Each week I tailor a new mindfulness session by incorporating ten affirmations to different parts of our lives. What we tell ourselves creates the life we live. This week's concept focuses on creating more empathy toward fellow humans. Practice kindness and self-care by repeating positive statements that will allow more tolerance and acceptance toward humankind.

Hello,

Thank you for joining me for Weekly Affirmations.

This week we are focusing on developing more empathy for others.

So find yourself in a comfortable seat or lying down or walking.

Close your eyes if it feels right and bring some awareness to your breath.

Inhaling deeply,

Exhaling completely.

Realizing how you feel as you take deep,

Long breaths.

Allowing any muscles to soften that are tense,

Maybe behind the eyes or the mouth,

The neck,

The hands or the feet,

Letting a wave of relaxation wash over you.

The definition of empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

So as you breathe and settle in,

Being receptive to these suggestions,

Allowing them to wash over you,

To help you spread kindness,

Joy,

Compassion and tolerance throughout the world.

So as I read each affirmation silently,

Repeat them in your mind.

I am working towards having the ability to understand and share the feelings of others.

If your mind has wandered,

Come back to the breath.

As you take a breath in and out,

Let these affirmations seep into your soul.

All of these affirmations were things that you can do each day to use and grow your empathetic muscle.

There is no time in your life where you can stop growing and becoming more empathetic.

Thank you for clicking on this meditation so that we can grow and expand our tolerance and love for all humankind.

Let's end our time together with a few deep breaths.

So exhaling all your breath out,

Inhaling deeply through the nose,

Feeling your chest rise and your stomach expand,

Sipping in the cool oxygen,

Our life force.

And then exhale,

Let it all go,

Let all your biases,

All your negative thoughts,

Letting it all go,

Everything that does not serve you.

A couple more breaths like this,

Inhaling deeply,

Allowing any muscles to soften and relax that have tensed up.

And exhaling completely,

Sighing it out.

One more time together,

Inhale deeply.

And exhale completely.

And before you open your eyes,

Notice if there is anything that your heart is trying to tell you or any intentions or anything you would like to do today based off your affirmation list to help you grow your empathy.

Commit to doing one thing.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Bring movement into your hands and your feet.

Look around your room as if it's the first time you're seeing.

And take this perspective into the rest of your day.

Allow a sense of newness to come to you when you meet new individuals.

Thank you so much for allowing me the precious gift of your time.

Until next time.
