It's a part of our human existence But having ongoing chronic anxiety can be quite debilitating We start to create thought patterns that are destructive and counterproductive I I encourage you to repeat these statements in your mind to help break the anxiety cycle But first let's breathe relax the body so our mind will follow Sitting upright eyes closed Take a moment to feel your body and notice any sensations That is coming from it Bring your awareness To your forehead and as you take a deep inhale Allow the muscles to smooth and soften Relax and expand and as you exhale Allow your cheeks your jaw And all the muscles of the face to melt and soften Breathing in and out Being conscious to have your exhale just be slightly longer than the inhale Letting your body know that we're in a safe environment And it's okay To relax With this next inhale and exhale allow the back of the head and the neck and the shoulders To just expand release and let go Noticing if you're holding any tension in your chest your stomach And see if you can energetically let these muscles Soften and release Inhaling and exhaling Feeling where your seat meets the cushion and letting your hips Open and expand Noticing if there's any tension and your legs your ankles or feet And just allowing your whole body to relax In your mind repeat these statements and just breathe and settle in I Am safe and under no threats from the world I Am safe and under no threats from the world I Am in charge of each breath I take I Am in charge of each breath I take I Choose to feel calm and take deep long relaxing breaths I I choose to feel calm and take deep long relaxing breaths I Am brave and strong and can overcome anything I Am brave and strong and can overcome anything I Look forward to a happy bright future I Look forward to a happy bright future I Take things one step at a time I Take things one step at a time I Do not need to conquer this whole day just this one minute I Do not need to conquer this whole day just this one minute I Am NOT in danger,
