this area.

Again,

Releasing anything that doesn't need to be there and continuing that pace.

And if you find any emotion is activated,

No,

That's absolutely fine.

It's just energy and motion,

Nothing to be worried or scared about.

Just allow it to move through in whatever way feels good for you.

And keeping that focus on the throat chakra as you continue to breathe in and then releasing and bringing that healing light in and letting go of that which isn't serving you,

No longer needs a place.

And letting go of that breath whenever feels good for you.

Whenever you do,

Just allowing your focus to stay in this area at the throat,

Continuing to be curious.

Has it changed?

And one of the other ways that we can activate our throat chakra is with the power of chanting.

So together,

Let's chant on the sound of the universe.

And as you do so,

Just be really present with how do you feel in your throat area as those vibrations move through you.

Feel free to play with how you're using the mantra,

How loud you go,

How soft you go,

How long you extend each letter.

Quieter and quieter now,

Till you're just whispering and just saying that mantra internally now five more times and noticing how that feels in the throat now.

What's shifted?

What's changed?

What feels the same?

Enjoying the silence that's left behind and starting to notice now the feeling of contact with the chair or floor,

Bed or couch beneath you.

Notice where you end and that object begins,

That feeling of gravity that's keeping you connected to earth and starting to notice the feeling of the air on your skin,

The temperature of the room,

Any sounds that are calling you back into the outside world and as and when you feel ready,

Slowly opening your eyes and coming back into the room.
